I have been having good luck over here. Beers are 2 for 1($2), and they've got Pacifico. Beers for the chicks are $4.25. It is on Coahuila, on the way to Manhattan/New York. When I go in there, I'm the only gringo in the place. This bar has now been promoted to be my main hangout. However, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't know spanish fairly well.

I'm not Diego but I've been in the Playboy Club. It's a place with not a whole lot of gringos (I was there with Shorts and I think we were the only non-locals in the place), a good place to dance and drink...probably half the girls will go up and half will only make their money from dancing and drinking. The chica I was with (in my subjective opinion the best looking one..most of the others were of the chubby persuasion) came right out and said "mi no hotel".

Lately, I've been impressed. But these smaller places are always changing. Get it while the getting's good. When it starts to go downhill, just start looking for another place.

Make sure to take small coins (pennies or 10 centavos) to throw at the MC, I think it's kind of a running joke.

I tried my W.C.Fields routine (candy) in there and the mesera loved it. She followed me out the door to find out when I would return.

YMMV seems to apply to clubs too. Last week I spent a short time in the Amor Latino club. The MC was trying to be funny and there was an interesting mix of audience and chicas. A few dancers that were about 5 points below the top of the scale but they were enjoying themselves. The bartender was even watching out for me as I was sitting at the bar. He made sure I got the correct change. When I went up to dance, the chica gave my jacket to the bartender to keep behind the bar. Nothing was removed from the jacket. The only reason I left then was a short flaca chica named Cynthia started to hustle drinks. She was fun too but as soon as I noticed that she was drinking like a fish, I cut things short and left. That and she was trying to get the bartender to order drinks without my ok. She walked me to the door. The general atmosphere was upbeat with a local fun mood.

Well Sunday night was a slightly different experience. I just got a few inches inside the curtain when I looked up just as a dancer tossed a drunk into the table/chairs immediately in front of the doors. The drink on the table went flying barely missing me while the table and chairs went across the room. The drunk ended up where the table was originally. I stepped aside as they helped the drunk out the door. I looked around and it did not seem to be in the fun mood that it was last week. So I left right behind the drunk. Maybe next time will be different. YMMV.

If the opportunity or urge presents itself, this place has a relative nice privado room with decent size bed and heat. $20 for 1 hour - negotiate with the girl.
