Another one that should be executed. There are a few of them around but the one that I've been to is in Plaza Rio right as you walk into the main entrance on the opposite side of the movie theater. The food here is buffet style and it just plain SUCKS. It tastes AWFUL. Ever notice how Mexicans eat salt, lime and chile on everything they eat. That's because most of the time the food tastes like carboard (like at this restaurant) and they have to put this stuff on so it will have some taste to it. Don't go here.

hi
i agree this is not the best place to eat if you are an american cause the food is bland.
t money - this is a good comparison on how california food tastes compared to new york or the east coast food.
but mexicans seem to like this place,
a lot of girls want to come here before or after the movies.
it is kinda pricey for what they offer but hey its a buffet
milkstyle

I would have to agree, I knew a girl who loved to eat there. The food was worse than cafeteria food. One time when I came down with a friend & his wife, my girl suggested this place for dinner. I told her there was no way I was taking my friend there they would hate it.

I have to admit to eating breakfast there more then a few times and it wasn't that bad. I made the mistake of stopping in there with a chica before a movie one night and it was awful. After a few breakfasts there, I found the Camino Real breakfast buffet and never went back to California. The Lucerna also has a decent breakfast buffet but like the California, there's more Mexican food then breakfast food.

What the heck, since I have commented more than once as to how much I hate the food at this place, I'll join in the chorus here, as well.

I agree that the buffet looks pretty bad - I order from the menu. Only had breakfast here, it's not bad from the menu. Mexicans sure do like the buffet here (they also LOVE Hometown Buffet in the US).

My 3 Muchaca amigas love to eat there.
Saturday it cost me over 50 bucks and the food was not worth shit.
But still they insist on this place.

I agree it is awful but some chicas just love it. Maybe the overflowing buffet concept is a fantasy fulfilled for some people who were raised on the brink of starvation. Similar to how some of us losers look upon the zona norte when it comes to getting laid!!! ;-)

Worst place ot eat in Tijuana next to Sanborns.
About 4 years ago they had a Feb special buy 1 buffet get one free from 3pm to 5pm or something like that.
We got their around 4:20 and had a horrible buffet and coffee and got to the register at 5pm and they would not honor their special. Manager said we ate after 5pm which was bullshit cause we were at the register at that time.
I called them every name in the book paid and left. I was gonna call Ahora-007 for help but didn't have his number on me

Based on the reviews, I know I won't be setting foot in this place, but I'm curious as to what they serve. I assume rice and beans but what are the main dishes?... tacos? quesadillas?
