With full credit to Bosco.
I have seen Dr. Arturo Gonzalez for regular check-ups (tooth cleaning and minor filling repair). He is very good and uses the same equipment an American dentist would use (as far as I can tell).
On occasion I have had a tooth cleaning from his assistant and she is not as thorough as Dr. Gonzalez. I have always paid cash, I don't know whether you can use plastic. He is inexpensive, the most recent check-up was $40, I think.
The best part is that he is in a building next door to Executive Massage! You can reward yourself for the trip to the dentist.

I have had excellent work done by Dr Corinne Vizcarra. She is a Dentist and oral surgeon.
She came recommended by a physician colleague of mine.
She does biological dentistry which is state of the art and non toxic.
She is extremely meticulous and comes highly recommended from various practitioners from LA to here locally.
Highly recommended.

They communicate best by faxes. Good health
I have had more than my fair share of dental work and she is by far the best I have encountered.
She is not dirt cheap but certainly cheaper than comparable service in the states.

Innocent: Does Dr. Vizcarra speak English?

Yes she speaks I'd say fair to good English.

Strikeegale,
I'm glad you had a good experience with Dr. Vizcarra. I'm very conservative about giving out referals so I'm pleased it worked out. I'm due for a little more work myself.
The long waits have really cut down my visits to TJ but I can feel one coming on soon.
Enjoy
Innocent,
I've not seen this doc.
I simply re-posted your comments from the threaded board.
I'm trying to archive some of the quality info from the threaded boards by moving it to the Discus side. There is a ton of info on the threaded boards that can't be found, because those boards are not searchable.
Sorry for the confusion, but Thank You for the suggestion on this dentist!

Anyone ever go to a Chiropractor in TJ?
I need a back adjustment but have not ever seen referrals to one down there. Tanya is good but I need someone who can actually re-align my back.
I should be able to get laid and have my back adjusted in TJ for what I'm paying up here.

Merican: Check the building by the bus station as you walk past pharmacy row.
Dentist: Dr. Dora Luz Garcia, Ph. 701-8550, 50% off on prices.
I've not yet used her services, but have reason to believe she is good. If not, please e-mail me, and I'll remove one of the most conspicuous of her ads.

Anyone out there have recent experience with a dentist in TJ?
I need to have a couple root canals performed and get crowns installed, but don't have the cash to have it done stateside.
I need a dentist myself.
One of my expensive porcelain fillings fell out.
I lost my Motion Picture Industry insurance and
no other insurance will cover it.
I've been meaning to ask the same.
Any recent experience with reputable TJ Dentists?
