I agree with Blazers in his Los Arcos report that Mariscos Don Pepe on Blvd. Fundadores a little past the Tijuana Brewery is execellent. My upscale Mexican friends really like it and it is not really expensive. The dishes and service are superb. It is an execellent place to take your novia. However, I never do because this is where I take my family when I want to show them a very nice inexpensive restaurant in Tijuana. I took everyone from my mother, wife, sister and children last Christmas and had plates the cost about $10 to $14 and they would have been $35 up in San Diego. My mom still talks about it.

What is their menu like? I generally like Los Arcos; but am not crazy about all the cream sauces that they use.

You can get your fish cooked anyway you want from deep fried (not recommended) to baked in garlic and lemon, sauces or not. Just ask.

It's much smaller than La Costa and casual dress is acceptable. Mi favorita recommended their House Special NO. 1 which included 1/2 dozen Oysters Rockefeller, jumbo shrimp, breaded shrimp, fish fillets, octopus and other dishes that I can't remember. The meal, drinks and tip totaled $66.

$66 is a lot of drinks. We usually have a full meal, three drinks each and the bill is about $40. The meals run $9 to $12 each.

My post should have been clearer. The special was about $20 per person. It was a LOT of food as it was served on a large platter.

WHERE: 688 Blvd. Fundadores
DIRECTIONS: Go East on revolution. Make a right on Fundadores right where Revolution turns into Aguas Caliente. Go down Fundadores until you see Tijuana Brewery on right hand side. It's right across the street from the brewery.
RATING: Five Stars
CLOSEST MONGERING: Massage Parlors behind Sanborns off of Revolution.
FOOD: Superb. The highest quality ceviche in TJ. Extremely fresh seafood. I highly recommend the combination which contains lobster, filet mignon and fish fillet. Also try the calamari in Chipotle sauce. All meals finished with frozen Kahlua smoothie. Nice touch.
ATMOSPHERE: Very small restaurant with some well stationed lighting. One of the most romantic spots in TJ.
SERVICE: The best
PRICE: Average entree 7-12 dollars.

Blazers,
Doesn't Revo run north and south?
