How many of you were at the Adelitas on Thanksgiving night? C'mon, fess up. If you were, you might have not only seen me there, but heard me there also. On Thanksgiving night, I was invited to take another perverted trip with a friend of mine down to the city of immoral sin. I went with a friend of mine who quite literally falls in love with anything down there. ( I'll call him "David" to help protect the guilty) David went looking for his future wife at the Las Chavellas, while yours truly ventured into my old stomping ground, Adelitas. The Mexican guy with the microphone was a little hoarse because he had a sore throat. So he gave the microphone to me and asked if I would kindly announce the stippers as they went onstage. I announced every dancer with a slight introduction, i.e. their names, age, where they were from, etc. And I guarantee you Gents, with my announcing and asking the patrons to be more kind with their generosity, I encouraged all those horny bastards to dig deeper into their pockets and give, give, give. i made more money for the girls that evening, and a couple of them even came over to me and thanked me for announcing their acts in English and for encouraging the customers to tip. Then the M.C. asked if i would kindly continue announcing the girls and I politely obliged. This may lead into a full time position if I play my cards right.

Giovanni!
That was YOU??? I SAW YOU ! ! ! You were doing such a "bang-up" job that night without even "banging"! You were great! I though that they hired you to do that. You sure looked happy up there. Everyone could see the huge lump in your pants - that what we were all laughing at. KEEP IT UP!

I started to walk into AB last night, about 10pm, Saturday, May 3rd. The DJ was foaming off with the usual "Chinga su madre! Chinga su madre!" Sometimes, it is 4-5 times, in 1-2 minutes.
It is not the foul language that is offensive to me- tho, those are "fighting words," to many. His description of dancers as "putas" is somewhat offensive, but mostly, I'll let those who know the language better, deal with that one. Indeed, the women there that I've asked about it, are offended by that word.
The reason I walked back out before the curtains could drop, is, that DJ is tiresome, grating; not entertaining. To have someone say the same thing, over and over, is irritating.
It was after Thanksgiving that you might have heard me in AB. Yelling at that moron to SHUT UP. Perhaps it was a good thing, that I could not be heard, over the too-loud sound (I had to use earplugs). I might have gotten my skinny little tail kicked around. Perhaps I should have taken the advice on Redsnake, & offered up a dollar, to buy his silence, and less volume on the music.
I would gladly tip a more considerate DJ, one who was bilingual, who would play the music at a volume somewhat less than deafening, who would announce in Spanish and English the dancers' names and where they are from, who would carry on with enthusiasm, but not as if it was his first time to see a naked woman. For that DJ, $20 would probably be like the chicken feed that a good waiter makes in an elegant restaurant. The tips would far outweigh the guaranteed wage.
That such a DJ could "work" for so long in a high-price, high-volume bar is ludicrous, amazing, and further evidence of their lack of care for their clientele.

"Chinga su madre!"
Means what?
"To have someone say the same thing, over and over, is irritating."
This is exactly why I resist learning Spanish!
"His description of dancers as "putas" is somewhat offensive..."
Yes! Someone might get the wrong idea.

I saw some chicas left the bar at the end of shifts and each tipped the door man dos dolares. Consider there are hundred fifty chicas there, these doormen can pocket $200 - $300 a day, maybe more. I'd like to have that job myself.

Next time I go into AB, I will propose the following to the DJ:
"If you shut the fuck up for 3 hours, I will give you 20 dollars. The only time you can utter a word is to introduce the chicas but you cannot make comments."
I let you know his response. Probably get me kicked out.

That foul-mouthed blather is just part of the schtick over there...If the Zona represents anything, it represents degeneration, depravity, and degredation...AB sits at the center of it all...
