Quite honestly, I had low expectations for TJ. I expected the clubs and the rooms to be dirty, filthy messes; they were adequate. I tend to tune out details, so it's very possible they were horribly sordid and I didn't notice; the point is that the details weren't shoved in my face so I found the experience pleasant.

I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of my experiences. The chicas may have had hard lives, but they want to make you happy. They are not beautiful, but they are cute and fun. The only truly beautiful girl I tried was that street girl, and she was a complete disaster.

My Chica selection method seemed to work well to ensure good session quality, but it also seemed to select older chicas. I selected the ones who greeted me in a friendly manner without going straight for the goods. I figured going straight for the goods was too blatant, and someone who wasn't friendly probably wouldn't be friendly in bed. All of my chicas I picked this way seemed eager to please and were talented at their work.

I felt safe in the narrow corridor between AB's and Chicago Club, but it looked like things became a lot more dangerous outside of that area. So I felt trapped there; this is in dramatic contrast to Cuba, where I felt I could go anywhere with minimal risk.

Getting laid a lot is highly addictive. I had to be very tight with my money to prevent a disasterous slide into bankruptcy.

From all accounts, it looks like after the air fare is paid, both Rio and Havana cost about the same as TJ, but offer higher quality experiences with both the chicas and in tourism terms. But Havana is now off limits to me due to the recent horrible human rights violations, and Rio is a 13.5 hour plane ride that you just can't do without extended time off.

Many of you are probably aware that I'm a photo/video fanatic, so you may be surprised at the lack of pictures in this report. Unfortunately, a friend borrowed my tiny camera, and my SLR-style digital camera and 3CCD video camera are both way too conspicuous to take to a place like TJ. Hopefully by my next trip I'll have a camera to take.

After BKK, UK, Aussieland, Philippines, Germany & Japan, I doubt TJ will occupy my #1 spot for mongering, but when you've only got 24 hours (used up in full either flying to OR from Asia), a hop across from Chula Vista is the easy answer. No SARS worries. No airport bullshit. No explaining a $1000 flight overseas. Just a drive down south in your own car. I like this simplicity.

Again, you are right about the general appearance of the girls. I would never fuck a streetgirl. Two reasons. One, reputation. Nobody knows or will tell you if she is a druggy or has AIDS. Two, there is no guarantee of satisfaction. There is no mamasan to complain to if she doesn't do her job. Yes, it costs more, but I never buy without a warranty (OK, bad analagy).

Rio @ 13.5 hours? Try Bangkok via Narita... a total of 24 hours! Ewwww is RIGHT! There is not ONE DAMNED WESTERN FOOD restaurant in that whole fucking airport! Talk about abhorrent! The second time I went, I froze and took one of those supermarket-made 2-foot long subs on the plane with me. I was glad I did, let me tell you. Regarding your A/V hobby, my friend the P.I. suggested he send me down to TJ with a camera inside a shirt button and a Hi-8 recorder in my pocket. But the last thing I want is to risk calling home collect wanting bail money sent to Mexico.

Rio and Buenos Aires DO sound attractive, and quite frankly, whiter-type women are the top of my list for perfect asses and overall fuckability, but I cannot legitimize $100 per chica for ST, especially after spending a grand just to get to them. TJ is it for quickies.

The girls want you naked, so I don't know if you could get good shots with the shirt button camera. Hiding a Hi-8 recorder somewhere would not be easy.

If you want to be cloak and dagger, the best way might be to get your chica up to your hotel room and hook up a webcam to a laptop and have it capture video. Of course this won't work out unless you can convince your chica to come up to your room instead of theirs.

From my reading of ClubHombre, I think Rio's Termas run around R$170, or $56 (at 3R/US$) for admission and sex with a single garota. There is one upscale terma (Centaurus) that gets some of the best and worst reports; it costs almost R$300 (US$100) to get in, including a session. If you ignore Centaurus, this is about the same as TJ, if not a little cheaper.

An overnight girl out of the Help disco is anywhere from R$100 to R$250. So that's anywhere from $30-80/night, which is a pretty good deal compared to Tijuana.

Those rates seem pretty comparable to TJ, and by all accounts the girls are both much better looking and enormously more skilled in bed.

This is from my memory of reading ClubHombre, so it might not be totally accurate. A lot of the stories, alas, don't include prices. Hopefully others will chime in with corrections if warranted.

I guess a BKK LT chica for $25 still beats out a RDJ $30-$100 ST, for those who prefer the orientals. But I am with you... nothing beats the 'rising' effect of a fine white girl doing the nasty, and doing it WELL.

Maybe Rio will be cooler this Fall. Hmm...

For those who are neutral on race, I'd say the BKK LT chica wins by a mile. But I have to admit that I like a girl with a little flesh on her bones because that means tits, and I love getting lost in a fine pair, which is pretty rare in Asia.
