Spent some time talking with both Sandra and Alene on Sunday 21 April. They were in both in front of Hong Kong at their usual station most of the afternoon and evening.

Alene has left Tijuana according to the girls on the street. One girl said that she would be gone for two weeks to visit her familia in Mexico DF. So far she has not returned so I asked her amiga Sondra how long she would be gone and she told me that she did not know.

I am wondering if anyone has spoken to Alene as of three weeks ago which is how long she has been gone. I am very fond of this girl and would like any information regarding her plans or whereabouts.

UPDATE---

Alin (correct spelling) will not return to Tijuana!!!

A sad day for me as she was a beautiful flower among the 'Field of Blue Children' on Callejon Coahuila. I feel great sorrow and a sense of loss. Perhaps there are others who share some sadness at her leaving.

I enjoyed our conversations conducted in my pathetic use of the Spanish language. Many times she would ask the question: Yo o Tu??? in the middle of my ramblings to figure out who I was talking about(invariably it was tu). Mrs. Nixon's gravestone epitaph reads: "Even when people can't speak your language, they can tell if you have love in your heart." I choose to think that Alin percieved that I have love in my heart for her.

She had a beautiful singing voice and when she sang to me she sounded like an angel and deep down inside her riveting black eyes which always took in everything was an 'awareness'.

I know full and well that to others she was just another girl to satisfy the urges and I feel sorry for you for not being able to get to know her a little better.

For me Alin was and remains "La Princesa de Mexico"(unrivalled and never forgotten). I will remember her always and forever until my last breath as she made my life bearable and exciting for a while (oh too short).

Beyond my own selfish yearnings for her is a happiness that she has returned to her family and hopefully to the people that love her. I know that she was miserable in Tijuana and I hope that my real affection for her made at least a small difference in her life there.

This is sad, I'll miss her too though she was rarely available the past few months when I would stroll the alley.. Over the years I've seen a lot come and go..

Some have been recruited to work in NYC, then return after a few years.. Others leave and their amigas tell you they are not returning so you will take up with them instead..

The odds are (just statistically speaking) that she will return within 6 months but life isn't lived by odds alone..

My guess is that Sondra is on the way out as well.. She is IMO somewhat similar in that she is real playful..

If I were you Lancer, I'd take up with Sondra as a surogate.. If Alin returns you can always pick up where you left off..

This is a case for me of missing the boat. I have always been attracted to her. I loved her beautiful smile and great compact body. I never got around to going to the room with her, even though I had many opportunities.

It is a case of grabbing the moment in TJ, or it might be gone forever.

Not to be argumentative, but I had her write it out the first time I met her for posting purposes, long before I saw this thread, and to Pecs credit she spelled it "Alene" on the paper, but then again what does it matter now. My guess is it probably is not her real name anyway, and thus was subject to her mood.

Regardless she will be missed beyond words, and hopefully she will find happiness away from TJ.

We all have our way of experiencing loss I guess. She called me from Mexico City and told me that she would not come back. The 'no mas' was loud and clear. I was glad that she thought enough of me to call and I love her for that too.

Daytimer, you are so right about her smile because it could light up the sky. I told her once that her smile was like a sunrise (one worth waiting for). The Spanish word for smile is sonrisa so much like our word sunrise isn't it?

And finally Slufagus, you are indeed so right. Alin does have two names: one that her mother and father gave to her when she was born and her other name that is written on the inside of my heart when I see her face!!!!!!!!!!!!
