The best lube, bar none, is "Wet Platinum".
Stays wet longest, tastes great, less filling, close to nature. Waterproof as well. 
I was turned on to this, so to speak, by a lady in Nevada who is into tantric sex, and those ESO sessions.
It is GREAT. And a little goes a long way.
BTW, KY and such were designed for medical uses, and not for lasting a long time. Only good if you are quick....

You can get Astrolglide in what they call a "pillow pack", holds 5ml and is in a tube maybe a couple of inches long. More than enough for one use, then toss it.
Nothing makes me wanna toss my tacos as much as seeing a half squeezed tube of KY in a chicas purse. Yuck. Well maybe seeing Curious playing "The Bad Cowboy" is worse.

Astroglide is great but Eros is a superior product. Slicker and less greasy. Unfortunately it's difficult to find and it's expensive.

KY makes a liquid lubricant that isn't that bad (not very similar to the KY medical gel style at all) and, better yet, comes in little ketchup packets. I carry KY-liquid packets with me whenever I carry condoms. All the other brands of lube that come in portable sizes, come in those idiotic "pillow packs" that are bumpy, don't lay flat in a wallet, and are prone to popping.

I subjected "Astro-Glide" to the acid test - La Manuela is totally devoid of lubrication - I didn't like it.
But Softlube's bad point is; in a girl that eventually moistens up, it's too loose. Use KY instead - it disapates after a while.
