I have a friend coming into town next month. Can anyone recommend the best way to find an apartment for a month? I am looking for something nice with easy access to the border as I will need to cross back into San Diego daily. What price should I expect? Dollars or pesos?

I've heard that apartments go for between 250-350/month for what you want. However, my Mexican friends who live in TJ say it is a very rough place to live. Many complaints of drug addicts and rateros. If you are American, you are a prime target for the aformentioned. Don't do it unless you are willing to pay top dollar for a safe neighborhood and that won't be a place with "easy access" to the border. Sorry.
