I posted the same warning on the Las Chavelas thread, but actually TB is pushing this even further, IMHO. TB is notorious for watering down the beer. I have avoided this place for some months, one of the reasons beeing the hustle, cheese plates, aggression by management and watered down beers.
I don't how they do and have never seen the bartender refill bottles, but the taste says everything. Maybe I have a sign written all over me that says "sucker", but I suspect it happens all the time.
I always wandered why so many locals drink Tecate cans at TB and LC. IMHO Tecate in cans is way worse than any other beer in TJ and gives me a hangover headache which XX doesn't. The answer is: if you need to drink more than a few, go to a real bar like LP/AB/CC where the beer is treated with respect.
I never noticed it at Miami/Hk, but haven't been there in recent months.

Yes, Tecate is POISON... but Dos Equis isn't much better. Thank goodness Miami/HK started serving Pacifico.
I don't think I would even start going into LC/TB - even if they do/are serving Pacifico... there is just something about those two places that really blows... and it isn't just the girls.
Cheese plates at TB, and dead bodies at LC are just the beginning of it. There have been cases of product tampering(drugging the beers) reported on and off over the years at LC... it wouldn't surprise me that they were watering down the beer... the fuckers are probably going into the bathroom and taking a couple of swigs out of carefully opened bottles, and then filling 'em from the tap, followed by a careful resealing.
About the only worse place for waiters and bartenders is Playboy Bar... other than the dude with glasses, this is a complete DEN OF THIEVES.

Man I spend almost all my waking hours in these 2 bars and they have to be the worst mesero in TJ. Pushing everything every 5 minutes. What a pain in the f...king ass. My favoritas are in both of these places and I got no choice.
Do chicas have cubetas so I don't have to buy every 10 minutes, if so how much or open to suggestions.

Tropical bar is probably number one with Mesero compliants of all the bars in TJ
Fuck them.
Yes Pecs they have Cubetas but no price break.
Do you know that bears are 2.75 each but if you buy a bucket of 10 it is 28 dollars !!!
Thats Mexican business for you !!

Hey Jbr,
I think you meant to say "was that you I saw coming out of kinkle last nite?" After all, you don't want it be known that you were inside the place!

yeah but he was asking for chica buckets and milky quoted the monger bucket price. there is no break when buying a chica bucket, but you can get away with only one tip. of course if the fricking bucket doesn't have a bottle opener or if your chica isn't skilled at opening beers with her teeth, then they will probably be expecting a tip everytime they are called over to open a beer.
also when buying chica buckets, you run a great risk of the chica pooring the beer into the bucket or sliding them back to a mesero or another chica.
