I have to say it has taken me some time to learn this board. At first I thought all Chica reviews were in the trip report section and I was thinking it was quite odd at how few TJ reports there was for a supposedly well known top rated website. I starting walking down the street and several young kids were heading into TJ to party. I walked across the border staying close to them and once on the TJ side three fine babes stopped in front of me and then asked the group that was following me if they were going to party in TJ and if they wanted to share a cab. The babes did not even bat an eyelash at me or say anything. I guess in my cargo shorts I did not look like a partygoer or maybe they just wanted to go with another group instead of a single male. I continued on and as I got to the Taxi’s I kept walking as I usually do with no eye contact then just told one guy that I would pay $5 only to go to AB. He was a decent cab driver and I arrived safely at AB in a matter of minutes.

Whew step one accomplished. What would keep this guy from driving me down a side street and dropping me of for his buddies to mug me? One reason I hate going solo.

I went inside AB and for a Wednesday I was surprised to find a good crowd and 40plus chicas. However the chicas in Hottie central were far from hotties IMHO. As I left Juan I went into Tropical which was super dead, about 10 chicas max, no lookers. BTW Mermaids had about 6 girls inside downstairs with guys none were attractive to me.

As I was leaving Tropical, this little frail American woman named Ramona walked up to me and started pitching me on introducing me to some street girls saying they were half the cost of the AB girls and better service. Once again I am not sure what compelled me to walk down the street and around the corner to the street girls with her but I did. Like you, I often go alone but I am comfortable walking around in the city. I'm not huge or anything, but I have been there enough to feel comfortable.

I hope this doesn't get you paranoid, but I think the biggest risk in TJ is actually from the police, which is pretty sad. Take a look through some of the threads regarding TJ police and what to do if a situation arises. Don't worry about it too much, it is really infrequent that problems arise, it's just that when they do, we are more likely to hear about it when it happens to a member here.

To put it in perspective, I've been hassled by the TJ police approximately 5 times in 5 years of doing about 350 TJ girls. The most it set me back was about 10 minutes and $40.

I never tell anyone I go to TJ so noone would know if I was locked up in the TJ jail. I don't carry an ATM just the alloted cash budget.

Aside from being a CPA, I have studied acting for many years so I learned long ago how to walk with confidence and hide fear. I am not really fearful in TJ, just cautious.
