I had a chance to stop by Peanuts & Bear bout 2 weeks ago on a Sunday evening. Walking by the entrance, I was greeted by a guy wanting to take me into the place. He was saying there was many girls inside, cheap beer, come on in. The interesting thing is that while showing me into the place, he started asking me if I wanted to go to the massage parlor. He then said there's not much in strip club, it cost too much for such little time, and that I would be a lot better off if I go to the massage parlor. LOL. One minute he's trying to get me in, the next he's trying to get me to go somewhere else. I'm guess he get's more for taking people to the massage parlor.

I decided to check out the place anyways as this was my first time visiting a TJ strip club. When we got inside, I ordered a beer for $3.75 or $4 and gave the guy a $1 tip. I took a seat in one of the booths and within 2 minutes a cute little brunette with a nice medium sized set of hooters and slim yet not too thin stripper came up and asked if I wanted a lap dance. I declined for now as I wanted to take a beer in and watch for the time being. Less then a minute after the stripper left, a waitress with another stripper came by and asked if I wanted a lap dance or to buy the girl a drink. I politely declined and they left. But it did not end, another waitress with another stripper came by and asked the same thing. Again I declined and away they went.

After about twenty minutes of relaxing, enjoying the beer, and watching the strip show on stage I finally decided to try out a lap dance. I chose the first girl that approached me as she looked real good and seemed to have a good attitude. I forgot her name though. I believe it was something like Alejandra? It was 2 songs for $20. Off to a small ass room with a curtain in the corner. There was nothing in there except a chair. Gave the $20 to the waitress and she asked for a tip. I gave her $1 and she asked for $5. I was like wtf? $5 tip for just taking the money, hell no. After she went away, the fun began. She started off by taking off her top and grinding her soft ass on my package. I watched the show for another half hour and decided to leave and head to the AB for some sex. I did see a guy take one of the strippers to the back of the bar to some room for some extras. Anybody have any experience with the extra services offered?

I'm surprised you didn't get hit up by another "famous" SC scam by being hustled for $$ for the extra song. I've seen it and heard about it a lot. Even a tip to the chica wouldn't prevent the waitress from telling you that you "owe" for the extra song.

P&B (IMO) is the worst place to go during the day if you want to be left alone. I've even gone in there with some Revo vets and the pressure from the waitresses was still unbearable. There are some incredible looking chicas at night there and the pressure vanishs at night.

I was there this past Sunday, the 6th.
They had a descent amount of girls there. There were probably around 5 girls and around 12 guys when I stopped by at 8pm.

P&B is plenty great most of the time during the busier hours and lately is a morgue during off times. During a good cycle even the off hours can be good at P&B...but presently we are NOT in a good cycle - not anywhere on Revo IMO.

The "regular" private dances remain a comparatively good value at $20 for two lengthy songs. The chicas consistently give up good mileage in the lap booths and are often open to suggestions for hand and mouth assisted happy endings for a modest monetary enhancement. My last visit I got HJ/BJ without any discussion of extra money though I gave the chica a $5 tip at the end. You are less watched by club personnel in the P&B booths than at Beverly Hills or Pussycats these days (at least by people who give a damn), and the curtains are less transparent.

In my experience, if you want a HJ/BJ in a regular booth expect to take the initiative yourself with a polite request or irresistable charm...otherwise, the dancers default to regular, though high mileage lap dances. If you discuss the issue with a dancer BEFORE you go to the booth she's likely to want to negotiate a substantial tip or try and take you to a higher priced space. But when you raise it as a matter of spontaneity during the dance, you may well be rewarded at a lower price or for a voluntary tip of your choosing. Just my personal experience.

FS can also be had in the booths but is a little more dicey because the club wants to sell the higher priced spaces for ultimate action.

Under no circumstances should you assume that all of the dancers provide extra services....especially weekend nights when they get lots of semi-pro/college girl types, including U.S. born latinas. These girls often refuse to cross the line (at least for a reasonable price).

One warning (but nothing new): P&B has got a small number of aggressive post-op transexuals on the prowl primarily offering fucky-sucky right off the bat. I usually see one during any given nightshift. I haven't seen any during the day in recent times. In addition to their aggressive solicitations, it is easy to tell the boys from the girls in this place as opposed to clubs like Bambi/Sans Souci in which gender confusion is the rule and not the exception.

Do they still have the same female waitresses that they used to have? I won't go to this place unless they're here.

They ahve a couple of female waitresses that I have seen around for a couple years. If you are new, they are pushy as ever.

The Fri/Sat nights here lately are very good IMO talent wise. Lots of chicas and good crowds. Laps are as Erip describes. It seems very easy to get extra mileage in the booth with many of these chicas for not a lot of extra cost. There are of course the high volume couple of hottest chicas, who think their shit don't stink, and have the guys lining up for dances on a busy night.....no extras from these gals as they are making bank without putting out. The next teir of chicas there are still pretty hot, and if you find one that you click with, you may have a great time in the booth. I was here last Sat night, and the upstairs was packed and the downstairs was half full at midnight. Cantinflas, the gorda waitress culture remains the same as it has been for years, particularly during the day. These mujeres are honest, literally tons of fun...HORNY too - they will inject themselves into the in-bar action if you show them a green light. They typically attach themselves to a dancer or two and try and sell their services and also may join in the gropefests over a ficha drink in a secluded back booth. Yeah, it can be good rowdy ribald fun. They are also the ones who will be stationed outside your lap dance booth (if anybody) if you get dances from their chicas...and typically they don't give a damn what goes on in that booth...except that if you've dropped trou, they may want to sneak in for their own look, touch and taste.

Night shifts have waiters on shift along with some waitresses. Nobody ever attempts to scam me at P&B these days. I'm guessing that the scam factor is minimal all around.

Erip, thanks. That was one of the best things about this place. The waitresses themselves were characters too. They were the only ones I did business with and they always took care of me (those male barkers at the front door would get pissed when I would tell them that I only deal with the female waitresses.) I made a rare visit to TJ on a Saturday night recently and decided to stop in at P&B. I arrived around 11:30pm and the place was as wild as I have seen it in a while. I grabbed the last open stage-side stool and absorbed the scene for a moment to get my bearings. Most of the booths were filled and the second stage was in use, with about half of it’s ring of stools filled. There seemed to be two or three groups of 6-8 guys celebrating something or other. It was a real bachelor party atmosphere.

The dancers were doing the typical 3-4 song/10-12 minute sets. Two reasonably attractive chicas did their thing while I enjoyed a beer. I noticed Osiris (Brick Shit House) and Brenda (Hottie di tutti Hotties) were working the room promoting the private lap dances. They were both quite busy.

Around midnight Vanessa took the main stage. She is sort of a mini version of a pre-boob job Brenda. She is an energetic dancer. And like most P&B dancers she is generous with guys who give her the standard dollar tip. She reaches down for your hands and presses them onto her tits. After a nice squeeze or three she spins around to let you man-handle her booty and legs. Each guy gets about 30 seconds of fondling for the $1. Not too shabby. I was in TJ oon 4/17/04 and could not find this place. After I had visisted Adelitus which was jammed packed and no seat to be found. I never saw so many guys taking girls out of the bar. The one I wanted just disappeared so I left. I went to Chicago and not one customer was in there, so left there and went looking for peanuts and beer bar and never found it. So went into Bambi's and got a 3 holer in the curtained booth. It was a very good experience as I had never tried it before and there were 3 people looking at us as the curtain would not close all the way. So any one who can direct me to p&B would be appreaciated as I plan to go back in a couple of weeks.

P&B is located in an alley that runs from Revo to Constitucion between Calles 3 & 4. The same alley gives access to the Caliente sports book. So look for Caliente at the NW Corner of Revo/4th and look for the alley to the North of the sports book. P&B is on the north side of the alley (right side if you enter from Revo), and up a flight of stairs. It is not well marked but there are always a swarm of barkers at the alley entrance on Revo who will take you up there and take your first drink order. Just make sure they don't pull a bill switch on you, though the P&B barkers seem less inclined towards scams than some of the other Revo clubs.

Stopped in a few weeks ago. The place was really pretty dead (8 PM). One dance (of course the action at the tip rail was high mileage). Finally headed over to Adelita's where the outcome is always certain.

I actually prefer P&B during the dead hours which are every single daytime and early evening, and many weeknights. The chicas make excellent ficha company in the secluded booths, everything is relaxed (including mileage standards in the privados), better opportunities to go the whole way either outside the club or a secluded area within.

The club is insanely alive on weekend nights after 10PM until close to dawn, and in the past it was great late on Thursdays and Sundays too (haven't been there recently on those nights to speak to current conditions). I also enjoy the club when it is in full throb on the weekend nights, but it is a whole different experience (as much so as CC is from day/evening to late night).

I asked the waitress for an ATM and she led me to the guys outside the door, one of whom led me to an ATM around the corner and told me it would only give me pesos, and they would change them for me back inside. Back in front of the club, one of his compadres changed it for me, and the rip off was that they told me the exchange rate was 20 pesos for the dollar. Like I said, it's my fault, being a first timer, but it doesn't justify what they do. After I'd figured out that I'd been ripped off, I left the club and told the guy outside I knew what the real exchange rate was. One of his compadres held up a handful of change and said to me, "Come here, amigo, I have a new calculation for you..." It amazes me that this place is so packed given that they are such creeps. Anyway, a good place to avoid.

You put yourself into the teeth of wolves and they will bite down hard. The wolves surround and infest most of the "adult entertainment" establishments in TJ and in every other red light district of North America for that matter. Scams are bad. Sorry it happened to you. But this absolutely will never change until TJ becomes Vegas like NYC's Times Square became Disneyland. So go armed with knowledge that is so easily available on this site and you have a great time without problems. To be kind, it really is a remarkably uninformed action to ask a sleaze club attendant to assist you in a financial transaction.

It is common knowledge to veterans that virtually each and every one of these guys are criminals, many or most of them deportees from the U.S. Management tolerates their scams to the point that the victim is unaware. I'm talking about all the clubs, not just P&B (major exceptions are AB and CC in the zona norte where the biggest scams are pulled off by bad session chicas and short-timing hotel worker scum). As soon as the victim gains awareness they are trained to back off their scam....that's why they had a "new calculation" for you. You can believe that compared to many of the other clubs, particularly the other Revo clubs, P&B has evolved into one of the most scam-free. However, in your case you just made too tempting of a mark. Bottom line: If you don't want to patronize scammers on principal, just stay out of TJ altogether.

If you need cash in TJ and get only pesos from the ATM, there are places to change back to dollars on virtually every Boulevard (except Revo) and sidestreet in downtown TJ...though keep in mind that only a few of them are open into the wee hours if that's when you anticipate your cash needs.

Dollar ATMs? Try Rio Rita Hotel lobby right across Revo from P&B...but lately they haven't been dispensing dollars consistently. The Bus Station on Revo between 6th/7th dispenses dollars, and so does the AM/PM at the corner of 7th/Revo. Some of the Banks along Niños Heroes do as well. Be aware that just because an ATM gives dollars doesn't mean YOUR card will be able to draw dollars as I learned when CalFed turned into Citibank and I can no longer get dollars from any ATM in TJ that I know about. But it doesn't matter since it is so easy to change back to dollars if I desire without consulting the criminal element hanging on the periphery of Revo strip clubs.

Anyway, something else I've been wondering about (not because of the scam principle): TJ is a big city -- like a million people -- and all us gringos seem to go to these couple areas where they know gringos go and probably charge accordingly. I would imagine there are hundreds of clubs in totally different neighborhoods, where the prices are geared mainly towards the locals and hence lower?

There are scams at AB/CC, just not quite as overt as the Revo strip club variety. I know my point in that regard was confusingly written.

When you buy a chica a $7 drink (or $11 Bud Light or Red Bull) at AB so that you can get acquainted - get a read on her before deciding whether to go to the room, or maybe just to build the fantasy by getting to know her a little bit, and then she slurps her drink down in 46 seconds and issues a proclamation that it is time to go to the room or otherwise she needs to "get back to work"...you've been scammed. This is more likely to occur in AB. Many CC chicas have acquired the decency to do honest ficha commerce...but buy a chica like Evil Julietta (now "Azul") a drink and you'll find out that there are exceptions. Many chicas who do allow themselves to get comfortable with a customer downstairs get into the scammy practice of gesturing to waiters to order their own next drink. You don't have to buy it when it arrives to your surprise at the table, but watch the mood go downhill rapidly from there.

Then there are the numerous AB/CC chicas who are enthusiastic and sexual and sensual and caressing in the bar...then you go to the room, they go right to trying to install a condom on your not ready for action member, give you a 14 second BJ, and lay down on the bed like a motionless boulder on the bottom of a placid lake...yup, you've been scammed.

Then there is the infamous 15 minute knock by the hotel attendant - sometimes it doesn't matter that you paid for an hour. This is the most institutionalized scam and these days happens pretty much only at AB's Hotel Coahuila. CC's Jalos Hotel runs a more honest operation.

Really, at this point I'm just having fun with this. But my point is that "red light business" wherever you go is scam country. It comes with the territory. As long as we want to be able to enjoy the offerings of these kinds of rough and tumble outposts, cons and crime are a given. When the authorities come in and clean up all the crap, they also take away what we came there for in the first place.

So if you are a newbie, just hang in there, acquire knowledge and experience and you will know how to deal with it. Peanuts is packed during prime time because it has good times to offer. Have fun!

Man I finally found peanuts and beer bar and boy are those people in there desperite. I took the lap dance with the best looking girl I have ever seen in TJ and it was not good. When I finished with her I sat at the bar and some babe tried to pick my pocket. They try to force themselfs on you and the fat wattresses are after you to go for S-F and lap dance and they want 5 bucks tip. I got out there after about 30 minutes. The women looked good and they did good dances on stage, but as I say, they are desperite for money.

I have a brief FYI for everybody. I stopped in last Saturday evening. The place was full, but not packed like I would expect for a Saturday. Anyway, they now charge a cover of $3 after 9pm on Friday and Saturday. You can have your hand stamped, and come and go as you please for the remainder of the evening.

Also, the minimum price of a lap dance is now $30. I didn't think to ask whether this is another Friday/Saturday rule, or the standard minimum. I also didn't think to ask how many songs you get for the $30. Perhaps that aspect is still negotiable, as it was when the minimum was $20.

There were some real cuties (new to me) but the 2006 prices dampened my enthusiasm. Time marches on, as does inflation.

A visit on a recent Saturday confirms all the above information. Except the experiment of charging $30 for lap dances did not last. It is the same old $20/30/40. Perhaps I misunderstood on that previous visit.

This time I popped in around a 7:30 on a Saturday and the place was dead. I returned at 9:30, the $3 cover was in effect, and the place was still pretty dead. Maybe a dozen guys in the place, about half of which were sitting ring-side. And the dancers were definitely from the "B Team".

I decided to hang for a while and my patience was rewarded. Starting around 10:30 the "A Team" arrived and a series of super hotties took to the stage. Seriously, these chicas could be bikini models. Most were strutting around sin ropa early in their set and were giving generous (time) and liberal (nasty) action for the $1 stage-side tips.

I am not the current maven of Revo strip clubs, but I cannot imagine better looking dancers than the half-dozen or so superstars at P&B. This remains my default strip joint.

I am not familiar with the current crew that works Sunday-Thursday. As I said, the B Team from Saturday are not in the same league as the first team.

The women that try to talk you into buying a lap dance are nothing to look at (not that their job description includes beauty). But the meseras are pretty cute nowadays. And yes, the houndogs out on Revo still want to walk you all the way into the club and sell you the first drink ( the tip is their sole income I suspect).

I have not set foot in here since the imposition of a cover charge.

Nice encouraging report Bosco. As you know, I had many excellent times in this club since I first started visiting TJ. My last couple of visits - at least 6-12 months ago or more, I just didn't see any new talent. A couple of holdover hotties and everybody else was Tier 2 & 3, plus even though almost all the girls stripped down all the way, the place had lost the feeling of nasty spontaneity - that anything could happen at any time - seemed like a much more controlled environment like a U.S. strip club. Anyhow, looks like it may be worth a new look.

Btw, I have rarely been turned down for privados at 2 for $20 even during the busiest weekend nights and with the hottest chicas in the joint.

I left a couple amigos in CC on a recent Saturday night a little after 2:00 a.m. Before heading to the border I took a detour to P&B. I hadn't been there in a while and wanted to evaluate the current dancing talent, yada, yada, yada.

It is 2:15 a.m. on a weekend night, and the place is morguesque. Perhaps a dozen men, one literally sleeping in a booth. I stayed long enough to watch three consecutive dancers (4-6 on the 10-point scale) do a standard three-song set without removing a significant stitch of ropa. They didn't take their tops off!!!

It may be time to give up on this place.

Bosco

Was there last Saturday and the place was packed with chicas. And only chicas around 14 of them. Close to a dozen clients too. Not to bad considering the rest of the clubs had about a dozen girls total in all of them.
