She was my favorita for 3 1/2 years before I became spoiled by the zona. I haven't been to see her since March but recently had been thinking about her and was actually planning on trying to find her this week. I'll let you know what I find out.

There was a period of time where this club was 90% women and the TV's had all but moved out of town. Not so anymore. Was in there a couple weeks ago and the most manly men on this planet were there. There wasn't even a questionable one in sight. Their big manly voices and nasty faces were hideous. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes, and I did check every one out first. Another disappointment.

Visited Bambis for the first time tonite. I had a great time with a very passable TS - Jennifer. I was a bit spooked walking to the hotel around the corner. it was 40 for her, and 15 for the room. Speaking of Bambi's, drove past there yesterday and noticed a bright orange sign on the door. Have they been shut down and if so does anyone know why? I've never set foot in there but am curious as to what may have happened?

This last weekend in Ensenada I encountered a former manager of Bambi, Sans Souci, and Pussycats (all have the same owner). He's a good guy and a reliable source. He says that neither Bambi nor SS will ever see the light of day again, at least as they were under the previous ownership. That is in all ways a good thing other than the sentimental nostalgia value they represent to the history of Baja red lights. The closures are the consequence of not paying TAXES, rent, TAXES, employee salaries and TAXES. It's over - just as it is for their companion historical club Unicornio across the street. The spaces are available for new owners to rent. I would expect we will see some new extremely shitty SCs taking their place in time - though not as shitty as Bambi and SS had become in the 21st Century.

Thanks Erip. Bambi's has some historical significance to me, and I use to take all my American buddies there after a wild night in the Zona Norte. I was always able to negotiate the beers down to $2 with the doorman and then we'd kick back and have some laughs. It's just a place that has always been open for me since I've been coming to TJ for the past 10 years. Thank you for the closure. I guess that "Eclipse" nightclub will probably be the new Bambi's with better decor. It's just too bad you have to climb seven flights of stairs to get there!
