I first started going to Tijuana last September. This will be my first trip report.

Please be kind to me as I can't paint a picture in my story like Kendricks or have Bull_Winkle's writing skills. I don't even have Milkman's silly humor or Ootie's one liner and Ben's many Pies to make a story much more appealing.

This will just be a straightforward, narrative, no non-sense trip report.

There are many name dropping in my post but I left out a few of the main characters to protect the innocent (Me).

The trip started out great as my TJ trip buddy was able to go 2 hours ahead of schedule. The drive down the I-5 was met with some unusual summer mist. Atleast that made the weather a little cooler than it has been. I wasn't surprise because I had shorts and sandals on instead of the usual slacks and dressed shoes.

Maybe knowing that I was about to break-up with favorita numero uno and the extremely darken sky at only 7:30pm made my stomach a little queasy.

Anyway, we got to the border at just before 9pm. The parking lot at the border across the street from the Jack in the Box was almost full. Took a taxi and got to Cascadas Hotel in no time flat. The front desk attendant of Hotel Cascadas told us the only remaining rooms were on the second floor. I knew those rooms sucked and told him I wanted to check out the room first.

We had to walked across the third floor to the other side and checked out the rooms on the second floor. On the way there I'd noticed many available rooms because all the doors were swung open and the rooms showed no sign of inhabitant.

I turned down the choices of room they gave me and went to the front desk on the "alley" side. Was told nothing was available eventhough I brought up about the third floor showing many vacancies. They said those rooms were for the half hour and one hour occupancy.

I told the front desk guy that I am a weekly regular guest and I should get a room on the third floor and give the room on the second floor to the short time service. That's when the manager intervened and said... "take it or leave it". I was flabagasted at this type of customer service from the manager.
 
Curiousone and I had this type of resistant at the last Fiesta trying to check into Cascasdas. 

I knew just about everyone in the hotel and they all knew my name but I never had to deal with the big boss before and this particular manager was being a jerk. Anyway, I didn't budge and kept persistent on a better room. Most of the hotel helpers were always very courteous in the past and always bend over backward to help me with just about anything. Letting me know if any of my favorita streetgirls was working as soon as they saw me and such. Then one of the helper suggested the jacuzzi room. I decided to check it out.

Man, this is one sweet set-up. Regular rooms are $31 and the jacuzzi rooms are $67 for the night. The jacuzzi, wash-up area and bathroom alone are almost the same size as those normal rooms. The bed was a king-size instead of a queen. The pillows, sheets and comforter all seemed new. Since the jacuzzi rooms probably don't get used as much as the regular rooms plus the many lights.
