Saturday I am sitting with my ex-novia and she explains that she has dumped her new novio. She wants to know when I am taking her to La Paz as I promised 3 months ago. I told her we are just friends now and earlier promises don't mean anything. Then a monger who I will not identify here comes up and says to her that she is posted all over the internet. No Specifics. After he leaves, she asked me not to say anything about her to my friends or other chicas about us being amigos especial again. No problem.

That night I was sitting with my current favorita at the same bar having what I thought was our normal good time when she started crying. Not just a few tears but a completely wet face. After asking three times what was wrong, she told me that my ex told her that we were back together and she wasn't mi amiga especial any longer. My ex is a bitch!

Got the crying stopped and went to CC to fetch the cantinero's girlfriend. When I get there she is with a friend that wants to join us for drinking and dancing. I agree so the four of us go off to have a great time at a couple of local bars. It is so nice to pay $5.00 for a round of drinks. Especially nice when my guests insist on paying for every other round. After the one couple left, I was with my new friend and we went to another bar. I asked what she wanted to do and she said can we go to your hotel. Hell yes!

After much kissing, hugging and sex we were laying there cuddling and she started to bawl. I don't mean gentle tears; I mean loud sobbing. I asked her what was wrong. She said that her friend told her not to have sex with me because I would never see her again because the friend's sister was coming back to TJ and when she is there I don't see anyone else. Well while the sister is definitely one of my favorites, I always see more that one at a time.

Sooooo, did they both go to the same school? I know neither has any real feelings for me other than for dinero.

Assuming that this conversation took place in passable Spanish, from the chica's perspective this news was equivalent to you hearing from some chica "information about *you* is now available in "O Globo" or "Microchannel S" or some other weird thing. If you don't ask what the heck that is, its likely that it is way too obscure for you to even worry about. Remember the first time that someone mentioned the WWW to you (or hypercards), it probably didn't register as anything significant.

Of course, this doesn't excuse your friend from being an idiot.
