Palacio Azteca is the hotel I used quite often in 2003 for the times with my Novia in Tijuana. I previously tried other hotels, including Camino Royale which was very nice, but overpriced.

Azteca is a very nice, clean hotel, with very decent rates. There are different room types there, my favorite was the Master Suite which includes a nice sitting room. Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Room rates are in the $90 to $130 range, I payed about $110 for the Master Suite. The next level up includes jacuzzi.

Azteca has a very nice restaurant (buffet or menu) in the morning and night. Nice pool close to the restaurant. There also is a small but quiet and cozy bar which is a nice place to have a few drinks and talk. So many other bars have loud music, here it is comfortable and easy for talking.

Very little parking space, but valet parking is available and I had no problems ever with their service.

To get to the hotel, take Revolution South, it becomes Aqua Caliente after Avenida 10. Turn right on Blvd. Cuauhtemoc Sur, pass the hotel and turn left at the next street, then left again on Blvd. Cuauhtemoc Norte. Entrance is on the left side on this one-way street.
