The Super 8 motel is located on 9th and constitution.
The room was $37 and a $5 key deposit.
This place is not bad if you’re looking for a fairly cheap room away from the zona. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The furnishings and carpet are old and worn but they just put brand new mattresses in all of the rooms. The bathrooms are a little small but they are clean (I didn’t see a single bug in 6 days staying there) and have good showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. They have decent televisions with cable and a remote control (but it is bolted to the bedside table).
Noise is not a problem but you may want to get a room away from the street. My room was on the end right on Ave. Constitution and the traffic was a bit loud during the day and early evening. The police and fire station is only a bock away so sometimes you will get fire trucks flying by blowing their horns and sirens. The rooms at the end of the building a quit large and have big balconies looking over the street.
They have several security cameras and a night security guard. They don’t seem to care who you bring back to the room. The late night guy only stopped me going in once to confirm that I was a guest after that they all knew I was staying there so just passed and said hola.

That place is ok, however the carpeting (at least last time I stayed there) is NASTY. I would not recommend walking on it barefoot, it starts feeling like you have a layer of crap on your feet pretty quickly. You may want to bring some Tinactin.

Noise is a problem on the weekend when that swapmeet is open.
