One must always wonder why these putas are shaved.
Is it because they want to be shaved?
Or, is it because something (lice bugs) was growing in their pubic region and shaving was part of the cure?

I have had several working girls (not just TJ street girls) tell me they shave to avoid getting crabs. With short or shave hairs it is difficult for crabs to make a home and easier to get rid of them if they do show up.
