Lord Black is now open on Ave. Revolution at about 10th street on the same side as Sanborns and next to a 24hr Grocery Store. The place looks large from the outside. Let me know if anyone has had the chance to vist. I am interested in the quality. I did not have the opportunity to visit on my last trip. I believe this is the same group that has clubs in Cabo and LaPaz.

I've been going to the Lord Black in Nogales lately. It is kinda lame compared to ZN. Good looking chicks, but much less bang for the buck.

Went to Lord Black's on Monday night. I'm not the best reporter for LB, 'cause I'm really not into the men's club/strip scene that much and I've never been to LB's other clubs in different cities. But I can describe what I saw, and at this early date, any information is probably better than none.

LB is located between Ninth and Tenth streets on Revolucion. It's one block south of the big Sanborn's, on the same side of the street, across from Vittorio's Italian restaurant. The door man was very solicitous and buzzed me through the locked door to the Inner Sanctum Sanctorum. There was no cover (again, YMMV on other nights; I didn't ask about weekends).

Inside is a large, carpeted room with a central, elevated dance stage. There is seating around the stage, padded benches with tables along the walls, or free-standing tables, each with four, plush chairs. In fact, all of the seating is extremely comfortable and well-upholstered. Indeed, the entire joint is well-appointed and seeks to create the image of casual sophistication for men. I would rate the physical facility several cuts above Madonna's or Caesar's or Peanuts & Beer (haven't been to Bolero).

All the authority figures in the bar wore suits, adding to the image of an up-scale operation. I got inundated with service from a host of waiters, who gave me a clean ash tray every time I flicked my cigar. The manager came by several times, introduced himself, told me I should consider this "my home" now, and was really very congenial. They seemed to have a full bar, and the mixed drink I ordered cost $3, I believe.

Since this was a Monday night, and they've only been open a short time, it wasn't very active. Three guys were sitting around the stage, and a couple of other guys were scattered throughout the bar. A couple of TV monitors overhead were showing ESPN or some other sports news channel, and a big screen TV on the back wall with guys snowboarding.

The music was kind of Hong Kong Club-style strip music (mostly American rock). The ladies were all tall, slender, beautiful, and dark-haired. Didn't see anyone below a 7. I have no quarrel with the quality of LB's female talent.

One beauty did walk up and sit down in my lap. Immediately, a waiter asked if I wanted to buy her a drink. I passed, and several other times waiters came over and asked if I wanted a lady. They did not hassle me, they just seemed to want to make sure I was being taken care of. I saw some chicas doing table dances with other customers, but there was no obvious contact and it looked pretty tame. Even the tips for the stage dancers were strictly "on the hip" in the thong. No real hanky panky to speak of. I could have brought Jerry Fallwell with me and he would not even have blushed.

I stayed for a few dances and finished my drink and my cigar, and then left. So I can't really tell you about any "other" services that may or may not be available and either weren't offered or weren't visible. I'll leave that to future scribes.

My overall impression of LB is that it's a nice facility that is trying hard to cultivate customers, but it is a little unclear at this early stage whether, with all the other "hard" sex opportunities within a few blocks, it will be able to establish a viable commercial niche without offering something more than what I saw.

Unless I read from future posters that there is real raunch to be had behind closed doors at a reasonable price, I probably won't bother to walk up there just to have a drink and watch NHL players punch each other out or guys do 360s on snowboards. As always, just my two cents' worth.

There are ten chicas working right now in the 6.5 to 8.0 range, none with a tummy. Similar to Boleros but with no hustling. Chica drink costs $10. I was offered privados for $20, $40, $60, since I am too shy did not ask what it included. Private rooms in second floor must be very small. I do like the stage which is not set too high and chairs are all leather and comfortable. Unless sex is offered, probably not worth the effort as a good 15 mn walk from ZN.
Maybe Erip or Xenono can enquire about extras.

I made my first visit to TJs new LB on Wednesday night and circumstances allowed me to find a bit more excitement than Matiz enjoyed on Monday, but his report tells the story and assigns the proper niche to this interesting addition to the TJ scene.

I was fortunate to arrive at the club on the heels of a pair of San Francisco gringas (seemingly lesbian or bi-sexual), who were fried to a crisp even though it was only 9:15. On entry, the 3 of us were frisked at the door and the ladies made the most of it squealing with feigned delight as the even happier doorman patted them down. The hottie of the pair (from the waist up anyway) used this door delay as an opportunity to get friendly in a flash. She asked me where I was from...when I said L.A. she figured that answer called for her to plant a few sloppy drunk kisses on my face. Lately, I'm starting to realize how friendly some of these tourista gringas can become when they've got a gut full of spirits....getting slutty even with guys who are as old as their dads.

Once inside, none of the the LB girls were onstage and the pretty San Franciscana sprinted right for the stage and strips to her panties to great encouragement from the DJ and the bemusement of customers and assembled LB chicas. Immediately after her dance, the gringas disappeared, presumably to the ladies room to chuck their tacos. They didn't emerge for a half hour, taking a seat at the stage - the cute gratuitous smooching flasher appearing quite dazed.

It has only been three weeks since I visited Nogales, including the jointly owned Placers and Lord Black in that city. In Placers, I enjoyed a 2 for 1 private dance with a super hottie named Estrella...she gave it all to me for $30, plus the $20 to the house for the two 6 minute dances. A few minutes after entering LB on Wednesday, I've got a beauty from the LB Cabo branch sitting on my lap making her move when I look to my right...and there is none other than Estrella from Nogales on the lap of another customer. We both reacted with shocked delight...She jumped off her customer and ran over to share and enjoy this "small world" moment.

So that is what you are going to find at LB right now....as expected they have stocked the club for its opening weeks with some of their best talent from other locations - all the chicas I met were from Cabo, Nogales, Culican (sp?). Athos and I are zona amigos, but we acknowledge that his chica rating scale is far more severe and unforgiving than mine. To my eyes, these girls were all in the premium to choice range - 7-9.

I predicted a week ago that unlike its sister clubs in the other cities, that LB TJ would be a non-sex operation...at least not overtly so. That is the case. I didn't get any private dances but I got the lowdown from the club hosts and dancers. Essentially the private dances are taken from the same book as the other upscale stripclubs in TJ like Madonnas. $20 will get you one song, hands off your chica; $40 one song full contact; $60 two songs full contact. The host said the cops are all over them and do not want this club to operate as they do in Nogales...so officially, nothing more than hardcore lapdances are available in the private booths. Yes, the songs are lengthy and intended to allow the dancers to spend some time onstage, so for the well heeled, hardcore lap dance enthusiast, this will be another happy way to unload some of the cash weighing down your wallet. But for the hardcore putañero, this ain't the ticket.

I'm a variety hound and I welcome the addition of this club. It's really nice and comfortable, great hosts and service, gorgeous friendly babes to gawk at and keep company with. Drink hustle was minimal and the chicas hung around endlessly for the price of one $10 chica drink. They remained on my lap or at my side cheerfully even when I declined buying more drinks. Of course the club is trying to put its best foot forward right now and things may change once a permanent TJ staff is in place and the crowds are larger.

Purely in the interest of science, I laid down $40 for a private dance at this place, I considered it a small price to pay for valuable information benefitting the brotherhood of the mongers. Esteban and I went into LBs at about 10pm last night (Friday 2/23), there was no cover. The girl's name was Susana or something like that. She was pretty dang hot, and Esteban helped talk me into it. The private dance was topless (but not bottomless), and full contact. Nice, if you don't know that the ZN exists. 10 bucks a minute is too much, although I have had a few ZN sessions in my time that were worse than this private dance. Maybe $20 would have been reasonable. The worst thing about it is that I had to go back to AB afterwards to release this tension I paid $40 for. Anyways, I would have to agree with the other posts here, not worth it if you're a Zona regular. I did ask one of the waiters on the way out if any of the girls left the bar, and he responded with a resounding 'no.' Too bad, I would have probably forked over $80 to do this chick.

I have not been to LB, but in my times at Madonnas I always bought the $20 dances and every single girl let me touch her. I think they just hope for suckers to agree to pay $40 and realize that they have to put out even if you "only" pay $20.

Lord Black's is apparently evenings only, at least during the week. It was closed Friday mid-afternoon, and they said they opened at 6 PM. The adjacent parking lot is supposedly free for Lord Black's clientes. It's probably smart to be closed afternoons, as I can't imagine they get much stumble in traffic like most of the Rev. clubs depend on.

As far as the rest of Revolucion Friday... We hit Pussycats and the former Rio Rita (now Club 69) and Mike's (only a pink team bar at night, supposedly) Disco, and I was bored out of my tiny mind. The chicas weren't half bad looking, but they all looked a little shell shocked -- like working in these bars was their version of death row. Of course, the fine, upstanding and OH-so-helpful barkers in the street were eager to make sure that we had an immensely good time -- with their help, of course.

BTW, Mike's smelled quite strongly of urine. The rumor sprung up that they would be better off keeping the donkey outside! I predict an inquiry about donkey shows will be Explorer's next item of inane curiosity.

Lord Black has begun to advertise en el Mexicano. According to the ad their 'horario' will be from 4:00 P.M. to 3:00 AM. Wed through Saturday the cover is $6. Tues and Wed 2 for 1 drinks until 9:00 PM. Free parking.

I was there last night. It pretty much sucks. Women are not that great and the management is not good. The parking is gratis only if you get a pass to park. If you make the mistake of taking a ticket as you enter, you are out of luck and the management will not do anything. I will not return as this occurred to me! Just seems like another hustle spot.

Well, in their defense, there is a big sign before the ticket thingy/booth that says not to take a ticket if you are going to the bar. Not that I recommend going there or anything. I do, however, recommend you go to Tacos El Gordo, only 1 block west of LB on Constitucion. Yum.

The sign is in spanish and the attendant was not available. After spending about $100 in the club, I expected free parking after asking for it, despite taking a ticket. Their failure to do anything made certain that I will not return again and was representative of poor management. Poor management means a rip off sooner or later.

The Revolution strip clubs are always an interesting change from the Zona. A completely different vibe. Not better, just different. A few nights ago, Redongdo and I decided to venture out, once again, to experience the Revolution talent pool first hand. Since Lord Blacks was the farthest Revo club from the Zona, we decided to start there and work our way back to the promised land of Coahuila. We were greeted at the front door by a very pleasant young man, dressed in a suit. He informed us that there was indeed a cover charge of $6.00. After trying for several minutes to avoid the cover, he offered us 2 x 1 beers for the night once inside. Things were looking better now, and after a very ineffective pat down, in we went. Matiz has already done a nice job of describing the interior. I will say that it is the nicest strip club I have seen in TJ. Nicer inside even than Modonas or Boleros, the two former most "upscale" strip clubs in town. As far as decor and amenities, I would say it compares favorably with the Spearmint Rhino clubs I have been in. The manager and what appeared to be floaters were all nicely dressed and very welcoming and helpful. Absolutely no feeling of the hustle that usually accompanies a visit to any Revo strip club. But...when the waiter brought us our drinks there were only two. What happened to the two for one? We were told that ended at 9:00 p.m. It was now 9:17. To the club's credit, they did provide us with our two for one beers for the first round and were very apologetic. No problem, we weren't planning on spending that much time there anyway. Now for the important stuff. There were probably at least 10 chicas in attendance that night. All were very attractive. Most I would say in the 8 - 9 range. IMHO none were below a 7. Most of the girls were from the other Lord Black clubs but we met two that were from TJ. The stage work was surprisingly good. In fact, one dancer performed some quite impressive pole work. Certainly the best stage work, by US standards, I have ever seen in TJ. We were joined by a couple of ladies and of course were asked to buy them drinks ($10). We declined, preferring instead to just watch the goings on in the club undisturbed. It appears that the private lap dance area is in a curtained room to the side of the club. They offer $10 table dances (no touching) out on the floor with the previously reported $20, $40, and $60 private dances in the back. At one point, one of the girls on Redongdo's lap offered us all night sessions with her and her friend, after work, for $200, apparently at their hotel. An intriguing idea but this night was more of a scouting mission. But, it does appear that some outcall is available. After we declined their offer another chica came over and plopped herself down. I think this is when Redongdo fell in love.....well at least in intense lust... well at least in intense lust with her breasts. In fact, for several minutes, all he could say was "OH MY GOD!!" A couple of minutes later, his vision of loveliness took the stage and he followed, dollar bills in hand. I stayed at the table with the two girls from TJ. During her dance, he was in either one of two modes; transfixed on her breasts on stage or turning around to me yelling "OH MY GOD!!" At this point we decided we better leave before he spent more than the price of a Zona session for 6 minutes of groping in the back room. When we left the club, the doorman who had "confused" the 2 x 1 beer offer bid us farewell and handed us about 10 free admission passes. All in all, a very nice club and a good warmup for the Zona.

Have to disagree, I think Bolero is the best by far. LB is cheesey inside with the little statues around. The women are much better at Bolero, in fact two of the weaker women from Bolero are at LB. They couldn't make any money at Bolero because of the competition. I also prefer Dos Equis and Tecate over Corona, another negative for LB in my opinion. I will continue my "warm up" at Bolero. I did try LB, pero no mas! By the way, most of the dancers at the various clubs will do an overnight, but you have to wait til their shift ends. That is often too late for me, but I have made an exception or two from Madonas.

I've never been to Bolero's so I can't compare the two but I had a good time at LB. Ronin and I first met a few months ago in front of Tropical as we dined on Abrahams trademark cheeseburgers (BTW his cart is now located by La Tropa)and at that time though he was a vet in the Zona hadn't explored the Revolucion and was curious about some of the clubs he had read about from the boards. Actually he was curious about Isis and Unicornio but once I got him in there he said "Why are all those guys posting about this place?" I tried to warn him. Anyway our journey to Lord Blacks was another course in Redongdo's Revolucion...the stuff that happened after we left LB's that night that will go down in history...when I have time or Ronin feels up to it I think a post on Crime in TJ or Revolucion Ripoffs is in order. But I digest (burp) errr..digress.

We wandered out to Lord Blacks, I believe at just after 9pm last Wednesday. The doorman said 6 bucks to get in and we were about to say adios when he hit us with 2-1 beers...so waddafuck...in we went.

Nice decor, real comfortable and a nice change of pace from the Zona. We grabbed a table, placed our orders (I prefer Dos Equis myself..oh well) and the waiter comes with two beers instead of four. Now part of the lessons I've been teaching young Ronin is how to bargain with Revolucion clubs...I've done well in this area..even impressing ReyTJ aka Senor Fluent. So Ronin takes a shot at telling the waiter the guy outside said two for one. He pays the waiter who immediately splits to get the change, I ask Ronin what gives with the beers and he says it's after 9pm and we miss out. HAH! They don't know who they're dealing with (fateful words for two of the clubs we hit afterwards...post to come)so when the waiter comes back with the change I wave him over and tell him...well to be honest with you I can't remember what I told him...but we got our promised beers.

The girls were great, I'd say they ranged from the 6.5-9 range. With the lower rated girls still very nice...no cellulite, tight bodies and no C-scar. The first one that plopped on my lap was a cutie and hit me up for a drink and private dances...rates already posted so I won't repeat... but I couldn't see paying that much. I asked her about leaving the club and she actually gave me her hotel room #....and offered herself and her amiga to me and Ronin for a combined 400 bucks after she got off work. I countered with something like 40 bucks and she laughed and got up, I asked her if I should still come around at closing time and she gave me the TJ "maybe" as in "yeah right". Well at least she didn't say no. It probably would have been a great party but for two hundred bucks I could have the top girls at CC four times over.

The second chica who plopped herself down on my lap was unbelievable...at least IMNSHO. As Ronin said I was totally mesmerized and kept looking over at him and saying "My Gawd!". After she got on stage and allowed me to give her every single I had in my pocket Ronin saved my life (at least sixty bucks of it) and got me out of there.

I like the place, nice change from the Zona...I can see popping in on the rare occasion.

Go on a Thurs to Sat after 10pm. LB can't come close. LB here is the same rip off as in Cabo, too bad! Bolero is much nicer and beautiful babes! IMHO

You need to spend a little time getting to know them before asking them if they want to go. Though the other evening one quickly wanted me to take her on a vacation and she promised mucho sexo. For an evening out the charge will be about $200, though one at Bolero was available for $100. These are allnighters at your room when they get off their shift, which can be from 3am to 4am. Generally I have told them my room and where I was staying, several times at Villa Zaragoza, otherwise Pueblo Amigo. Sometime ago, many did not go, it seems most do now.

There has been one hot girl at Boleros that hints to me about going back to my room at Pueblo Amigo. I always blew it off because I didn't think these girls go to the hotels. So what days they go? Just on weekdays when it is slower. Did they stay for just an hour or the whole night?

It has been weekdays for me. They have all stayed for the whole night, that means leaving as early as 8 or until noon. If you want to be subtle and they ask for a private dance, tell them you are only interested in a private at your hotel room. Many will feel you out, asking you whether you are staying in TJ for the night or going back across the border. If you are staying for the night then they know that they have the potential for an overnight and income. You have to remember that most of these girls come from other areas in Mexico where all the girls in the strip clubs do the out call. This is what they have been used to at their other places at work. I think we are used to the US where it is illegal, hence we are less aggressive until you realize that it is ok in Mexico. At different times, some of the girls at Bolero were retired from the Chicago Club. More recently I spoke with a girl from Culican at Bolero who used to work in one of those divey country brothels, where everyone gets drunk and then takes a girl to small rooms in the back. At times in the past the mgt frowned on fraterniztion after hours, now it seems like no big deal. Naturally it is the option of the girls what they do. Next time let your friend know that you are "staying in TJ" and see if she is interested in staying with you. Often they will ask for $300/400, but will go to $200. Bolero as you know is more mellow and upscale than Madonas, so the approach should be more mellow and flirting in nature. I think Madonas is Rev Ave mode now, and one can be more direct. Remember, you have to wait til the end of the shift. Once I set up a meeting with a girl I was psyched on at Madonas, she was supposed to meet me at my room after 4am. I figured she wouldn't show or did not want to take that chance. So off to ZN I went and hooked up with 2 or 3 then, I don't recall the exact number. I returned to my room at about 4am and she was next door chatting with the people in the next room waiting for me. She had been there for about an hour. I had a good time and was glad she came over. I appreciate the response. I thought that it might be necessary to drop some serious money in the club before you could find out if the girl would go to the hotel. I'm not much into lap dancing, I'd much rather save my money for the real thing in a private, safe place. Maybe I just asked th wrong ladies, or maybe things have changed. I haven't been to T.J. since Thanksgiving.

They wanted $6 cover on a slow Sunday night. Screw this, I didn't even go in. Bolero and Madonnas were both 2for1 beers and no cover. Selection at Madonnas was excellent on Sunday.

I went on sat night. Selection was a bit disappointing but solid with a median in looks 8.0. Range was 6.0 to 9.0, only one very beautiful one and older at that. When i came back to AB saw the end of Africa number and that was all I needed. LB is OK to unwind and once in a while thing imho.

It seems the quality doesn't really pick up until the 10pm crew arrives. They do get pretty aggressive,in a good way, for a strip club. I have been to the La Paz club, which is awesome, where you will get a least a hand job in the private booths.

Checked out this place again, refused to pay the cover on a Thursday night and got admitted without paying. They wanted $6, I told them I go to Madonas where there is no cover (true) and they conceded. Selection was okay, but not as good as Madonas. I don't buy laps in TJ, and the hustle was a little more than at Madonas but overall not too bad. I stayed until 10.30, but the nightshift did not seem much better at that time. Sum: I'll stick to Madonas.

Checked this place out, since Madonas is so slow. LB seems to get a little more business. Ask the bathroom attandent, he has free passes. I took 10 and wont have to pay the cover again.

East side on Revolution btw 8th and 9th. Cover $6, after 9, often waived if business is slow. Once inside you can pick up coupons for free return visits. They often have beer specials, asks the waiter for it. The club place is large, has comfortable seats and is very clean. As you enter, a round center stage is in the middle of the large club. Lighting is good and the interior design is as close to a place like 4Play as you can find in TJ. Surrounding the stage are small uncomfortable chairs, but the rest of the club has very nice lounge chairs. The best spot is towards the right as you enter; this gives you a view of the stage and the large screen TV at the same time. They have all Lakers games and always accommodate wishes to switch channels if you prefer hockey over hoops. The bathroom is towards the left far end and the private area is in a separate room towards the mid left.
Lord Black is the best place for your first trip to a TJ strip club. The hustle factor is lower than in most US clubs. The private dance area is very clean and has the best lap capabilities in TJ. Table dances $10, private $20 – 60. Like over clubs in TJ, they frequently offer “flash” dances when the dancers give free table dances. These are good to check out the girls dancing qualities. A lot of Mexican dancers may be hot with great personalities, but sometimes fail to give good lap dances. Dancers push hard to have you buy a $40 or $60 dance, but I always get the $20. Before 9 pm all private dances are 2for1, but the talent level is rather low in the early hours. After 9 the club runs 2for1 specials and, in contrast to Madona's, the songs are not cut. Mileage is comparable to the Jet Strip and SRI. As always in TJ extras are possible, but this is not the place there this is easily available.
Summary: Clean, large. Good dancers at night and weekends only, good club for the first visit in TJ.

Update: Private dances 2for1 all night, every 10 to 20 minutes, but they often enforce a time limit. After 8 minutes the bouncer will hit against the walls of the lap booth even if the second song is still running and make the dancer stop dancing. This is truely bizarr, since it doesn't even allow the dancer to sell you another song.
This policy is often forgotten and like a lot of recent scams in TJ more bizarr than resonable.

Almost every cabbie has asked, "Have you heard about Lord Blacks?" or "Did you know the girls are prettier at LB? They are cleaner than Adelita's." It seems the cabbies are in on the hustle too.

I think the cabbies get a payout for every 5-10 gringo customers they bring to LB, much like the massage parlors give them a free massage after 10 customers. I would say 90% of time I tell them EXACTLY WHERE(AB) I want to go, and yet they will always say "hey mun, I know where there are prettier girls and will give you a great massage, AB is no good". I know the other strip clubs like Madonna and Bolero pay them something too. Some of the pharmacies will give them 20% off their next meds, for every customer they bring.

Lerkher, I thought the same after I first discovered TJ and couldn't understand guys who still spent money on laps. However, over the last months I have often gotten burned out in the Zona. A good tease is something not to be undervalued. Yes, you can fuck any SG for 20-30 minutes and pay as little as for a 2for1 lap dance. But this can get old, especially since there are few hot SG and all are basically from the same ethnic background. I agree with Robertx. Personally, it has got to be something more than just sticking my dick in a hole to get excited. Lerkher, last night I took 4 friends visiting me here in SD to TJ. For three of them it was their first time. We hit Bolero, Madonnas, Lord Black, AB, and CC (in that order) before watching the sun rise during breakfast at Dennys off I-5. We each fucked various girls in AB and CC (each went up two times). I would not argue against one or the other. SC’s have women, as does the Zona. Wherever one finds better entertainment depends so much on ones own set of mind. I can understand Maverick's buddies. I had nights where the "warm-up" lap dance at LB or Madonas was better than the session in la Zona. Robertx...I agree, they are different things, and to say that the SC scene on Rev is set up for the naive tourists is oversimplifying.
