Perhaps the closest 'restaurant' to the border, and also one of the best in TJ. Sorry, anti-tourist trap people, but it's easily among the best reasonably priced food in town, and there are plenty of decently hot Mex-am chicas to be ogled while eating. The drinks are also first-class, and you can do a LOT worse (see California buf-fat reviews) than spending 20 bucks GORGING on food and getting a buzz going than this place.
Many thanks to TJ PHOENIX for his hospitality in this place in days gone by.

First, you're welcome!
Second, I agree on all counts on this place...including all of the "tourist trappings"! I have walked over many times from the PA, hungover, and gorged on food somewhere between US-Mexican and Mexican and drank many Coronitas or margies. At night, the place is crawling with chicas either dining or getting ready to head upstairs to shake their thangs.
Remember the night we were all fixated on a senorita when we learned she was a gringa from my neck of the woods?
Oh, Porker, how far we've come since those "days gone by"! Thanks for the memories!

How odd! I just spent my first happy hour in that same bar three days earlier. I heard a live band that was so hot I had to go in and see who was playing.
And the place was full of chicas, dancing in the aisles.
A cover charge of $7 and the waiter seated me at a table and brought me four beers....and munchies to boot.....what a deal!
