Monaco Bar
Another of the local ficha bars along Callejon Coahuilla between Hacienda on the corner of Constitution and La Valentina in the center of the alley.
This place is either empty or crowded. Girls rate 3 to 7. The chicas like to dance. For some reason everyone wants to talk with me when I am in this bar. Since they do not speak english and I do not speak spanish, it makes for an interesting conversation. I actually met one nice girl in this place - pure accident I am sure and she wanted to go to the room. I did not see any of the other girls going to any rooms though so I suspect that she just wondered in by accident. I have not seen her since.

When and why did this place get shut down? They had yellow tape on the front and it looked like it was closed for good. Same with Odissea 2001 around the corner

I wonder if it related to the shutdown of El Farasco(sp) and Rio Verde a couple days ago?

According to Frontera, Monaco was closed for afterhours alcohol sales. They could have reopened immediately upon payment of a larger fine.

Election time. How do all of these bars -like the Monaco-stay in business? There a finite number of dollars coming into the quad every 24 hour period. Obviously way too many bars exist for # of clients. I`m sure you`ve all gone into bars, day or nite, and they are really deserted. Is profit margin a different concept down there?

By the way, "the girls here rate from 3 to 7"? Darn, that`s gotta be a little tough on business right there. Least there were no sightings of a 2 or 1/2...cuz that`s really going to take away from enjoying your favorite beverage. Are there any bars in the quad that have a LOWER girl rating than the Monaco? Gosh, I hope not, but if there is- I want to check it out first thing. NO, the Kinkle, Sansui, and Noa Noa don`t qualify. Thanks.
