Miami had a pretty decent floorshow this past Friday afternoon with 6+ chicas dancing. They were young, pretty, and in a lot better shape than the crowd I was used to seeing in that bar over the last year, as if some major emphasis had been placed in actually getting the best and the brightest looking chicas in that bar rather than at Tropical, which has gone downhill of late.

For the 6:00 set each girl got one song which was a welcome change from most Zona floorshows as the chicas got topless tout de suite. A dollar tip induced a couple of the chicas to hop on laps (or faces) for some full-on grinding action. The 9:00 show was a little more conventional in format, giving fewer chicas more songs, but the two best from the afternoon show were given star treatment and responded with pretty impressive energy. I didn't catch all the names, but one of the chicas that impressed me was called Betty, I believe. The entire floorshow was conducted to the American strip anthems that the old HK was known for. In addition to the dancers, there were easily 35+ chicas in the bar at 6:30 on a Friday afternoon, 1/3 of whom would have been above the Adelitas curve for the same day/time. If you haven't been to Miami in awhile, you might wanna sheck it out.

I have a tipping policy where I only tip when I initiate the contact. If I initiate contact I give 1 dollar tip. If I don't initiate it then I don't give a tip. I get down there probably 1 -2 times a week and move between all of the bars. I will have to admit it did take a long time before they were conditioned at Rio Rita's. I went to the Miami Club a few weeka ago and really like this place. It's more of a dance club than a fuck club and that's ok with me. I tipped every chick a buck and avoided buying drinks for anyone. I danced my ass off, had a good time, and then hit the streets and AH for some main action. It's a nice break from the other places.

The combo between HK and Miami is very good. I like the music at HK and if there are not enough girls in HK then you can go over to Miami to pick one up. Miami has low mileage chicas and hence when they do get in the room they get pretty excited. I went with one from Sinoloa, she had just arrived. Can't remember her name, but she was outstanding. GFE.

Miami and HK are seperated by a thin partition only. If you sit close to this you can hear the music from the other bar. This leads to increased noise since both DJ's are fighting about who can blast into the other bar. I liked the setup, but noise level is the highest in the ZN and makes talking to the chicas almost impossible. If Miami has a banda and the dancer at HK dances to a slow song you can hear the banda which is pretty pathetic.

Miami Bar has its 13th anniversary party on Wed and it was packed. They had a Mariachi Band that added to the festivity. It was a fun event, tons of chicas and free gifts for all.

Yeah, the noise level at HK when the live 15 piece band is playing on the other side of the room divider is positively toxic. And as RX said, when they try and play a ballad at HK, it cannot be heard above the Miami musica. Don't even think about trying to carry on a conversation in HK under these conditions. Hey, I'm an aged rock n' roller who occasionally still plugs in a Les Paul at home and pounds out retro metal - I also like the format of the new HK as a break from the same old same old in the zona...but they gotta figure out a way to stop my ears from bleeding when I'm in there. Plus, a big tuba and trumpet sound just doesn't blend into Rammstein very well.

My girl-- who works at HK-- recently went back to work after a couple of weeks absence and learned that Carlos, the legendary Miami/Hk night manager/loverboy, is currently in jail *for employing underage chicas*...

As reported in my post "26 hours in Tijuana" I found Miami very busy on April 6th. The bar had plenty new talent, although the girl I drank with has left home again this Monday. However, the waiters were very pushy. Not as bad as at TB, but twice they tried to sell me a new ficha although the chica had not even finished half of the last one. It's called a culture clash.

Tropical is the same way - an hour of strippers between couples dancing, with a couple of lap dance booths in the back corner.

This is the bars way of trying to cover all the bases, and get some gringo dollars into their bar.

I havent been to HK in about 2 years. From what i remember it used to be just a strip show, talk to the girl and if she wants to, go to the hotel with her type place. Do they now offer booth lap dances? As I remember they only did table dances. Is it now a setup like the Revo strip clubs that actually do real lap dances in curtained areas? HK has changed a LOT in the last 2 years.

It is now smaller, having lost part of it's real estate to Miami. It now has an elevated stage down the middle, like many US strip clubs, with stools on both sides of the runway, and around a circular end.
