I noticed that the New York Club was closed on Saturday - what's up with that? Did they finally figure out that it is stupid to have two virtually identical bars right next to each other?

Yeah, I did, around 4 years ago, it was with one of the dancers. It cost on of those buckets of pony beers. About $30. Kind of like a private dance at Boleros but much longer. 6 beers. She had to dance with the group she was with, and then later she came back up and i ordered another bucket. By then, I was doing whatever wanted short of sex. Not a bad deal depending on the girl. One nice thing about it is you have your own private bathroom up there. The only other person up there is the DJ but hes on the other side.

It is $21 for the room and whatever for the booze. There are two rooms that have a plexiglass view of the floor.
Both have a bathroom (with kleenex), a couch and a table. There is a lot of room to play around on the floor. The noise level is a bit lower than the club. The only drawback is that there are no doors to the rooms and that the waiter will call out from the hallway to ask if everything is all right every once in a while.
Look to drop about $75 for a couple hours of partying.

i was there recently and they quoted me 75 dollars for the space and that included 10 beers for the chica.

some may think this is a high cost but -for me i am just looking for the tease and this is perfect.
but i didnt take him up on the offer becuase i can still get most of what i am looking for in the booths of the other ficha bars for half that price

I've been there in the past week or so and I have found that many of the hottest girls (generally the show girls) will not go to the hotel or private area.
Can anyone confirm this?

You have hit the nail on the head. Manhattan is the King (Queen) of the ficha bars, in which chicas try to make it based on stripping and fichas. Only rarely will they go to the hotel, and you may spend hundreds of dollars on a chica, with many promises about future fun, only to be dumped when your money runs out.

I'm using the second person here to describe what happens to the average client at Manhattan. I realize that the Manhattan chicas go to the hotel with you for free, but that's not the case with the rest of us.

Manhattan was closed last Thursday and Friday due to power outages in the Hotel and bar complex. Those pesky electric bills... They remodeled the wall behind the stage while they were closed awhile back, but the new look is nothing special.

It appears that they are taking turns closing either Manhattan and NY, as New York is now closed and all their chicas and the traveling dance troupe show from Chihuahua (complete w/ the requisite flit dance leader) are now at Manhattan. The dancers looked a lot better the last time around and they appear to be getting fed well in their travels.

There were more people in Manhattan in the last week than I have seen in there in more than a year. Maybe those annoying vehicles traveling the Zona blaring promotions through a loudspeaker do actually work?

Still nobody using the glass shower/dressing room to their advantage. Stupid.

Athos, I still think one of the dancers in the traveling show -- the tall one -- is gorgeous, though she too has added 10 lbs. since the last time in town and seems to be wearing more makeup this time. It would take some serious effort to get any of these chicks to the room, though, I bet. They're not really hookers, just do their dance show and drink for fichas. You'd have a little better luck with the regular Manhattan chicas, but that's hit and miss.

Manhattan: A 15 girl floorshow lineup makes for a loooong evening when every chica dances TWICE. It gets even longer when 2/3 aren't worth watching and the dancers are incredibly bored because there is no one there to watch. As I walked in there was something resembling a thin female hanging quite athletically from the top of the pole on the stage. I approached the stage dollar in hand thinking I knew who the dancer was. I was wrong, and when the dancer approached I saw the most disgusting thing I have seen naked since looking in the mirror recently: some THING with coarse black hair cascading from mid chest to mid-thigh. Hairy pits too, and I don't mean just stubble. Fans of cavewomen rejoice, but I thought I was gonna be sick.

As far as the REST of the lineup goes, there are some fairly attractive chicas here. Montserrat, previously of the apparently closed for the summer New York, looks to have lost some of the extra weight she had packed on. Yurico, most recently of Pollo Bar is now back at Manhattan displaying her pretty face, nice legs and growing tummy rolls. The traveling dance troupe did not perform Thursday night and for all I know may have left town. Seeing Manhattan this dead always makes me wistful for what COULD BE if the gerencia gave 1 shit about making the club the place it could be. It's a simply huge bar w/ A/C, and their glass enclosed dressing room/shower is a voyeur's paradise. Of course I care a lot more than they do…

I went into Manhatten for virtually the first time recently and it was late-night. I was desperately in need of a place where I could sit and chill HASSLE FREE and COMFORTABLE. Of course comfortable can be subjective, but damn if this wasn't PERFECT for my immediate needs.

The room is spacious and comfortable (which is just the opposite of their sister Pollo Bar), nice air conditioning like Porker has said, and a very nice ambience IMO; and did I say COLD BEER?

It's not AB or CC in the puta department, but that's not what I wanted at the time.

Porker, is hassle free accurate? Is the music usually spiked heavily with more familiar American type stuff and occasional bouts of "Follow the leader, leader, leader...."; or, is the music just wide open?

Eunuch, the waiters are not super aggressive there, actually pretty professional and they don't have 500 of them like they do at Miami and Las Chavelas tripping all over each other. If you get a drink and sit at the bar no staff will say a WORD to you unless you initiate the conversation.

Re: getting hassled by chicas, they will definitely hit on you and ask you to buy them a drink if you are there by yourself. They take rejection well, however.

Re: A/C, it's usually on, but not always, and not always going full blast. If you ask them to turn it up they might oblige.

The music is actually selected by the girls since the strip show is continuous (with a very short interlude for dancing where they lower the stage and play Mexican romantic music after all the chicas have danced the first time) and they choose their own music. You'll get three mushy latin ballads in a row then a three song set of Metallica. The music does tend to be in English. I have yet to hear 'Follow the Leader' at Manhattan.

Beers are indeed $3, I think they are charging $4 for mixed drinks these days, $5 for Cazadores, $5 for ficha drinks for the chicas.

They advertise table dances available for $10 and privados for $20. I haven't seen anyone get a table dance there since the last time I saw a chica in the shower there -- well over a year ago. Once upon a time EVERY chica that got paid to dance was expected to do a turn in the shower. Ah, the good ol' days...

About a year ago, the dressing room had a clear wall, so you could see the chicas changing. They covered it up, and I haven't been back since.

When the dressing room was visible (I didn't know they've covered it up), most of the chicas took their stuff from their lockers and left the room to find a spot to change out of range of peering eyes. They obviously didn't take to it well, and without management coercion, it got to be pretty pointless.

The Manhattan complex seems to be in the process of perfecting a new business model for the Zona .It consists of running up a huge tab with the federally owned electric utility-CFE. Then when they cut off the power you hook up a portable generator not as a temporary measure but for long term use. You wall it off so it can't be seen the the sound is a dead giveaway. And should those pesky authorities try to foreclose you go to a judge who grants you an injunction (amparo)solely out of the goodness of his heart.

No need to cover up the dressing room, as Erip mentioned, the chicas don't use it. Foolish. A PERFECT way for a chica to see who's checking her out in the bar below.

The next to last time I wandered into Manhattan, the glass wall of the dressing room was not blocked and the chicas were changing in there, giving a better show than the dancer floor below.

Can any of you skillful ones get Britney to go up? She is Stunning - pretty face; very attractive face; fast, energetic dancing. Only small "A" tits. A waiter approached us and asked me if I wanted to buy **** a drink, but I had to say no, because Britney would be coming to my table in less than 10 minutes. **** acted like she did not want to leave the table, but told me she would be going home for the night then (this explained her no makeups and casual clothes). She then said something to pj's chica. After she left, pj's chica told me **** liked me very much.

I was sitting on the chair for about 2 minutes, and decided to pursue **** for the night. **** was still hanging with her chica friend at the door. When she saw me coming out of the door, she gave me a big smile. She was obviously talking about me with her amiga, who told me "she wants you." **** asked me if I wanted to go with her. I said, si. I asked her, how much. She said, money does not matter, as long as I pay for the hotel.

So, here we were in the hotel. **** told me she had two kids, and asked me if I had a wife, gf, or kids. I said, no to all of them. She then asked me if I wanted a Mexicana esposa. I said, oh yeah. She told me, then let's get married and start making a baby right away. And then, she proceeded to give me a total GFE (but I used a condom to fuck).

I also placed $60 on a table before the sex. After the deed, **** asked me, acting surprised, "is this for me?". She told me, though, when she goes with customers, she usually charges $100. To be honest, I would not go with her for the price. I'd rate her looks 7 (not Dinaneta 7), although her techniques, attitude, performance are all 9+. I went back to Manhattan last night. I did not see ****, so I asked a messero to bring Britney to my table. For some reason, I remembered her as having a light brown hair. Her hair was darker. She also had a VERY heavy makeup. Up close, I did not find her face attractive at all. I'd rate her looks 5. She has a great body, and a vivacious attitude. She invited me to dance right away. Still, my interest in her was quickly disappearing. Another problem is, I am still learning Spanish, and need a girl to make an effort to understand me (and herself). The girl such as **** (who speaks zero English) would make this effort. Britney did not. After some futile attempts, I asked the messero to function as our interpretater. With him in between (which was sort of awkward), I asked her if she would go to hotel with me, she nodded. I then asked her how much it would cost. The messero chatted with her, and told me $80. I did not want to spend that much money on her, so I did not continue this topic. This chat happened just when she was finishing first drink and asking me for a second drink. So it is remotely possible it was a hook. I bought her a second drink, but did not go with her.

I later bumped into putajunkie at CC. pj is a serious puta junkie. I go to TJ 2-4 times a week, and see him practically every time I go there. Manhattan is his new home, and he told me how **** was asking about me the next night she met me. He thinks **** really likes me, which is a good thing, because I also like her as a person. We then talked about Britney. He thinks she is hot. He said, he seriously made out with her in the club. But, he did not go upstairs with her, because she asked him $100.

Manhattan Club has long provided a couple of private sex chambers on a mezzanine overlooking the club floor. I had never seen them until a chica provided a tour this week. One of the totally private rooms now has a full size Jacuzzi. Only furnishings for activity outside of the Jacuzzi is a couch - they can't get away with putting actual beds in these facilities since on-premises sex in zona norte bars is illegal and not officially "tolerated" when the authorities are in the mood for a crackdown. A large window overlooks the club and dance floor, but it doesn't seem that you really will be able to observe the action through this window.

The deal is $100 for one hour which includes 10 ficha drinks for the chica and full service for you. And yes, there were a number of completely unattended cuties in the club on Sunday night at around 9PM when the tour was given.

I don't get it Erip. Can you tell us one more time about the Room plus Fichas? So in other words, you go up to the room with the girl, fuck her for an hour and still get 10 fichas? Let us know ASAP, because it sounds like are great deal....

M3...that's exactly how it was represented to me and an amigo who shared the tour with me. For bars like Manhattan which do very little business and inexplicably remain open year after year and the low hotel traffic chicas who work there, it is not a bad deal. There are a number of low hotel volume bars that operate this way in the zona (i.e. offer hotel session equivalents under the guise of offering "privados"). You will find similar arrangements at Playboy Bar, Odisea, Rio Verde and other places where on-premises facilities are [illegally] provided for sex.

Of course the chicas are independent contractors and some will ask for more money...whereas others may take less. If your selected chica balks at the price, tell her that guys you know were given a tour and told that $100 buys the Jacuzzi room, fichas and full service included. She'll know you're not bluffing...she'll walk away and conference with some waiters/managers...then return and accept your offer.

This is not any kind of consumer killing for the customer since one hour hotel sessions are easy to come by at zona norte clubs with much greater chica selection for $100 or less. The special attraction is the Jacuzzi. It works in the context of an off-location like Manhattan.

What is the price for the jacuzzi WITHOUT the chica? I'm thinking of bringing a US chica to Manhattan. This all assumes that there is plenty of privacy in the jacuzzi room, no meseros barging in. It could be fun.

Sorry Explorer, the chica trying to sell us the package with regard to her own services wasn't too concerned with the variables that you are capable of cooking up. But if you're serious, you know you can make it happen for the right price. Those private rooms are vacant 98% of the time waiting for a reasonable offer.
