It's on 6'th, a block East of Deja Vu. You wouldn't know it's a massage place by the outward appearance. The sign only says "Salon for Hombres, Vapor, Jacuzzi." The entrance looks classy, with Roman statues flanking the stairway. Upstairs, its apparent its just another hooker/massage joint.

Stuck my head in Tuesday night. Five girls in the front room, only one seemed to speak any English. All were pretty decent looking. The one with command of English quoted $25 for a 30 minute massage, with "extra services" at additional cost. I didn't bite since I had other plans. My guess is its another one of the lousy to mediocre massage places that offer relatively high priced "extras". However, as always, in TJ, you never know.

I wonder if the format (not advertising the massage) is a response to the recent news of crackdowns against the whore houses disguised as massage parlors? Kind of like in Sacramento a few years ago, when there were a lot of restrictions on massage parlors and, consequently, there were a lot of "Tanning and Relaxation" places.

Still way overpriced, of course she agrees.

If it wasn't for my chica's attitude, I would have left before the FS negotiations came into play. Facilities were pretty run-down, except for the bathrooms which are actually pretty nice looking. Total damage $40 for the room, $100 for FS, $10 tip. Way overpriced, but chica tells me she's going over to D'Elegantes which owns both "spas". She tells me it has much nicer beds, and "real" bedrooms. I might look her up when I come back next month.

how would you rate the experience at spa classico? i live just blocks from there and never knew it existed. when you went how many girls were working?

Last time I went there were 4 girls at 2pm. 3 were doable.

I know that that is not the only Spa in that part of town, the problem is that without any signage out front they are hard to find. Places like this cater to the locals not those of us from north of the border.

Hey you silly kids, and I know Roadglide must know this, Spa Classico is a new name for the old well known Executive Massage (Ejecutivo). This place was extremely popular with gringo mongers until it started slipping in reliability probably caused by less savvy managers taking over and in a time that the city was harassing the MPs. The city later decided to leave the MP's alone if they meet certain administrative requirements including health cards for chicas. This place was considered the class of TJ in terms of their gracious management and upscale approach, high level chicas and reliable service. The price was higher then other MPs but the place was a cut above or more of its competition...more like a comfortable bordello then a grind 'em out MP.

Now it is Spa Classico and the reports I heard are mixed - which means automatically that it isn't up to the old Ejecutivo standards - but may be at times. The facilities were excellent and still are - especially the VIP room with its jacuzzi's and assortment of other upscale amenities at a fixed price for 90 minute sessions.

I understand they continue one of Ejecutivo's best practices - individual introductions to the chicas in a living room area instead of a cattle call lineup. So you can meet all the chicas in a gracious manner and walk away if none of them do it for you.

One of the main things/features that RE had going for it was the management/madamship of Gresilda. She was always top-notch and ran a great house. In the past, I became pretty good friends with some of the girls there (including G.) and the girls would never say a bad word about the place or G. and they seemed to like working there.

You have to understand one of the main draws for places like this. They mainly employ local girls who do not want to be seen on the street or in a club. Oh, there's exceptions but a lot of the girls like the "security".
