An old friend of mine(acutally he is old, but only my friend for a few years now) is putting together a fiesta to benefit the orphanage. The money we raise will help with the tuition for the orphans. The event will start at 7pm on saturday July 16th in La Tropa.
In the past our group has done lots of amazing things, such as provide toys, bikes, clothes for these children over the last several years. Recently one child was given a electrical custom fit wheelchair, and we provided a swing set for the kids as well. Each kid received two pairs of shoes in the last year as well.
The old man is supplying the beer and carne asada for everyone. You are encoraged to attend and to make a donation. If you want to help, but cannot attend, please inbox Milkman as he is helping with the administration.
We will be behind La Tropa at their patio, which is very spacious. Please rsvp to me if you can attend so we will have an idea on the food.
These parties are generally lots of fun and we just shoot the shit, and trade stories, and make fun of the old man. Lurkers and newbies are always welcome and we generally get about 5-10 new guys each fiesta.
If you like to bring a chica that is fine as well. Please make plans to attend as these are always really fun. Don't be shy as these are always good events to network a little and just relax with the hombres.

The party is this saturday and we have in excess of $3000 pledged so far. I encourage all hombres and lurkers to attend as these are always fun. We will be behind the bar on the patio. You can enter through the front door or through the drive off of Revolution.

Erip, I wrote this for TJA, but here is my take of yesterdays Fiesta.
-------------------------------------------
Thank you Ben for this cause and hopefully those in the know will update us on these children’s progress and education accomplishments. The $$$ raised were “over “ the goal as I understand it, and I appreciate being a member of such a generous group of individuals as diverse as heck, but in unity on good works for others who need assistance.
This was probably better cooked chicken than any thing the GOP’s Fundraising Convention could cook up. Ditto to Santa’s helpers that organized and participated in making the function run smoothly. It was a great night. I still have not met a monger I didn’t like. It’s always kewl to see how someone looks like after you read their posts regularly for a while. Ben was a great host and made sure I was sitting close to the bar where I witnessed 10 buckets of beer on deck. The food was large in proportions and I had 2 buckets of beer all to myself, but Gustalatina and SD Scuba forced me to share with Apache, Viking and Allyn504 so I think I only drank 9 or so beers. I noticed Sampson had two nice ladies close to him, but they were looking so hot, that I pussied out and never asked him what was up with them. The waiters’ did act very polite and had a positive attitude - I kept thinking when are they going to bug me for a teeeep ?- they never asked! The boxing was kewl, although I still don’t understand what happened at the end- (a tie?). The upstairs patio was a surprise - I did not know it exists. Nice chairs too. JD was exceptionally polite and friendly as usual and made the rounds - now he would make a great politician! Met a big guy who, after seeing my qualifications with beer, wanted to do shots of tequila with me, but I pussied out. Maybe next time. Met Viking - who made quite the journey to attend. A generous guy. Amo was also very excited and always a kewl , easy-going guy to chat with. I talked a while to a Club Hombre user who has excellent taste in women and we shared rumors and war stories. At the end of the Fiesta, I met another monger that I had wanted to meet for a while- good times. You know who you are- but I kinda got the feeling that you wanted to remain anonymous - that’s kewl - but thanks for sayin’ hi. Also saw Donovan who I owe 2 beers too and the other usual suspects who also like to remain anonymous. Sorry I was lazy and didn’t do the head-banging mosh pit act, but maybe this Christmas I will? Again, Ben, thanks for a quality fiesta.

Nice Summary Metalboots.
This event and the one Ben put on at Christmas were the best I've been to.
It was great to catch up with you.
You looked very sharp with your new hair cut and nice Polo dress shirt.
The chicken breasts were delicious. Mexican carne asada is what it, is but it was good also.
Way more beers available than needed.
Very impressed with the generousity of those who donated.
Personally I would loved to have seen many more donate.
