THE GOOD:

-Hong Kong Bar had an excellent layout and does it's best to keep their customers entertained.
-Sidewalks are wide and much cleaner
-Paleteria on Constitution still cranks out great licuados and paletas.
-Daytime at Adelita's much better than in the years past when it was just worn out Mom's
-Street girls are much prettier than in years past and they dress in school girl outfits and other fashionable theme wear that makes some of these little Indian girls look presentable and sometimes hot. The problem is that a lot of the hot girls from the streets have decided to try out the big leagues an are making enough dough to stay there.

THE BAD:
-Chicago Club is officially closed IMHO. When I started mongering, that place was Supermodels-r-us and now there are just a couple of graduated street girls and other worn out flabby chicks that are WAY past their prime. Their are about 15 guys for every girl in this place and all the booths are crowded with married Vietnamese guys spending the night trying to woo the girls with sweet talk and fichas. This place is now a total fucking waste of time and the talent is nil.
-Although there are a couple of serious stunners still at Adelitas, the stunners are going up 15 times a night so why bother. The rest of the bar is loaded with very, very pretty fat girls. I don't mean fat in a relative manner...I mean absolutely fucking HUGE by anyone's standards. Bumpy stomachs from multiple lipos, ass implants, scars all over their body and dents all along the back of their leg from excess cellulite. I couldnt believe that some guys would actually pay money to fuck some of these girls. Some of these girls are nearly 40 and 200 lbs and are still busy on a Saturday.
-The fresh blood at Tropical is more sporadic now and a lot of the girls that were FOB's at one time are still working there 2 years later and are looking shabby.
-Las Chavelas is loaded with girls that weigh more than 3 Thai girls combined. Occasionally you will find a hot young spinner but it's like finding a white tiger.
-The talent level at Hong Kong now is aweful. The skinny girls have faces like Broom Hilda and the pretty girls look pregnant.
-Pollo Bar, La Caretta and others are straight up clip joints.
-Fucking beggars everywhere
-Taxi Libre system is now a complete farce
-The demographic makeup of the mongers on Saturday is horrifying. Let's just say I saw a lot of guys who makeup a segment of the population that has an AIDS rate nearly 10 times that of your average person and I dont mean homos. Last thing I want to do is fuck a girl after seeing some of these guys go upstairs with them. Basically 1/3 of the mongers fit this description whereas they were rarely seen before.

I totally agree with your assessment of TJ, but I think others that have not ventured out of the AB/CC scene may not have the same perspective. The guys who've never been out of ZN think it's the greatest, and I'm not going to case on them if they're having fun. So let's say $600 bucks for 18hr or 33.3/BONE hr for SG and a budget busting 50/BONE hr for an Adelita.

Now in LOS you can get LT for let's say 2000 baht or less. $50 which can turn into a couple to many BONE hours...let's say 3 solid OR 16/BONE hr. Please note that $ can be less than this. If I go to Cambodia (coming this year)my price drops to (LT) 6.7/BONE hr. Shit even in the DR it was 10/BONE hr.

Double all of the prices to factor in a plane tix and you are still coming out ahead....and we have not even factored in service quality, location attractiveness, food...

But you have to put a lot of time, effort OR money into it, and you still ain't likely to get super-model quality looks. I have had many wonderful experiences in TJ, and in other parts of Mexico. With less frequent visits I find I have less great experiences unless I spend a lot of money (a lot by Porkers standards anyway).

It still has the same appeal McDonalds does, however: It is close, easy, and fast.

I can make a TJ run, spend most of the night in the arms of a chica, and be back home or at work the next day before you have even landed in SEA.

I've only been to TJ once, last fall and I was surprised by a few things. I thought there were plenty of attractive doable girls, and I was shocked at the attractiveness of the SGs.

I had two sessions, one with a SG and one at the Chicago Club. It's not the type of sex or experience that I enjoy - but that's not to say I didn't have a good time.

But when you do the math - figure the actual cost per minute and factor in the service - every other venue blows away TJ.

I met up with a few guys, all TJ vets and we had a blast. I would't have gone there myself - ironic because I always travel alone.

I also had an incredible meal with Blazers - can't remember the name of the restaurant, but I do remember the whole baked fish, stuffed with crabmeat and covered in queso blanco - delicious!

Coming from the East Coast, however, TJ doesn't make sense - I can get to Costa Rica in the same amount of time and Colombia is just a little further - plus there's no jet lag to deal with in CR or Colombia - same time zone as the East, 6 months out of the year anyway.

But if someone gave me the choice of a weekend in Vegas or TJ - I'd have to think long and hard - very difficult choice to make.

I have been to Thailand this year for the first time and been going to TJ since 1998. I was not at all impressed with Thailand's working ladies; just girls who wanted to cut my nose hairs, had smelly pussy, phreakey mood swings and then take 45min showers. AND NO CLUB SCEEN.

As much as I hate to admit this, I did have another reason putting me near the border, I was in TJ on Saturday in the afternoon. I cut my teeth mongering in TJ, also 1999. Over the last three years I have probably been back to TJ 6 to 9 times, usually at the request of somebody wanting to see it for the first time or to hook up with some old friends who still go there. As far as my impressions from this last Saturday; I did find a fairly cute girl in Bar Tropical, from DF, which did kinda worry me; but she did pretty much all I asked and was not mercenary at all. I am getting ready to visit TJ next week after a long absence. I have a business trip to CA & good excuse. After having visited Brazil numerous times, it will be hard to do without kissing, hugging, the whole girlfriend experience there versus the very professional job in TJ. Plus I also do not like covered BJ's. But then again it is a quick & easy hop across the border (if you are already in Southern CA). Flying to Brazil is not exactly easy, cheap, or quick. I have heard that Varig will soon start day non-stop service to Rio, which will definitely rule out TJ once again for a long time. I just absolutely hate those overnight flights with major jet lag. I guess TJ is good only if you happen to be somewhere in Southern California for whatever reason, you live there or travel there for business. Otherwise it is not worth traveling long distances to visit.

This is very disappointing news. I haven't been to TJ in few years. I was planning to go a couple months from now for a several days, several lays trip. Would boystown in NL be better for this? Anyone been to both?

If you're flying, bypass Mexico completely. That's my advice, if you're going on a mongering vacation, pick South America, Central America or the Caribbean.
