Located on Revolucion between 3rd and 4th street. Straight massage, like Aztec Massage only better. http://www.vivamexspa.com

It is much better than Aztec. Much nicer facilities, no boom box music from down stairs, same prices.
I got a deep tissue massage that was as good as I got from Lola at Aztec.
I don't think I will ever go to Aztec again.

I tried them on one day, then Azteca on the next. Contrast was there. Azteca was grubby, service poor, and the joint was empty. For $10 more, clean, efficient service, etc. My only objection was the soap dispensor was empty. I mentioned it to the reception clerk, who asked me to fill in the suggestion book. It was a series of pages with a carefully hand lettered form over and over again, two to a page, in English. These folks want to please!

ask for the owner if you go back, he likes to meet mongers as he is/was a monger himself. careful when talking to him/ his girfriend manages the place and doesn't know about that. he often gives a free drink or some concession if you let him know you are an internet monger.

Poppabear...Lola is my favorite at Azteca. Do you happen to remember the name of the masajista at VivaMex who equals her? I'd like to compare. I know only Guadalupe at VivaMex. She would be on the 'B' team at Azteca IMHO...Bosco

Coincidentally, I had Guadalupe Garcia at VivaMex. She asked me if I wanted a soft, med or strong massage. I asked for the strong.
Guadalupe spent much more time on my feet than Lola does. I had been bothered by plantar fascilitus and it really helped.
We may have different standards in rating our massages or Guadalupe may have gotten better at giving deep tissue massages.

Daniella is really good, I won't go if she's not available. Not because the others are not good, she's just spoiled me.

Viva Mex has moved. They located ground floor of Revo. Same side on the same block about 200 feet south of the original spa. Lots of new girls.

Really like this massage parlor. Really nice setup, with a bunch of small rooms. No disco music bleeding through the walls like in Azteca Massage. Strictly no extras in this massage either. There's an extensive menu list, and prices differ to the type of massage and the amount of time. Went in there and had Angelica as masseuse. I asked for a "Forte" instead of the "Suave" because I thought I could take it like a man. Little did I know this was like asking the waitress at a Thai restaurant to make things spicy. I came out of there with a limp, and my neck muscles were sore for a week. Overall it was a great exprience though. Very soothing music and comfortable atmosphere had me totally relaxed, something I really couldn't do in Azteca.
