Actually, when it comes to e-mail I cheerfully respond to everything I get. I've had the same address for years. Of course, as you note,
remaining anonymous is very important to me.

A cogent observation sir! I never tire of striking up conversations with the gentlemen I meet in the Zona Norte. Those who are net-savvy
have all read my TJ FAQ, so it's fun to chat them up about its usefulness. Even when I drop rather broad hints, nobody every suspects that the gentleman they are talking to is the legendary
Brockton O'Toole.

Dead on again! Over the years I've gone out of my way to paint with very broad strokes. To me, the BOT persona is a fun diversion and a nice change from some of the overly confessional traffic I read. Don't get me wrong. The personal stuff is quite interesting and my hat is off to those who post it. But as you note, my style is to create a character. By the way, you'd be surprised how many people don't get that and e-mail me asking about my private jet, seeking stock picks, etc.

Welcome BOT/EC, or is it ECBOT?

Today's history lesson:

BOT wrote the original TJ FAQ, which was the ground work for all you see her and Redsnake.

The above is an e-mail I received from BOT about a post I did about his persona in response to a newbie asking how to contact BOT. Months later now, BOT noticed my old post (probably last Nov on the ASPT news group), and responded confirming that I understood the BOT persona, that by its very nature, you will never meet. Although many of us have, and not realized it by BOT's design.

This stuff may only make sense to those of us that have been around since the old aspt newsgroup, that predated the boards, of which this is the third.

OK, OK, aspt is short for: alt.sex.prostitution.tijuana
The actual newsgroup still exists and is full of spam, as always, but at one time we used the monicer [aspt} in our subject lines so that anyone could sort the crap and see the on topic posts.

The current IRC chat room is "#aspt" named after the newsgroup.

Enough historty. Resume your . . . uh . . . well whatever you are doing.

Some of us even remember when ASP was the main newsgroup, and the BOT FAQ was around even then. In fact, as I recall, it was first posted on the 'World Sex Guide' site.

SOMEBODY please correct me if I'm wrong... but I recall maybe around 1993 or so, seeing a porn vid in the "pro-am" genre that was narrated or introduced by a guy calling himself Brockton O'Toole. As I recall he was an elegant white haired gent with one of those old-style western-gentleman accents (like John Huston had in 'Chinatown'), wearing a blue blazer and navy/yachting caps with the anchor on it. No idea what the vid was now.

Balam, take a look at the archives for the "Monger Thread" - probably the 2nd to most recent archive, and if not the most recent. There's a complete discussion of this topic contained there. But the short answer is yes there was/is a gentleman calling himself Brockton O'Toole who was involved in production of the early Evil Angel videos, and appeared in at least one of the videos (I believe one of the Sodomania series).

I remember reading all your articles years ago. 1994, 95, 96, and I would read about how much money "you" would have to pay for the gals. And I would get so mad.
