This is the new hotel on the alley that has a narrow entry located between El Corral (old Monaco Bar) & El Taco Choncho restaurant. It has no sign in front, only the address (# 8088-2) appears above the doorframe in decorative spanish tile (El Corral Bar's entry is similarly designated with the same tiles showing it's address: 8088-1).
There is a long, nicely decorated hallway to the reception desk. Rooms & beds are small, bathrooms include large showers, total of 9 rooms on 2 floors. The five upstairs rooms (Numbered 5 through 9) are for overnight guests Sunday through Thursday night. The four downstairs rooms are used for S/T rentals, and all nine rooms are used exclusively for S/T rentals on Friday and Saturday night.
Official posted room rates are as follows:
15 minutes $6 or 60p
20 minutes $8 or 80p
25 minutes $10 or 100p
30 minutes $12 or 120p
60 minutes $20 or 200p
120 minutes $25 or 250p
overnight for $35 or 350p (Sun. to Thurs.)
Great features of this hotel:
Fairly quite.
They have the typical mattress on a raised wooden platform, but they use a premium mattress with a built-in additional foam pad that is very comfortable for sleeping.
No joiner fees
Exceptionally clean and well decorated, best SG hotel for that.
Four of the five upstairs rooms (#5, 6, 7 & 8, but not smaller #9) have a decorative table equipped with one small drawer.
Very nice and roomy walk-in showers, largest ones I have seem in La Zona, roomy enough for gordo me and non-flaca Sandy of Cascades to shower in together in good comfort.
Responsive happy staff
Some of the beds upstairs have large mirrored headboards.
They recently added televisions with built-in DVD p[layers connected to Direct TV in the overnight rooms upstairs. While they don't subscribe to many premium channels, they have purchased a package that has many local, news, and movie channels. Also numerous XM music channels.
When you rent the room S/T for 15 minutes, you can request the 5-minute, $2 rental term extension from behind the closed door and settle-up when you emerge from the room after its use.
If you arrive in the morning, they will rent the overnight room to you right away if one is ready and available, thus you can get a 27 or 28 hour rental period since the 1PM check-out time is not altered.
Drawbacks of this hotel:
No hot water delivered to sink, only in shower
Takes a long time for hot water to arrive in the shower
Rooms are very very small, with no closets or storage area other than under the table. Most of the former limited tabletop area is now gone due to addition of the TV and cable box.
No apparent heat or air-bring your own space heater/fan unit and you'll be OK.
With only 5 upstairs overnight rooms, expect many sell-outs, however not yet.
In fact, last week on Monday night three of the five upstairs rooms went unrented, two were vacant on Tuesday night
A very knowedgeable monger told me that he he heard they had informally LOWERED their overnight rate to $30.
When I arrived Monday morning I looked at the grease board. Their previously posted rates were unchanged (i.e. overnight = $35 or 350p). But I talked to the front desk lady and said that my amigo had told me that their was now a special room rate of $30. Was that true? She nodded yes and I gladly paid her in US currency (a first for me there). I even renewed one more night at the same $30 rate.
Later during my second night they were showing the room to this other monger. As he came down the stairs he asked rates and the same clerk quoted the posted rate. He balked and offered only $25. She politely declined and he went on his way.

Good info SMD! You covered it well - but for you fat-asses who like to WATCH your SG bounce up and down on your cock - this hotel has huge mirrors over the bed-frames! Very Kewl Visuals when you can look in the mirror to see her legs and bush in action - just like a self serving porno!
My favorite SG's use this place. And maybe its me, but the staff is quite friendly here. Well, especially compared to Casscades where they go the extra mile to be rude.
Good job SMD.

If having a large mirror for your headboard is important to you...
Then be sure to look for it the momment you enter your room.
Upstairs room #6 has a nice mirror serving as a headboard, but room #8 DOES NOT!
I am sure that the small friendly staff will get you one of the rooms with a headboard mirror if you ask upon check-in.
All rooms also have a small mirror in the bathroom over the sink and a full length mirror mounted on the wall (that unfortunately is positioned away from bedtop viewing angles )

Yes, good informative post. Two hornz up, right metalboots? .
Some of the SGs at El Porton will accept 50 pesos or US$5 for the 15-minute room rental fee.

Yezz 2 Hornz Up - El Porton Iz Kewl!!! One more note for fat-assed mongers that need to sit down because standing up all the time requires energy.
El Porton has nice booth-like chairs in their lobby. It is an especially nice way to check out the chicas - kinda in the fashion of Casscades lobby. Of course not as big of a lobby as Casscades - but its better than nothing. Si!
