I'm going to be in L.A. over Memorial Day weekend and would like to give TJ a go. I've been to Laredo, Nogales and Mexicali, may as well complete the set.

I assume that the Mexicans don't celebrate our Memorial Day, but what about the crowds. I could put my visit off to the following weekend. In general what is the situation in TJ on our holidays, do the girls work, is there a big crowd, are rooms difficult to get, etc.?

BTW, anssering your question: Memorial Day is not a holiday in mx. It will be busy with all of us gringos down there. The girls will have one of their main business days, the selection will be excellent, but also the crowd will be large. If you are new to TJ, the bars which will interest you most are Adelitas Bar and Chicago Club. Both are close together in a safe area of the Zona Norte. AB has the largest selection of girls, but is a nightmare on Saturdays. The crowds in that place have gotten completely out of hand. Fridays are much better, Thursday and Sunday the best days in terms of customer/chica relation. CC is good on th-su night after 10 pm, even on Saturdays one can find at least a place to stand. Mondays are dead in CC, but still good at AB.

Based on last Memorial Day, I would say come on down. It will be somewhat more crowded than other weekends, but not drastically so.

Powerslave will be in Bahia de los Angeles on Memorial day, drinking heavily.
