Honestly, as a guy that mongered for a longtime with buddies in TJ in the 90s, there are much more beauties in SEA and SA IMO.

But, I was actually in TJ a few weekends ago and, quite by accident, I actually partook of a girl in a less frequented bar (Tropicana Bar) that was simply gorgeous with natural, firm c-cups... blonde-surfer babe type of look from Sinaloa.

In years past, in the 90's, there were 2 sisters that could've easily been playboy models --Leticia and forgot the name of the older one. Whew, what bodies and faces they had. There was another gal named Erica from Tropical with the cutest face and nicest body. These girls don't seem to last too long though and I can see why some guys would not want to disclose them too overtly to the board.

Most are completely uneducated. Not that we go down to host spelling bees or to hold Book-of-the-Month Club meetings, but the vast majority of girls in TJ and other border towns are pretty much complete morons.

Hygene - do these girls ever shower? Other than rinsing off their pussies in the shower or sink, that is. For Icelandman, who posted about eating out Mexican putas, I have had more stinky-pussed putas in Mexican border towns than in 24 other countries combined. The concept of eating one of these smelly girls out isn't even a consideration.

Attitude - not so much the girls, which is totally piss poor, but management. An hour at the hotel is 30 minutes, 30 minutes is 15. Constant scamming, constant sneak-thief bullshit by the waiters, you're basically treated like dirt. Go to a termas in Brasil or a soapie in Thailand and compare the attitudes of everything from the girl to the cleaning crew. I know that Mexico isn't as poor as some other countries but still, US$50 or $60 is a lot of money and you should be treated as a customer with a lot of money.

Style - most Mexican putas wear the cheapest clothes, the cheapest makeup, the cheapest perfumes. The clown makeup the girls paint on their faces is amusing as hell. If these girls weren't being bad prostitutes in Mexico they would be cleaning houses in LA. Compare that to a termas garota in Rio with her designer clothes, quality perfumes and makeup, while some of those girls don't have the greatest of education most are somewhat intelligent and you can have conversations with them about shit.

Venue - TJ and the other border towns are fairly ugly places. In TJ, you have crooked cab drivers, crooked hotel managers, crooked bartenders and waiters and everyone's favorite, crooked cops. I haven't been to TJ in about a year and a half but from reading the posts, the shakedowns seem much worse than before since the mordidas are now working right at border crossing.

I think the overall opinion that a lot of guys, who used to go to TJ but don't anymore, have is that, not just compared to other venues, where TJ clearly doesn't come close to matching, the overall TJ experience is simply non-rewarding. Why contribute money to an economic system that doesn't appreciate you? Do you like some illiterate fucking waiter, who lives in a hovel and whos dream is to one day sneak across the fence to clean toilets, looking down his nose at you like you're an idiot? Do you like giving money to an ugly fat smelly puta for bad sex, with the knowledge that at the end of the day she's going to give all the money to her illiterate wannabe-vato boyfriend?

Tourists get the hustle, at least to a small extent, everywhere on the planet. It seems in TJ, they legitimately don't like their customers, and do all they can to fuck with them and to steal as much money in as short a time as they can.

I agree for the most part with your summary of TJ. There were times when TJ just beat me down. I haven't traveled the world sex destinations but your's is a consistent view of TJ after one has traveled.

But I will say this. You can find an exception to everything you stated above and this is what keeps me going back to TJ.

A hot chica who provides great service. An honest cab driver. An honest cop. An honest talechero. An honest mesero. An honest manager. etc.

It's not easy but under the surface it is there.

And when you find them then the enjoyment circle expands even more and eventually you find yourself with less hassles and drama.

A consistent TJ schedule helps achieve these benefits. I find myself sticking with a few waiters at AB and if you want an honest bar tender, find Serio at CC. Great guy.

When one has established that he is a "TJ regular" and has a good reputaion as being a good client, then chicas tell other chicas, so you become less of a mark.

I've also found treating most people with respect first got me alot further than just expecting it.

I certainly wouldn't recommend TJ to someone who has the resources to travel, and I am not one of those people so TJ fits my budget right now.

I will say that I have curbed my trips and on recent visits I haven't seen the greatest selections. There was a time when CC was elbow to elbow hotties. Then AB. Now I would say the elbows are very distant.

Keep in mind, you live in the area (if I remember correctly). What you've stated, I agree with, but keep it in context - you guys have invested an enormous amount of time, effort and money to find decent experiences. You simply shouldn't have to, and for us guys who only stop in occasionally, we don't have the time to invest. I see no reason to have to visit a place 30 times over a six-month period to start getting treated as you deserve. In Thailand/PI/Brasil you're treated well from the get go. Not that Rio isn't the most dangerous city in the world and the restaurants and whatnot are always trying to snake you a little bit, if you walk into a termas, whether you've been there 30 times or it's your first time, your experience with the girl will generally be good to excellent, compared to anywhere else.

Guys who love TJ - and to be honest, a lot of other spots in Central America and South America except Brasil and Argentina - usually say the same thing. "You have to invest some time, it's not like you can just walk in and get an A+ experience. Get to know the girls/hotels/bars/cabbies and you'll have a great time" and they sometimes say it like "you guys in Brasil and Asia are slackers, taking it easy. We work for our putas." Hey, I'm not pledging a fraternity and need to go through four months of bullshit hazing to get in. I don't monger to work hard, although there is some thrill to discovering an unknown puta bar or a small goldmine of top talent in a place you didn't know about. You can go to Thailand/Brasil/PI and from your first day of your first trip until the last day of your last trip, you can have a blast with the girls and a high percentage of the encounters will be good to excellent. Why ignore that/avoid that just to say "it took me 20 tries but I finally found a Mexicana who likes to suck dick and let me shoot a load all over her face, or took it up the ass, etc".

You don't get extra points for trying hard. They're all hookers, why get hassled when you don't have to?

Your points are well taken by me. As I said, I wouldn't recommned TJ as a sex vacation desitnation. It is a good place for us so cal folks to blow some steam off. And maybe a tourist to the SD area.

Yes with the amount of time and money I've spent in TJ, I could have hit rio or SEA. It sounds like the other places are better but I think my TJ investment is offering good returns for a short drive without having to make huge vacation, travel, and financial commitments to another destination.

I agree with both cat and front about tj. There is a learning curve and ymmv a lot there, but if you're in socal it's a gr8 option if you know how to work the tj scene. If you don't, you become more bitter with each visit, and quickly write off tj once you've discovered rio or asia.

As for having to work it, it al depends on what you're after. I found that in colombia, I had to work it to get exceptional service from the girls. Same goes for tj, just to a higher degree.

As for hygiene, I agree. I attribute this to poor education re germs and such, cultural diff, poor conditions, and dry weather. Washings consist of a bucket of water and a bowl....making it a choir to wash. Mex is also not as humid as asia so you don't overheat as easily in mex. Moreover, frequent washings will overly dry the skin causing premature aging.

How about the guyz who get BITTER at the bargirls in TJ cuz they suck? I stay loyal and kewl to the SG'z cuz they are sweetiez to me and I get more M in the YMMV equation.
