I think what bothered me most at the time was that I wanted more time, and Gabriela was being unreasonable about it (I think she wanted $40 extra for another 15 minutes). In retrospect, it was probably because she perceived me as a sucker, since I paid the inflated initial rate ($30).

Gabriela talked throughout the entire session, but not all of it was asking for more money. For example she jokingly called me her "boyfriend" several times, and something about us getting "married", etc. I thought that was fun, and I suspect it's not the norm for street girls.

So despite the extra cost and distractions (the negotiating), she was still fun. Therefore even though I won't do her again, YMMV quite a bit.

On my 2nd trip ever to TJ, I was walking along the street by Adelitas when I was approached by an older woman asking the time. She asked where I was from and then proceeded to tell me she was from the states (I forget where), and she's in TJ "helping the children".
