Fri 13th October Night. Depressing Short TR
Been meaning to get to TJ for over a month now. No tiempo. Finally a window of oportunity arises. Fri/Sat Oct. 13/14. I hate weekends. Now in retrospect, Weekends in TJ are un-acceptable.
7+ hr drive as SB 5 hiway is jammed up from Irvine on - made me pissed at myself by the time I got to TJ. No jacket, never thought it was going to RAIN. Well, stupid me. It rained on me.
CC - HK - AB - as individually stated in their own threads; all 3 places were stock full of Dicks and tough guys. [Chicago Club] Went here last night (Fri 13th) - sucked. Only my favorita was there for my rescue. Even Andria the messera who came back to work there looked depressed. Bunch of uglies. Buch of fatties. Bunch of tatooed and make-uped older has-beens'. The working ladies also looked haggared.
Can't say I did any better; with the rain and all the mud. Bottom line - where are all the hotties?
[Hong Kong Bar] Sucked. WAY too many guys. Fat blond on stage. Yuk. Nice looking thin lady on mid-level stage. I was on 3rd level lookin' down. They now charge $4.00 for the Friday night beer? You serious!? Or did he rip me off? No tipping large from me then! No kewl vibe - went back on the street to adore my lovely SG's/
Typical Sat night I hate - way to many thugs and very few ladies. Well, fortunatly, my favorita is at CC and we have a date upstairs. So I walked in the rain back to CC to find her. 2 Fichas in 15 mins. Pretty slow for Fri night TJ standards I guess. Oh well, I am sure that She grew tired of me telling her about my escapades in AC , Phils. Who can blame her? She boosted my ego by complimenting my appearance. Maybe she was laughing at such a stupid gingo wearing shorts and a T-shirt in the rain?
Great session for a Fri night. But for 3 years of knowing her - it should be.
Lapped around CC afterwards - then back out to the SG alley. Had a date with another regular on rotation. Average 15 min session. Nothing special. No sparks, no excitement. Then it fucking rains. More rain. I am wearing shorts and a T-shirt. My fault, so I duck into the CC resturant.
7+ hrs drive, and a planned 2 day visit. I am love suck for GFE like in AC. It aint gunna happen. I said fuck it - get in Cab back to border @ midnight. Here's the best part: I get dropped off at the Sentry:
TJ's Finest Stop Me!
$ Excuse me:
+ How can I help you sir?
$Where's your jacket ?
+That's why I am leaving, I am getting sick in the rain - I did not know it was going to rain.
$Yes sir, I think the weather report says it will continue to rain. Do you have ID?
+Yes, (pull it out along with $500 or so )
$Yes Mr. Metal, do you have any prescriptions like Viagra?
+No, I don't need it yet.
$Okay, please turn around for inspection. [I face the metalic barrier that is on the bottom of the pedestrian bridge and another cop pats me down.]
$Okay Mr. Metal be careful not to become ill.
==== Cop who stopped me spoke PERFECT english. Seemed Kewl. I was not intimadated nor intoxicated as I left TJ way before I planned to. Just an inconvience that can "scare" or appear threatning. Nothing was stolen and no bribes were hinted at. Now, If I wanted to be a real tough-gy, I would say that Viagra was NOT illegal in Mexico - but shit. I had nothing on me accept $$$ and id anyway.
- Overall - I am insane. I keep going to TJ expecting a different result. I knew Fri/Sat's are way too crowded. But my schedual prevents a mid day run. I knew TLN's are hunderds of dollars in TJ.
TJ is like my very first electric guitar. It sucks overall, has broken parts, ugly, out of style. dents, worn out frets and cheap craftsmanship - but it was my FIRST love. My first "riffs" were created with it. I will never sell it. It is sentimental.
But SEA (South East Asia) / Angeles Cirty is where my mind is on right now. It's hard to "come back" to eating only appetizers and not getting a full course. AC is exciting and keeps me with a smile. I hardly smile much in TJ anymore. Well, I am insane, so I will do it again. Maybe TJ will excite me once more.

The cops stopped you - on foot. What a crock. Maybe the Mexicans will manage to kill the golden goose in TJ like they did in Nogales? It never really compared to SEA, but it used to be a fun place. It's pretty dead now, even on the weekends...

According to the posts made by others' on TJA - the Cops stoping people on foot as well as their new "check points" for cars is WAY UP! One poster is middle aged and clean cut - never been stopped by TJ Cops before, and was on Revolution carying a brown paper sack (mints and gum). This gave the cops an oportunity to do a shake-down.
Must say, that there seems to be an increase in their agression.
I know Explorer has said for years to not get dropped off at the Sentry Drop Off Point - guess it was my turn. Also, as long as you don't have any drugs or illegal items on you - they will let you go with just a pat down. But it is still potential deterant. \m/

Was he about 5'9", age mid 40s, eyeglasses, nearly bald, large round belly, very professional?
You should wear one of those "No Tengo Dinero" T-shirts sold in Revo, then perhaps the policia, rateros, hustlers, barkers, beggers, vendedores, chicle ladies, meseros, ficheras, ROBs, gordas, feas might leave you alone.

Did you count your change after the mordones patted you down? Every time they pat me down, I'm mysteriously missing an N$200 bill:P

Zoner.... Tazz Da Guy! I did not feel threatned; I was un-usually sober for pre midnight and drentched in rain.
DubemUnforgivem.... I had all my cash in my hand, they did "search for Viagra..." but nothing else was in my shorts. I am sure they assumed I was not a good target. I showed no fear at all and acted borred.
