I manage a pretty large company and have several hundred employees working for me. I have seen some pretty bone-headed and knuckle-headed mistakes over the years but have never gone off on anyone, as long as I knew that ignorance was pretty much the factor in their decision making process.
I really do not appreciate the reaction that I received from several of you and have decided to not post or partake in this board ever again.
I am absolutely sure no one here will care, but think about this the next time someone makes a MISTAKE, people make mistakes, and you were at one time or another a "newbie" that undoubtedly screwed-up once or twice in zone, however someone, possibly this or another board even, took you under their wing and showed you the ropes. I've never, ever flamed a poster, even when it was obvious that someone was maliciously sarcastic, or abusive. That's not my place, it's TJHOMBRE'S.

At the risk of pissing off my amigos Porker and Aardvark, I'm gonna stand up for Elfman here. He made a newbie-type mistake, and I agree that mistakes of this nature inflict tangible harm to the board. But from what I've gathered about this particular board personality, you guys are firing way too much heavy artillery given the situation.

What you guys probably don't realize is that Elfman is primarily NOT a TJ monger...he mainly participates in the "other location" sections of the board and has posted alot of valuable information about places like Nogales and Hermosillo. As an occasional Nogales monger myself, I know that the guys who are based over there do not necessarily follow the day to day TJ stuff on this board - they aren't always going to be conscious of some of the codes that the TJ boys follow. These codes are mainly irrelevant in places like Nogales where the whole social dynamic is vastly different and less complicated than in what I call "TJ Society"...much less monger and chica networking (and romance...real and illusory), and the majority of "sessions" are everything goes private "dances" in tiny cubicles in the back of strip clubs. Basic get your rocks off and get home scene.

Elfman has been a valuable and considerate participant who clearly has not followed the TJ section of this board too closely, or he would have had awareness of these hot button issues that don't get so much attention over in Nogales. Let's cut the guy a little slack. I think we can deal with the innocently clueless with lower caliber weaponry.

Erip, having done a search on Elfman's postings, you may be correct, although it is hard to believe that ANYONE who reads this site or Redsnake never saw any posts on this topic. It is pretty much THE hot button issue, followed closely by STD/BBBJ/BBF debates, and discussions of who is the real antichrist - Westfargo, Lakers, Wasabimas, or [insert name here]. Had Porker not already done so, I would have posted a similar response when I read Elfman's comment. The language would have been different, due solely to a difference in our styles, but I am certain that my dismay at reading the post was no less than Porker's. I suspect that Elfman's response was far more inflamatory than Porker's or it would not have been deleted. However, I also have no desire to see him leave the board, but that is his choice to make.

Your comment about it being near incredulous that a reader of the site wouldn't encounter the hotbutton issues makes perfect sense. I can't speak for Elfman obviously since I don't know him, but I do know some Nogales posters both personally and via Email, and you'd be surprised how low the TJ content on this board can get on their radar (and how many of the TJ regulars follow the Nogales posts?). I believe Porker himself has recognized the guy's innocent state of mind as demonstrated by the very fact that he posted openly about committing what is regarded around here as an egregious breach of protocol.

One of the persons I mentioned above when I said "discussions of who is the real antichrist" just e-mailed me a rant complaining that I was insulting him. While I suspect that the other two people mentioned are probably intelligent enough to see that this is not the case, let me state here for anyone else who has no sense of humor that it is not. It was simply an acknowledgement that one of the major threads that frequently pops up consists of people who are all pissed off about somebody's posting style and/or what they say.

It is interesting what you said about Nogales. But those clubs and chicks are a lot different. There are only a few high-volume, good-looking chicks, quickly servicing the patrons in booths at overly-inflated prices. I can see where they would want to use every avenue they could to market their wares, and insure that they were being marketed "properly".
