Generally it's better to use pesos in TJ. You'll definately get more BANG for your buck!

are there any atm machines in or around ZN? i know of a couple down there that dispense pesos, but are there any close to ZN that distribute US Dollars? thanks for your help. -bugattack

I believe banks with the letters HSBC dispense pesos in their atm's...at least I know of one in Zona Rio, so I would guess all their machines do.
Don't let anyone "help" you at the ATM.

I have never seen any bank atm in tijuana or mexico for that matter, that dispenses anything other than pesos. It would'nt be possible to dispense dollars because they would have to have to ability to adjust the rate of exchange for each atm on a daily basis if necessary.

I regualary took people to the HSBC formely Bital bank across from Plaza Rio for US dollars...I believe all there branches have this service.
