At the time, he caught a lot of flak, unfairly IMO, for spending essentially bar prices for a half hour with an SG. Recently, I've started doing half hour (and longer) sessions with SGs, and have noticed a significant improvement in the session over the normal 15 minute rush job. As to price, I've found that, generally, if you ask the SGs "cuanto cuesta?", they will just automatically double the fifteen minute rate. A few don't accept, but most do. In fact, I've been surprised how much they're willing to agree to (nudity, BJs, positions, finish), if you negotiate it up front. Not very romantic, I agree, but then, I don't intend to marry them.

I was there during Carnival (2/27) this year and last July 4th. Standard fare was 200 pesos, but the girl would stay for at least an hour and they are not clock watchers. The only areas were Plaza Zaragoza and that immediate area and the Malecon - the girls are not allowed to hit the streets until 8 PM, and when they hit the street they have to compete against the TV's that prowl that city.
