Thinking of heading down to the zona norte in T.J this coming weekend.
Anyone visited the zona norte in the last couple of days?
Wondering if any of the major bars like Adelitas, Las Chavelas or Hong Kong Bar are closed. It seems unlikely that they would but then again when is the last time that the San Diego area got hit with a fire this big? I'm wondering if the air pollution might force the temporary closure of some business in the zona norte.
I am coming down the 5 freeway and passing through Camp Pendeleton. Does anyone know if the 5 freeway has been closed coming from Orange County to the border? I'd hate to be stuck in traffic all day for a trip that would normally take not more than 3 hours.
I would appreciate a report from someone who has been in T.J. in the last couple of days about the general condition of traffic down the 5 freeway and in the zona norte.

5 Freeway is open. TJ is open, Hell event the taco carts didnt blink when it was windy as shit and fire ash was flying everywhere.

Traffic was fine on the 5 last night 10-26-7. Business has been down a bit in the zona due too the fires but nothing was ever closed.
