Shakira's Shimmy Inspires Sex-In Above Tropical Bar

Shakira's recent concert got me to thinking...first, that it would be fantastic to have an evening of her music, with young women gyrating to it, many of whom I stand a fair chance of being able to "go up with". That's been modified into, not just an evening of Shaki's musica, but the singing of latinas in general. Because I've enjoyed the get-togethers we board members have had at La Tropa Bar and Las Pulgas, I thought I'd invite The Board. Since we like eating, let's include that. So, here are some details:

When: Beginning about 7:30 pm, Thursday, December 19th, 2002, until closing, about 4+ am.

Where: Tropical Bar, on Calle Coahuila, just east of Avenida Niños Heroes, below the Hotel Rizo de Oro, diagonally across the street fromAdelita's Bar, Tijuana.

Food: Deluxe, bring an assigned dish(es), or pay $15 to eat; if you only want to get in on a lottery, put in $5. Of the $15, any money left over after reimbursing the food costs of those who bring food will go towards the lottery. Those coming well after 7:30 pm, with or without food, are quite welcome.

Those who want to only join us in gabbing, and goggling Las Señoritas, are also quite welcome.

Drinks at TB are about the same as at another place I've been to -I believe it goes by "AB", $2.75. For those not much into the drinking of alcohol (that includes me!), I suggest water, as orderers of soft drinksat this bar are served only a rinky-dink glass of drink.

The price for a young lady to join youin eating will be $7, again, in terms of food you bring, or actual dollars.

I am planning to bring:

Assignments for those who want to eat: My preference is for you to bring food. I believe many on this Board are not only "gourmands of Las Chicas," but of food, also. Here is an opportunity to show off your cooking skills. If you bring food, please bring at least $15 worth, and preferably $22 worth, so you can invite one of the young ladies to join you. That is, as perhaps might be priced, by a moderatly-priced but gourmet restaurant (a rarity, I realize). If you bring much more than $22 of food, I'll try to see that you are compensated, by those who do not bring food, but "only" pay.

To try to keep from having an inbalance of, say, desserts, here are the assignments, based on the first letter of your posting name (handle):

Letters from A through G, please bring: (soup) and/or {salad and bottle(s) of dressing}.

Letters H-Q: Appetizers and/or main dishes.

Letters R-Z: Desserts.
Please try to bring food in containers that can be thrown away, or at least, that will not break, if it gets knocked off a table. Please try to bring serving utensil(s), such as large spoon(s), for your dish(es) of food, if they will be needed. Please label, with your posting name, your serving utensils and containers you want back.

Tropical Bar's management assures me of lots of help with this: the sound volume at a "reasonable" volume, a large charcoal grill, a large microwave oven, and other details.

If anyone can tell me of an oven and stove top we can use, close to TB, it would be much appreciated. As it is, I plan to fix food at home and either cook it entirely at TB, or finish cooking it there, depending on the type of dish. For example, the scallops will probably be cooked over the coals, everything else, mostly or entirely at home.

If someone who lives in Tijuana or is driving across the border could bring some steak knives, that would also be appreciated. That is, if you try to walk with them across, you may well have them seized by our federales!

The disk jockey promises to try to play CD's that we bring in. Please try to keep them "in theme" - latinas, singing in English or Spanish. Please put your posting name and e-mail address on them. I will try to get the DJ to keep a list of CD's that are loaned to them.

Room rates at Hotel Rizo de Oro, over TB, are $12 for 30 minutes (generally, no tip is expected); $31 for all night (until 1 pm the next afternoon). I have spent the night there a few times in recent months. For a quiet room, try the top two floors. Room 23 has bad window blinds, a reminder to perhaps night shades and ear plugs. Check to see if the room has a few blankets, and 2+ clean towels. I have always liked the beds there.

Some of Tropical's babes are quite willing to spend the night at a different hotel.

As always, a fellow would be wise to invest 30 minutes upstairs, before making a final determination to do an all-nighter with a particular woman. When bargaining - DOWNSTAIRS - before that initial 30 minutes, you might get a discount, if you say you are interested in possibly going all night, after the initial 30 minutes. It is also best to bargain at that time, before going up, for what the price of an all-nighter will be, and for what you have in mind as to the duration of an "all-nighter."

I've typically paid $40 for 30 minutes to the women, but only $70-110 for all night (sometimes, 11 pm - 1 pm).

For those not familar with Tropical, it is what I call, "A $1 a dance bar;" that is, you can pay $1 to dance for 1 song with a woman. And, that is what I recommend you do; it is one of the things I like about this place. Not that I expecially liked dancing, when I first started going here. But, I believe one can use the experience dancing, to gage how the woman is likely to treat you, elsewhere - such as, upstairs. Is she apathetic, or lively? Patient, or pushy? It is not uncommon, for me to dance with three women, before "clicking".

The question is sometimes asked, "When is the best time to go to La Coahuila (El Zona Norte)?" As someone else said, ANYTIME is a good time. But based on logic and experience, I believe Thursdays are BEST. By then, women are well-rested from the previous weekend. There is a good ratio of hotties to guests. They are hungry for lovin'!

For those who feel Thursday is a hard night to go down there, please, reconsider! Before the wet t-shirt contest at Chicago Club in mid-September, I exercised rare (for me, at least) discipline, and went to bed early, for two nights in advance. I did a nearly all-nighter with a TB BABE (who "distracted" me from going to the contest!), and caught the first trolley north, at 4:39 am. I was FIRED UP at work that Friday! Just remember, to allow sufficient time to kiss your honey goodbye, and to wade thru the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

I was in Tropical on Thursday, 11/21, and there was a fair selection of young women. I'll try to get the management to ask the weekend workers to come in on Thursday night for our Celebracion del Señoritas! I would have prefered to make this the previous Thursday, for fear some of the finest fillies will have fled for home for the holidays. But, the assistant manager had scheduled himself for a vacation for the 12th, and asked that I make this for the 19th of December. At any rate, the women I've talked with tell me they are planning to vacation after Saturday, the 21st of December.

Please e-mail me if you think it is likely you will be coming. Let me know which category you are likely to do: bringing food, paying $15, paying $5 for the lottery, or just coming by to oggle and gab.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
