I believe if you were to ask her this question she would literally laugh in your face. She has one of the most visible spots in the zona. Working at El Fracaso she would never have acquired her extensive gringo clientele.

Hey, I didn't say that Mariana's boss wasn't lazy. Just because his preference is that she work in a visible area doesn't mean that he's actually going to check on her.

But when he does check on her, all hell breaks loose.

ReyTJ, the point is, at some time Marianna must feel the psychological strain of standing on a street selling her ass as opposed to being in a crowded bar where there are other chicas in the same line of work she could relate to.

The sad thing about this is, she's such a nice girl, pleasant personality and has a heart of gold. And what's even more fucked up, is I know she'll be out there on Christmas Day again, like she was this time last year. It breaks my heart to see this, as I know she could make a wonderful loyal wife for some lonely Gringo like me.

Any sightings recently of Ms. "M?" I had a phone call from someone who asked me to chieck this link and see if anyone had reported any sightings of her.

I vaguely recall someone saying that she took a second vacation in November. She may not be back yet.

I certainly didn't see her prior to XMas.

She hadn't come back as of New Year's Day and Marisol isn't convinced she will.

Marisol ain't exactly a font of knowledge about Mariana.

Marisol looks kind worn, very sweet and charming, but has that "street sense' look about her. But back to Marrianne, I hear she put on a few pounds. (and I've heard that from more than one person)

How can your friends know that Miss M has gained weight if she hasn't been working most of the last five months?

According to some, she has been seen periodically. It's strange, one day someone see her, then she's gone for quite lterally weeks at a time. The she'll reappear, work for a few days and disappear again.

Now, I personally haven't seen her in a number of weeks, but the last time I saw her, she looked about the same. I believe she's probably gearing up for retirement as her heart really isn't into her work anymore. Sure, I'm assuming she's still GFE material, but even she at some point she herself must realize the older she gets the more competition is going to force her to take a back seat to her chosen profession.

That doesn't seem like a good way to make money, since much of her business was regular clients. If they can't find her, they will go somewhere else, and she will be stuck doing the 100 peso shuffle.

Yeah, that's funny. Here's something worth posting on this thread. Remember my buddy whom I used to post about-the TJ trip buddy of mine who fell head over heels in love with Marrianne? (Epi, you know who I mean, you met him a few times) Well, guess what? I was at a certain Starbucks in Los Angeles the other day, and who should park his car a few feet away from me?

Yes, my (ex) TJ trip buddy. We got our coffee and spoke outside quietly so no one could hear us. He asked me if I still go to TJ. I told him, "occasionally." His other follow-up question was about Ms. M's whereabouts and if there's been any sightings of her recently.

I told him I haven't seen her in weeks and weeks, but not to worry, I'm sure she's making some old Gringo very happy somewhere by now.

He said he'd heard somewhere that she got married and moved to the US...so who knows? Are you sure of this Explorer?

She is not in the USA.

But what I'm asking is, is she retired from the "biz" and how do you know for certain? (I'm not asking you to reveal your sources, I just want to differentiate truth from rumor on the boards)

She is indeed retired, and does not plan to return. However, I would not be surprised to see her again by year's end.

My ex-TJ trip buddy will be heartbroken when I break the news. I'll never know why she finally turned her back on such an illustrious career!

Your ex-TJ trip buddy was always heart broken, but he gets over it. Anyway, Miss M will likely return some day.

I'm sure she will and I'm sure he will also. I say "he will also" because right now, he's living happily ever after with an ex-Las Chavelas chica in the USA, but that's another story for another thread.

A friend of a friend of another friend called me tonight. He asked if I'd check the Marianna thread and see if there's been any Ms.M sightings.

Was in TJ the other night, saw her side kick Marisol, but I didn't bother asking the whereabouts of Ms. M. as I assume Marisol isn't always truthful.

Can you dig up any info, as Marianne still has a fan base following who still asks about her (I won't say who)

I asked Marisol the other day, and got a blank stare. The only thing she claimed that she knew is that Mariana went back home.

Well, well, well, guess what? No, she's not back, but her favorite client, my ex-trip buddy "David" got a phone call from Ms. M. about four days ago.

He gave her my numbers and I called her and left a message. Last night she called me at home and told me the following:
1) She's much happier now.
2) She's completely out of the biz
3) No, she's not married.
4) She's living in Mexico City and working for probably below minimum wage at some convenient store, trying to make ends meet by also supporting her daughter.

I was intrigued by her phone call, as she's probably the nicest person I've ever met in the Zona. Her personality and character is always one of sincerity and kindness.

Even though she admitted she's not making the money she once was, she never once asked me for any money, unlike some other hookers I could mention.

Stay tuned, I'll be calling Ms. M. again in the very near future.

That's great news about her finding that she can be happy while poor. I completely agree with your description of her character - you call her the "nicest" person - I always used to tell her she was the finest human on the planet and she may be.

I hope she does not come back to TJ.
