Does anyone remember the Blue Fox.

Gee, in those days you got $5 BBBJ's, BBFS for $25, and if you were lucky, you did not catch anything. I know, I was paying too much for BBFS.

On my firt trip, I was 18, parked at the border and walked across, and had to prove to the San Diego PD that I was over 18 to cross the border.

It only took 20 minutes to walk downtown. My first and favorite place was the Caliente Club,

Time to grow up and get real. I sure hope Viagra works next year.

As for the Blue Fox, it was always too crowded to get in because everyone wanted to see the chica with the mule, I always wondered where they kept the mule between shows.

TJ is just not the same place anymore. Guess I am just a HAS BEEN.

By the way, how come there is not a section with reviews of the chicas from the Caliente Club?

damn, you must be as old as dirt, just like all the roads were. Yes, I remember the Blue Fox, but I was too young to get in. That donkey show was legendary!! Remember how the guys would take their cars there [TJ] to get them 'tuck and rolled'......and you had to keep an eye on them to make sure they stuffed the seats properly. It was very different then.

Never did the tuck & roll thing. Did get the holes in the 58 VW seats fixed once for $5.

One time in the Caliente club, I was sitting next to the stage, and the dancer grabbed my glasses and put them in her vagina. Was not sure if I would go blind after that, or not.

Lost that in TJ also.

Do not live in San Diego now, but went to SDSU. I was quite possible then to leave the dorm at 7 PM, drive to the border, park, walk downtown, have some drinks, see shows, walk back to the border, and drive back to the dorm and be at the dorm by 11 PM.

Most of the bars were on Revolucion. Also, you did not want to go into the north part of the city then.

No lines at the border then.

Back then (the good old days),18 year old girls in the dorm used to love to go down to TJ and drink and dance, My hunch is that they still like it, but a lot harder to cross and get back now.

Just thought some people might like memory lane.

to recap: lived in SAN [my favorite US city], went to SDSU [hot coeds], TJ literally right down the street for drinking & 'other activities', Rosarito beach for cheap margaritas & lobster, Blacks Beach[nude beach], Old Town and Balboa Park for hanging out, and a myriad of other places. You certainly have some wonderful memories. I did all of that too, except I drove down from SBDNO where I lived. Abalone could be found everywhere, and it was cheap, even in La Jolla. I can't imagine a better place to grow up than Southern Calif. Those truly were the days.

Went to Arrowview JHS, moved after 9th grade and went to Pacific High. Therefore, because of my 3 yrs at Arrowview, I knew most of the guys/girls at 'Berdoo' due to the change, so had a lot of friends at both schools. One of my buds went on to become Mayor - lol
