Hey team,
I'm planning my first trip to AC and had a few questions. I've scoured the web but haven't found many answers about this.
I'm a fairly young guy at 23 and was wondering how I would fair on the grounds. Does it really make a difference in terms of age? Will I be "out mongered"? I'm planning on going there this October by myself and was wondering if this description spells disaster based on the information.
Thanks for your help!
By Hot4ass2 on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 01:17 am: Edit |
The only 23 year olds in AC are girls and lady boys. Which are you? Wait until you are 50 so you will blend in. Just kidding. Go for it.
By Paulyvegas on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 01:25 am: Edit |
I'm guessing at 23 you don't have a massive gut yet. That's a plus one for you. Do you have enough cash to not be a Cheap Charlie? That's plus two for you.
How exactly can you be "out-mongered" anyway?
It's point and click here, man. That's the beauty of it. Get your ass onto Fields, walk left or right, and let it happen to you.

Just budget wise, on a two week trip, would $1000.00US be killin it? Under/Over what that length of trip should be for hotel/food/spending cash..
By I_am_sancho on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 05:32 am: Edit |
I stay pretty cheap in AC by CH standards. I average about $150 a day. (hotel and food included) Many guys here would spend more than twice that. So in my book closer to $2000 for 2 weeks is a more realistic low end. It can be done for less but you would be cutting some serious corners. That said, if I were 23 again and only had $1000, two weeks, and a plane ticket. I would still defiantly be on the next plane out.
By Tickler on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 05:59 am: Edit |
Are you fixed on the date your traveling there?
I will be flying into AC on the 16th of Sep.
By Lovingmarvin on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 06:54 am: Edit |
1000/14 = $71USD a day? I hope that is not inclusive with your hotel. I guess it is dooable, but certainly the Cheap Charlie way :-) You might even hook into a cutie that will hang with you for a few days cutting expenses even further. "Out mongered" due to age? Just the opposite, I would think being young would be an advantage with landing a good one that might actually be attracted to you versus just the $$$.
By Gggmaddux on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 07:44 am: Edit |
It's so great to see other young guys that are getting into the hobby.... I started at sixteen and haven't looked back. From what I have seen on the ground it actually can be more difficult for the younger guys is several areas. One being that young guys think they don't have to play by the same mongering rules that their older predecessors play by. Not paying, paying less than low market rate under the rationale that I'm young she's enjoying this and should be happy she landed a young guy like me is not mongering it's dating. Second most younger guys don't have their finances and strong leadership in order to be mongering hence the reason why so manny younger guys including myself before think that the key to winning with women is pleasing whereas expierenced guys know it's about leading. Also younger guys need to be more honest with what they want now do I want to have a girlfriend for most of my trip or just bonk different girls every night. Think manny young USA guys think that they want different chica every night because they are so deprived here in the states but may discover with so much availability the novelty runs out quick and may opt to get tied down with just one or two chic as for the long term because it is more cost effective, less hassle.
By Lovingmarvin on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 11:50 am: Edit |
Just a warning to you younger guys....once you get started it is the most addicting hobby you can have :-) I have a feeling once he goes to AC for the first time, he will be hooked for life.....planning his next trip before he even returns. On the flipside, this lifestyle can certainly have a huge downside from a financial perspective.
I do agree with the assessment above...but I think all of us, regardless of age, at times angle for the "mongering dating", since that can be of financial benefit and also at times provide better servicing on the part of the girl.
As far as young versus old? In some venues, all the girls care about are $$$....if you are young and have no money, they won't give you the time of day. I used to see this all the time in Help... no money, no honey no matter how young and how good looking you are. In the termas - the same thing...it all boils down to money = service.
Personally, I have seen no difference in how girls treat me as I have aged since starting this more then a decade ago. Actually, as indicated by the previous poster, as I got more financially comfortable over time (and age) my opportunities have really multiplied.
By Gggmaddux on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 04:58 pm: Edit |
Mongering is an ASSET in my book NOT a LIABILITY.
Mongering allows me to focus and in the driving force behind my hard work to aqquire more assets and enter into to new business ventures.
Sure money exchanges hands but much like having a great lawyer or accountant who is high priced. But what is save and make is usually 10 fold to infinite return.,, priceless. Needless to say assemble a great team and pay them well in ALL areas of life.
But bottom line for the younger guys including myself. Get your finances in order first before hobbling or at least make it the reason to get your finances in order. All the best with the trip and remember you are calling the shots and practice saying NO.
By Intoit86 on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 11:41 pm: Edit |
Saying no.. thats what I hear is a key skill from reading a few guides and trip reports. I'm thinking about cutting it down to about 8 to 10 days from 14.. Def have finances in order for sure. Figured the longer the trip would cut out the two or three days of jet lag I may experience.. Tickler, its a bit flexible. Could def do a Sept trip with someone whose been there before to prevente from getting a bit hammed and wind up $400 lighter (the joys of the strip club when 18). Send me a PM with the details of your trip and I'll see about vaca from work.
Is it worth staying at a little more pricey hotel or does it really matter? I'd be traveling with a few electronic gadgets to keep the hombres updated so safety would be key. How about cash? I hear its king over there but would I exchange most of it into US (CAD to USD) or into pesos? What a dec amount to carry around during the day?

I am 36 and being young is an advantage i think, especially if you want to play it loverboy (to save cash...). BUT avoid falling in love otherwise you will end up looking for the nearest Western Union office... And believe me, Pilipina's are really easy to fall in love with, and they know how to catch you.
There is plenty of young guys in there you can chill with.
I bring a big stash of US Cash with me when i go there, you buy pesos in AC (Norma's).
AC can be expensive, barhopping all day is not cheap. I spend around 200 a day. I like Pacific Breeze Hotel.
Have fun cherry boy !!! LOL.
Zen.
By Snooky on Friday, July 23, 2010 - 05:08 pm: Edit |
I ususally stay at the Pacific Breeze basically for convenient access to Field Avenue and far enough away from Field Avenue to be a little quiet. I would never exchange money at the hotel as they are usually a full piso or more lower than anyone else. But a great hotel for the price.
I've been going to AC for years and everyone talks up Norma's. What is the difference between her rate and others? IMO unnless it is a .5 piso difference I sure as hell aint waisting my time walking to wherever her place is. I cash about $200-$400 a day across the street form the jersey shop on fields just past dirty duck and they seem to be $.1-.2 piso higher than most. Beggars are the only issue.
I never cash too much on a given day especially with the fluctuation from day to day there on the rates. I was there in May and the exchange rate floated from 44.5-1 to 46.1-1. What a waste it would have been if I bought $3KUSD in pisos on the first day.

Sweet. Thanks for the help fellas. I figure $2500 should do it. $1264 for the flight and the rest for spending on an 8 day journey. Was thinking the Oasis Hotel or maybe the Orchid Resort (for a bit extra) may be a good bet. Pacific Breeze seems like a dec place as well.
Zen, mentioned other young guys were there? I figured I would be a minority in terms of age under 30 in that place. Must be worth it for sure. Figured it would be a good place to go to clear my head for a week or so and relax.
By Snooky on Saturday, July 24, 2010 - 12:04 pm: Edit |
They just had a murder @ Oasis in the last month plus it is far off the beaten path from Field Ave. Orchid isn't that nice unless you are talking about the Wild Orchid and then it is $100+ a night.
If my math is right your bankroll for thr trip may be a little light. This is using your estimate of having $1236 for spending.
Below are my lists of basics for a trip
Travel to and from Manila $120
Return airport tax $17
Pacific Breeze 8 nights $384
Food - $160 (just you, if you bring a girl to meals you might as well triple that number as they always order the most expensive things on the menu and who knows what they'll eat and drink out of your in room fridge)
8 barfines $240
assorted tips $40
That leaves under $300 for barhopping/lady drinks, anything else.
My working number is $300 a day excluding air fare but I have done it is cheap as $180 a day.

I'd give you my budget figures but you would not like them !!
As others have said there are more and more younger guys showing up in AC . Not just the military when on leave but dedicated mongers. The girls tell us older guys they do not like young guys cause they are big butterflies. Hard to believe them however when big screams arise from the stage whenever a young gwapo or two walk in the door.
If you find a girl who does not want money for sex - be very careful. It will likely cost you 10 times as much eventually.
By Hot4ass2 on Saturday, July 24, 2010 - 02:38 pm: Edit |
There are many ways to economize on Snooky's numbers.
First of all consider what time you will arrive in Manila. I got there about 5 PM on Friday and Pacific Breeze had car waiting for me. It took over two hours to clear the smoggy Manila traffic jam and about five hours until I was settled into Angeles City hotel room. This AC trip is especially miserable after 22 hours of air travel and the lunatic driver did not help matters. Consider staying near Manila airport on your first night to beat the jet lag and on your last night so you are not stuck in traffic when your plane departs. You can monger in Manila too.
Consider www.swaggy.com for airport pickup to nearby hotel and next day bus ride to Angeles City (www.swaggy.com/index-bus-service.php) for 600php each way. A nice air conditioned bus and patient driver makes this trip far more pleasant than other options. BTW: I am not affiliated with Swagman in any way. It is just something I learned about during my last trip.
You can eat cheaper than $20 per day if you only short time girls and buy microwavable groceries at Clark Super Mall. However, I enjoy dining with my lady and $60 covers that. A foam cooler, locally purchased beverages and ice will cut down on mini-bar expenses. Fortunately, mini-bars are not huge rip-off like US hotels.
Pacific Breeze was great hotel, but you can certainly save US$20 per day at other satisfactory hotels in the area. Just reserve two nights ahead of time and decide what you want to do after you hit the ground. A side trip to Subic Bay provides additional hotel options and the swaggy bus is great way to do that too. Perhaps you should reserve Central Park or Clarkton and consider upgrading after you get there.
Your budget may require a night or two without a long time lady. That may be blasphemy on this site, but I need a little extra sleep every third night.
Finally, make sure you contact your bank before leaving USA and have debit and credit cards authorized for Philippines. It is easy to get pesos from ATM at favorable exchange rate and less hassle than cashing traveler checks. In a panic you can send money to yourself via XOOM, so sign up before you travel.
Since you are a youngster, you may be a bit less affected by jet lag and may be inclined to more bar fines to satisfy libido.
Also check out www.margarita-station.com for a wealth of local information that seems pretty much up to date. Good luck!!
By Zenrico on Saturday, July 24, 2010 - 05:47 pm: Edit |
You will be surprised how many young guys are hanging around in AC. It is a minority yes, but quite a bunch. Oh one thing about Pilipina, they lie all the time. Just get used to it and do the same !
I recommend that you read Blazer's guide.
Zen.

Treat the girls nicely. Don't fall in LOVE. Don't get possessive, there are plenty of girls available. No need to start any fights over. Use common sense dealing with the girls. Try not to do any DRUGS and you'd stay out of most trouble.

Hot4ass2 - Not to get into a war of words or ideas. Sure there are always ways to economize. I now fly straight into Clark field (same price as going to Manila) via Asiana and that saves me headaches as well as $120 round trip but that was after many years flying into Manila. I met the owner of a bar in AC who is a pilot for a major airline and he flies in and out of the Philippines frequently and takes the victory liner in and out of Manila and Dau for like P$180 each way but he's been doing it for years.
It's obvious Intoit86 hasn't really done any research or he would have known the minimal basic costs and known that Oasis and Wild Orchid would have blown his budget to smitherines with no money for anything after that. Maybe the best idea is for him to read Blazers guide and although prices are a little dated he'd get a little better idea of what is involved.
Why fly 18,000 miles round trip to be on a small budget on the other end.
By Intoit86 on Saturday, July 24, 2010 - 07:50 pm: Edit |
I'll probably be able to play it by ear. Took a read through Blazer's guide again and got a dec picture of what it would entail. Def like the idea of going for a less expensive hotel then upgrading if I see fit. A pool would be a plus tho. I have a feeling I'll be doing $20 a day on food most likely from a McD's. I'll lie to the girl by saying that in Canada, we need to eat bacon with every meal.
So what I'm gathering is:
1. Be flexible on budget, anticipate on maybe going over.
2. Don't fall in love.
3. Hook up with one girl for a day or two if I'm looking to save a bit of coin.
4. Call the bank and inform them I'm going over seas.
5. Don't stay at the murder hotel.
Got it.

And as always it's your money and it's your fantasy so don't be afraid to go with what make you happy and satisfied sometimes you don't know what that is until you really fuck things up a bit... Think Merlin said it best on his pad it's not how manny mistakes you avoid it how quickly you recover from them while pissing off the least amount of people.
So plans and itineraries are great... But remember when your on the ground things can be much different so know when you need to just put on the sunglasses and just say fuck it. Let's see how much I can really screw this up.
I would still rather do a new destination cheap then not at all.

What was this "Murder at the Oasis" about? I do not recognize that hotel name. Where is it.
I stayed in four hotels during my time in Angeles City: Condotel 950 (awful), Royal Amsterdam (great), Pacific Breeze (good) & and Wild Orchid (very good). Also checked out the public areas of many other hotels. There are options in every price range.
Stayed at Subic Bay Wild Orchid too (very good).

Snooky,
Flying directly to Clark is excellent idea when that option is readily available. Where do you transfer? I flew Clark to Bangkok and really appreciated the convenience.
I was also investigating Victory Liner and Phillipines Rabbit yesterday in preparation for my September trip. Primarily focusing on routes to Alaminos City and Bagiou and some southern provinces.
Manila overnights work into my plans this time because I know two hotties there, will visit Mall of Asia and do other tourist things.
My plans are for 24 nights in Phils with a couple 4 night segments in Angeles City. Borocay, Palawan, Baugio, Alaminos City and Bicoy are on my list as other destinations.

There has been a rash of murders in AC lately the one from Oasis was on the 12th. Oasis is a nice hotel around the corner from Dr. Guzman's office. http://www.oasishotel.com.ph/
5 people were murdered the other day in Hensonville Subdivision, another 2 in Sta Maria Subdivision. All expats (w/ girlfriends, wives or domestic workers also murdered). It looks like they have one suspect for all 9 murders.

What is your opinion on the American CDC recommendation of 100 mg DoxyCycline daily to prevent malaria?
I took that on my trip without any noticable reaction. Probably not necessary for AC or Manila, but maybe good idea in the provinces.

About .5 miles from the action down Field Avenue

Right in the heart of Field Ave. Yeah, they have rooms. I eat there a lot but never stayed. I did get a tour of the new higher end room with stripper pole in it. Probably a little high priced for that room and probabaly booked all the time. May be a little loud especially over Vodoo

I dont believe you need an expensive hotel or pool. Some places offer a jacuzzi, but the jacuzzis you probably wont use and are nasty anyway. If I was 23 again, then all my energy would be focused back up in the bedroom not down at a pool.
So here is what I would do:
Swiss Chalet - Rooms are soundproofed with double pane glass, owner is an engineer so everything works, rooms not as impressive as other options but everything works and its clean, a short walk to all of the action.
http://www.swisschaletph.com/en/index.htm
Get the $36 per night room. Thats all you need. As for the food. Stay at the Swiss Chalet Restaurant. If you eat 3 hearty meals a day at the restaurant, probably will cost you about $20. Much less if you go shopping around or eat less. For example, Breakfast can be found for 210 pesos, Spaghetti for lunch 310 pesons and round it out with Bistik Tagalog for 315 pesos. These are hotel prices and there are food places where you can find it much cheaper.
So we have hotel and food coming in at $660 for 10 days.
Want to go super budget? $30 room at the Hotel Royal Amsterdam. I wouldnt reccomend that economy room though. Call and ask questions before you book. They will be upfront with you about the noise levels and they do speak English.
The ladies will probably be about $50 a night assuming you give them a good tip, buy a few drinks and maybe a meal. Lets say you go wild and have 3 women per day. The women will go all night long. They usually wont leave early. You will probably run out of energy so you might go with less women per day.
$150X10= $1500
Room&Food= $660
$2160 for 10 days.
Are you looking to get really super cheap? Then try the hotels off of the strip like the Ponderosa which has rooms starting at $19 per night!
http://www.hotelsangeles.com
Lets say you went supercheap.
$20 per night X 10= $200
Food X 2 meals per day eating only breakfast or filipino food or just spaghetti= $70
Lets say you didnt buy anything for the ladies and just gave them the tip and only went with 2 ladies per day= $740
Total = $1010 or half of the original posted budget
You could even stay for 20 days for the same price of 10 days if you followed my cheap charlie budget. Have one woman in the afternoon, then another at night. Sleep the rest of the time.
Keep in mind. A lot of the guys on here are over 40 and have six figure occupations where they can afford to blast away several grand on a trip. You are just 23 years old and will probably want to make a few more trips after this one. Therefore, I would carefully research the cheapest options. When you get there, be a cheap charlie. If you are not a cheap charlie, then you may not be afford another trip...
Oh yeah, if you want to stay for a long time...say 30 days. Call the hotel directly and try to negotiate for a long term stay. Sometimes these hotels will give you a discount, but only if you call and try to negotiate. I negotiated 10% off of my stay at a certain hotel less then the internet rates.

Here is another tip. Do not buy anything from the mini-bar. Go to the 7-11 and get all the stuff you need. Its a lot cheaper. Also buy chips and stuff for the ladies there. The mini-bar tab is oftentimes a percentage of the hotel tab and the numbers add up very quickly over time.
You can save a lot on the fare to Angeles by using the bus. The safest arrangement is to use a driver from the hotel, but that will run you $60 one-way at least. The bus will cost about 3-4 dollars one way. So that will be enough money saved to fuck a few more ladies and maybe eat a little more hearty. Here is a link that will tell you more about the buses:
http://www.margarita-station.com/angeles.html
Next, only take ONE carry-on luggage. Here is what you take:
http://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/mother-lode-tls-weekender-convertible/143101?productid=1370034
Develop an attitude of taking less. There are laundries there. Take no more then 4 pairs of clothes. If all your stuff needs more then what can fit in the above bag, then dont take it.
The more you take, the less mobile you are and more of a target for thieves.
Develop the attitude that if you do not spend the least amount possible then you probably wont go back again.

The advice from Portage is probably the most sound and pertinent yet.
I would add in, pull allot of short times with Santos/Raymond St ladies. .At about $15 per for 2 hours, it saves allot over paying $40 or so for each of your 3 ladies a day.
As for the bus, that is a no-brainer to save $100. In Manila take the airport meter taxi to "5 Star bus terminal in Pasay" Should be about 170-180 on the meter. Zero hassle. Just board the fullest bus and ask the driver, conductor or cute female passenger if that is a bus that goes to "Dau" 95% chance the first bus you see goes to Dau. Just have a seat in the bus. AFTER the bus leaves, the conductor will come around and issue you a ticket/collect money. ~120 Piso. On arrival in Dau just head for the nearest trike and say what hotel you are staying in and settle on a price. The correct local price is 60 Piso. Gringo ripoff rate with no negotiation is 100 Piso which is ok if you are tired and don't feel like arguing over 85 cents. So 420 Piso, airport to hotel vs 2600 Piso or so in a taxi. $50 net savings each way. $100 total saved on the trip.

As I browse through the hotel list on hotelsangeles.com, I see quite a few I didnt consider before, but with the economy the way it is I am considering them now. Does anyone know of a decent $20 a night hotel that isnt too far from fields?
The PJ looks pretty good for just a 1000 pesos a night. Interesting how they have a short time room which I saw quite frequently in Thailand, but I never saw that in Angeles.
http://www.hotelsangeles.com/pjramada.php
Here is one for 1290 a night:
http://www.sunsetgarden.com/sunset_eng/index_rooms.html
Valentinos looks interesting
http://www.hotelsangeles.com/valentinos.php
The 950 at 1395 a night right on fields. This looks like its one hell of a deal. All new building and everything new inside.
http://www.margarita-station.com/hotels/950.html
The Medgar Apartelle at 900 pesos per night if you stay weekly. Thats 19 dollars per night!
http://medgarinac.com/index.html
Le Mirage at 1395 pesos a night
http://pashagroup.ph/?page_id=70
New Fiesta
1000 pesos a night
http://www.margarita-station.com/hotels/fiesta.html
Bluefields, under 20 bucks a night
http://www.bluefieldshotel.com/?page=rates
Hotel Marquis under 20 bucks a night
http://www.hotelmarquis.net/prices/
Wow the list is endless. There are plenty of half decent rooms for under 20 a night. Believe me, my next trip to Angeles City will not be at the Oasis or the Wild Orchid, but in one of these hotels no one has ever heard of before for under 20. I would love it when it comes time to pay the bill at the end and I just hand the guy 200 for his trouble.
I was thinking the absolute cheapest way to eat is at the 7-11 buying those microwave dishes. You could probably spend no more then 200 pesos and feed yourself that way.
I think anyone can make the trip as cheap as they want. There are air conditioned rooms with the same quality as an upscale Motel 6 under 20 bucks. If someone was looking at them though I would make sure to check to see how far they are from the bars. Call up and ask or send an email if you are unsure. I looked up where the Medgar Apartelle is and you would definately have to trike it up to fields or get some exercise walking, but the 950 seems all new and right up on fields at 30 per night. The Pasha group looks like a deal too.

Sorry for adding so much to the thread, but I just read it again and saw that he got airfare for $1348. I ran two searches on Travelocity for LAX and JFK. Travelocity has a feature on their site where you can search 9 other sites at once such as cheapo air. I found for LAX it came to $650 and for JFK $950.
So lets say the guy lives in Maryland or Arizona and can't get to these major airports for the cheap rate. Now what? Easy, take the Greyhound bus for $25. A 300 mile trip on the Greyhound is about that much and then there is the Amtrak which is usually a little bit more expensive. The last resort is Southwest with $100 airfares for a small trip OR simply drive your car there and park it in the long term parking for like 10 bucks a day. There is Megabus or the BoltBus in the tri-state area which offers fares for $15 from DC to NYC.
One other thing is the trip is too short. You never go on a trip to Angeles unless its at least 2 weeks. The reasoning behind this will become more apparent when you stay there. I once stayed there for 1 week and flew back and was banging my head against the wall. Way too short.
So here would be what I would spend for 2 weeks of fun assuming 2.5 ladies per day (I might take 3 women on one day) with a 500 peso tip, 2 meals for no more then 225 pesos per, airfare, and other expenses:
Ladies=14X2.5X41= $1435 (35 ladies total)
Hotel= $20X14= $280
To/From Airport on the bus= $10
Airfare= $875
Misc expenses such as Greyhound to the airport, trikes, buying food while traveling, etc.= $150
$2750 for the entire trip including airfare or $200 per day
One thing I am certain about is no one can sustain 2-3 young women per day for 14 days even a young guy in shape. That is going to be several hours of sex per day for 14 days straight with women between 18-25 year old age range. So a more realistic expense would be about a grand for two weeks of ladies.
Select carefully and make sure the woman is really into the situation otherwise you might have a runner. If someone leaves early then dont give them a tip. Always ask how long they will stay and then politely inform them that if they leave earlier then discussed there will be no tip.
Dont take any electronic gadgetry like a laptop. Dont need it unless you are doing business. There are plenty of internet cafes that charge a modest sum and if you are surfing the internet while there then you are doing something wrong. The more stuff you bring, the more of a target you make yourself in a 3rd world country. People have gotten robbed in the Phils and even some notable members on this board. Everyone knows each other in Angeles, so if one person sees you sporting your newest HP laptop or netbook, then chances are someone might try to take it from you at some point. AC seems safe, but there are some dark corners.
Take one large carry-on bag only filled with essentials. If you need more then 3000 cubic inches, then you are taking way too much. In regards to toothpaste, etc. Buy all of the stuff there at the 7-11. Only take the condoms and other absolutely neccasary items.

Awesome. Thanks for doing up the research. We should rename this thread "Young Cherry Boy's Guide to Planning his AC Trip."
Its a weird balance.. part of me has the cash to have a great time, the other part of me is saying to take er easy and not go overboard... Tough call on whether or not I want to go cheapo. I suppose its one of those things you decide depending on how much fun you're having.
By Gurock1 on Thursday, July 29, 2010 - 06:28 am: Edit |
You have to decide what's good for you. I can't spend all my time screwing, not that it doesn't sound good. So for me a little better room, a pool, and a little of amenities has value. I compromise with Pacific Breeze. $55.00 for one of their regular rooms particularly in the main building near the pool is worth it. They have the best service and best run place. Also that their location is right on Santos, across from short time bars and a one minute walk to the center of Fields Avenue.
There is much controversy over the car at the airport or the bus. I'm a fan of the car. I know it's a big waste of money, but the trip is grueling to get from USA to PI and I want a driver to put my bags in the car at the airport and take me to the hotel door. It's a question of what luxury are you willing to pay for. Kind of like I would not take Greyhound across the USA but some guys would.
Keep in mind that these girls are assassins at getting you to buy drinks and since you can't screw every minute you will end up spending time in bars buying drinks and having the party. Portege's budget sounds good, but to have a good time you will probably exceed this budget.
My advice is to go hoping to live on such a small budget, but planing on having more spending money. Every trip I've taken has ended up with a $200.00 to $250.00 a day budget between everything, hotel, food, drinks, girls and misc.
Also while I agree that traveling light is a bonus, there are certain things that I feel I don't want to live without. My own personals, deodorant, razors, comb, brush, toothpaste extra brushes, and cologne. I also want my netbook, cameras, MP3s, cell phone, books for reading during off boring times including flight time (except now I can have the books on my cell phone), toys for the girls to play with.
To each their own, and I just want you to see that there are different points of view to a trip.
If you want to see Portege's view of travel and how it works out read all the Portege stuff about his trip to Pattaya, Thailand.

I'd be down for a bit of sightseeing as well aside from the main purpose of the trip. The place def has to have some cultural worth. I have this weird museum fetish.. seeing local relics of what supposedly has some sentimental value.
Netbook, cell phone and a camera is a must, I agree.
My company has done well so far this year so here's to hoping for a bigger bonus to have extra fun.
By Portege on Thursday, July 29, 2010 - 11:13 pm: Edit |
Angeles City has absolutely NO cultural worth. There is green coolant flowing down the streets, a repugnant smell and the place looks/feels like a small poor village in Mexico. The inhabitants of the place are all trying to get out and seem demoralized. In fact, I had to leave my luggage outside for 3 days to get rid of the smell. Everything I brought had that awful smell in it.
Everyone who has visited Angeles a number of times has developed a thick skin and able to tolerate the obvious poverty. You see people living in the streets, the women usually live in these group houses/apts with bunk-beds stacked everywhere, the women have some of the hardest luck stories you have ever heard in your life, etc. Actually, those women live a good life in that home when compared to the folks living on the street or in the abandoned train car. There will be some shocking sites and stories on your visit to the Phils.
The majority of the time will be spent in the hotel room. When you put one foot outside of the hotel, you will be approached aggressively by beggars, street children, viagra salesmen and all kinds of vendors with every piece of junk you can imagine. The street children will sometimes grab you and not let go until you enter the hotel. The other vendors wont grab you, but they wont stop hassling you until you are in the bar or hotel. There are some vendors that are allowed in the bars like the camera guy, the peanut salesman or the flower woman and they will approach you a number of the times while you are in the bar.
I would not try to go beyond Fields Avenue on foot because either you will get mugged or a vehicle will hit you. Notice how the banks and anyplace that has money (even the toll booths on the highway) have men with shotguns guarding them. They are guarded by these men for a reason. I dont know the whole story, but one guy on here...I think it was Epi...he was robbed there. I dont know the details.
Do not walk around with your netbook or camera around your neck. Do not flash cash. Keep everything tucked away and hidden. Dont talk about how well you are doing at work or even admit that you are employed. Dont talk about bonuses or what you have back home. Foreigners do get kidnapped and you dont want to act like you have something. Dress in only stuff you can find at Walmart. Cheap clothing like a t-shirt and jeans or better yet cheap cargo shorts. Dont wear a watch.
Angeles City is for one and one thing only and that is finding women to fuck on the cheap in volume. You will be pressed to find anything more then that. I have never had a problem in Angeles City...mainly because I never left Fields Avenue and the entire trip was spent in the bars or the room with a few trips to the local mall in the daytime (again witness the shotgun wielding guards at the mall).
I dont believe you will have any problems, but always remember what you have in your wallet is about a months pay to some of them. Kidnappings and robberies due frequently occur in the Phils. For example, this man was kidnapped not too long ago. It occurred much further south in Mindanao, but the fact is it still occurred in that country and shows what could happen if you wonder into the wrong areas.
http://zamboangajournal.blogspot.com/2010/04/swiss-man-kidnapped-in-zamboanga-city.html
I felt really safe in Thailand, but Angeles City is a whole other affair. I wouldnt approach Angeles City the same way as Thailand. Recently, there has been some trouble in the malls in Makati and other places so I would beware and use common street smarts.

AC is a big shit hole....but the girls are wonderful, much better service for the most part then in Thailand (also younger....plenty of 30+ women in Thailand, versus the average age being 18-24 in AC.
A couple of times I have read a recommendation of stays of no shorter then 2 weeks - I tend to disagree. One week is more then enough, unless you want to be bored out of your mind. AC is awesome - in short doses repeated multiple times over the year. Keeping in mind that the only thing there is to do is fucking, sleeping, drinking & bar hoping....multipled by X days. The fucking is great, but there are 24 hours in a day - The day activities are extremely limited.
The only thing that would want me to extend my stay are side trips outside A/C....BUT, I would have to find a girl to accompany me and one that does not drive me crazy after just one night together (Keeping in mind that these girls are for the most part not great at conversation, like going to dinner with a mummy - I prefer a good book or magazine myself as a dinner companion).
I'll be back in March - but only for one week!
By Metal on Friday, July 30, 2010 - 02:13 pm: Edit |
I agree. And if you would have asked me 3 years ago, I would not have agreed. My last trip of 22 days straight in AC was just too much. 10 to around 16 days is long enough.
By Metal on Friday, July 30, 2010 - 02:24 pm: Edit |
Also - don't bother taking your date to a nice resturant in the SM or Marquee Mall - they all love Jollibe and will not eat the more expensive food. It is a waste of time and money taking the bar girls out to a nice resturant.
By Bwana_dik on Friday, July 30, 2010 - 04:00 pm: Edit |
If you want to splurge and entertain a bar girl in AC, take her to a movie in SM. Buy her some popcorn and she'll think she died and went to heaven.
Five nights in AC is enough for me. By the 7th night I'm ready to shoot myself.

I've done 3 weeks but I always break it up with side trips somewhere. If you are really a true history buff, I hear there is some WW II shit to do.

Flight price dropped by $300... Is $1000 RT a pretty decent deal flying from Calgary Canada?

Each trip I take to A.C. is little longer than the last one. My recent stay was 20 nights, broken up with one side trip. And I almost extended for another week! (Good thing I didn't, that would have had me leaving the day the typhoon hit.) My wing man was there for four months before he could pry himself away.
How long one can tolerate the shithole that is A.C. is a very personal thing.

The last few trips I made I stayed at the Hotel Royal Amsterdam. I liked how the hotel was right across the street (or a few doors down) from my favorite bars. My strategy was to fuck as many women as I could.
I dont think I ever found a woman that was truly hot there. However, the volume, ease of use and good attitudes made up for what was lacking in the looks department. Lets face it. When you are a bit older in the US, any woman in their 20s and lean/athletic is good looking enough to fuck.
Thailand had the better looking women by far and some of the sex there seemed more like I was in a porn movie. However, the women were double the expense, they didnt stay as long and some of their attitudes I didnt really care for. I felt like it was more of a business transaction. As Pattaya was a bit more spread out, it was not so easy to go back&forth. In Angeles, I simply went to the bar next to the hotel, walked the woman back and then she stayed the night OR if she didnt stay the night then I could quickly rebound going to another bar. It seemed more involved in Pattaya with things a bit more spread out.

I thought portege learned his lesson after his trip to Pattaya about staying in "run down, beat-up hotels".
He said he learned "you get what you pay for", apparently he still hasn't learned has he's now recommonding "run-down, beat-up smelly, nasty hotels to a newbie", good luck following his advice your going to need it and you won't be happy !!!!!
By Portege on Sunday, August 01, 2010 - 07:40 am: Edit |
Some hotels in Pattaya were really beat up...I mean totally unlivable. I stayed in one place that was alongside a highway and I felt as if I was sleeping in a construction trailer near a busy site. There were rodents and boy was that a mistake.
However, places like the Royal Amsterdam are far better and featured in many of the trip reports here on the site. If the RA was that bad, would people keep going back and putting it in the trip reports? I never smelled anything bad at the RA, I never saw rodents and the hotel was clean. There was some dull noise in some of the rooms coming from the partying going on outside, but it wasnt so bad to the point where I couldnt sleep or think. In fact, when I wind down at 4am everything is relatively quiet. You can see the Royalle Amsterdam in my trip report of Angeles City. I have stayed in that hotel many times and never had any complaints. Its also featured in many other trip reports. BTW, I was complimented for having some of the better looking Angeles women in that report.
The worst "smell" in Angeles City is walking down Fields Ave. Garbage is thrown in the street and piled up on the sides, the sewage system seems backed up in some areas of town, and that fog isnt fog in the backdrop, but geniune Los Angeles-like smog. I wondered about my own health when I smelled my clothes when I got back. It was a toxic smell unlike any I had ever smelled. Close your eyes in Angeles City, take a wiff and you would swear you are in some undeveloped village in Mexico.
I have been going to Angeles for a while now and was there when the Orchid Inn was the only decent place to go. I remember the Hotel Royal Amsterdam being built and quite a few others. So I think I know a little more about Angeles then Pattaya. The budget hotels in Angeles are far better then the ones in Pattaya. Pattaya is a beach city where folks are more willing to make sacrifices, but Angeles is a dump in the middle of nowhere and so they need to make the places a little nicer to give them reason to stay.
So with that said, I did my research and found this list on a travel website. You cant go wrong with the cheap hotels that have been featured on Clubhombre like the Apartelle Royale, the Central Park, the Royal Amsterdam, and the Swiss Chalet.
The Swiss Chalet is actually a standard of many Australians and its in many of the trip reports on this site. That hotel is owned by an engineer so everything works. The internet is very fast and among the best in Angeles. There isnt noise in the rooms I stayed in because the engineer designed it well. Its right in the middle of the action and the windows are double paned. The food at the Swiss Chalet is pretty good actually and has been given a thumbs up by many reviewer on Clubhombre in the past. I guess the only complaint I had with the Swiss Chalet was the beds...a little thin, but I didnt mind it so because Im not at the arthritis point in life where I really need that extra support. Its still a great value at $36 a night.
The newest edition to the budget class Angeles hotel line is the Pashagroup's Le Mirage Apartelle which can be had for as little as $28 per night. Its right on Fields and this is one of those hotels I was talking about where you can wheel and deal to get the rate lowered a bit. If you pay cash then you get 5% off and if you stay a while you can get a discount too. I can imagine you can get it down to say $25 a night and this one is right on Fields Ave. I usually stay at these locations for a month and drive a mean bargain so I think I could get them down to $20. When I walk out of that place, I hand them $600 cash for a month's stay and be done with it. No credit card bills to worry about. You cant get that deal at any hotel or apartment in the United States.
http://pashagroup.ph/?page_id=70
Again, many of the economical hotels in Angeles are much better then the ones in Pattaya. I wouldnt call the Swiss Chalet or the Royal Amsterdam the "greyhound bus" and they were given positive feedback in many of the trip reports on this site. I dont really think you need a pool. The ladies are so available and cheap that your time is either spent sleeping or fucking.
Angeles City is not a place to go when you want to experience a really nice hotel. This place isnt Hawaii, it isnt Europe, there are no zoos or museums except a few wrecked planes at Clark that were remnants of the cold war era. Angeles is more or less just a truck stop along a highway in the middle of nowhere. Culture? If poverty is a culture, then Angeles has a lot of it. Angeles is not a place where you want to drop a lot of money on a fancy hotel...
Why would a 23 year old want to bask around a pool with a bunch of hairy men more then twice his age in the middle of a true third-world dump? If he isnt spending every waking second fucking, then something is truly wrong with today's youth.

Portege, I can't say I completely agree with that assessment. I like a good (relatively) hotel to call home base after flying 20k miles and to serve as ground zero. Some of my most memorable occasions traveling were poolside with a pool full of smiling hotties.
It depends on how the the lad wants to travel and the overall budget. If was booking a trip today, I would be be at Lewis.
By Portege on Sunday, August 01, 2010 - 09:21 am: Edit |
I wanted to point out, for everyone, that if you click on "Topics" on the left, then "Asia", then "Philippines", then "Angeles City", and then finally "Hotels". There are many hotel reviews for all. Angeles is a well documented place...
The Lewis does look very nice on their website, but I like to be as close to the action as possible. I kind of like being able to walk across the street, pick up the women and walk them back.
I hate riding around in the trikes or walking even a short distance...problem with Pattaya was that I was always walking or riding, but the beach scenery made up for it.

No need to trike to Lewis Grand. A simple call to the hotel and an aircon van will pick you up from anywhere on perimeter or Field within 5-10 minutes 99% of the time. Early AM it takes 2-3 minutes for them to get you.
The pool is great and all the girls in AC love the LG believe me.

I hate, walking, trikes and jeepney's myself. Gurock1 got me hooked renting scooters. Less than $6 a day and I come and go when and where I want and not have to wait for a trike or jeepney. They even come and pick up the bike at the hotel when you leave.
Nightly barhopping and drinking, I usually do walking but my hotel has to be right there in the belly of the beast . Pacific Breeze meets all those requiremets plus a pool.

I think I'ma call Central Park home base... cheaper than Pac Breeze and you get to use their pool. Sorry Portege, but I don't know if I can fuck the whole time... I'm certain I'll need a bit of a break. I suppose I'm a different type of youth.
Been checkin out more trip reports here and I'm getting excited... Thinkin its probably worth close to the $3000 trip I'm thinking it is.

Central Park is a good spot for the price. I just stayed there for 18 days in July. Although it's not quite as posh as Pac Breeze, the staff is top notch and you can use the PB pool. They have been doing some renovations to the hotel, so it's looking better. One thing they need to do is start buying some new sheets. The current rotation is starting to look a little thread bare.
CP is my home away from home in the PI.

By Bwana_dik on Monday, August 02, 2010 - 05:17 pm: Edit |
Real mattresses. Some people have complained about them being too firm, but I found them very comfortable. The cheapest rooms have queens; the others have kings.

Central Park is the right choice for a newbie. The owners take great care to hire and train the staff and it's world class.
They'll go out of the way to help you with any request you may have, don't be afraid to ask for any advice you may need.
Other hotels will pale in comparison, especially lower priced hotels, stay in a lower priced hotel and you'll learn very fast that Filipino's aren't the brightest lights in the house.
Want to go to Subic ?? Ask the staff, not only will they recommend the best hotels but book the room for you.
The things they'll do won't happen at other low priced hotels who'll they'll laugh at your request.
RA is a nice hotel maybe a bit better but no pool and not even close to the staff of CP. I once ask the staff if they could get me a visa extension, the look on their faces was as though they just saw a ghost.
They could not even recommend a place to get it done, CP takes care of such things with ease even filling out your paperr work for you, just sign it and your done.

Married at 23? Whoever says never wins the pool. If your right though, I'll buy you a beer if your in town in late Sept/early Oct. I don't want to afford supporting another with only one income :P. It's good to hear a few CH members may be in town around the same time I am. I have this shy demeanor still that would hopefully be broken fast...
Case in point, go to the massage parlor in town yesterday. Cost is $80/hr for the room. Not so great looking Chinese lady explains the prices then asks what I want extra? "Well what do you have?" "You tell me what you want." "Hrmmm.... Maybe a... you know.. a happy ending?" "A what?" "Uhm... a handjob?" (face gets red) "Oh. Okay. $140/hr then" "Fuck that. I'll wait till I get to AC" (didn't really say that). But none the less, walked out. Had a feeling $140 was a bit steep for a second rate massage + HJ from a woman who has to be pushing 50.
Shit like that might get me into trouble in AC without a bit of guidance. Gotta work on the negotiation.
How far in advance should I book a room at Central Park? Is their availability pretty wide open?
By Don Marco on Tuesday, August 03, 2010 - 09:48 am: Edit |
KM- "Gave me hip pointers from lying on my side"
Hrmm- that's what happens to me on the foam/cheaper mattresses and I avoid them like the plague. Hard doesn't sound good either, firm is. I think I better err on the side of caution and stick to Lewis if I make this trip. One doesn't have the luxury of 100s of Thai masseuses on standby in AC...

Intoit,
You are GOING TO fuck up, ignore every piece of advice given here and have a GLORIOUS TIME.
This hobby is far harder to master than it seems.
You have 23 years of indoctrination and baggage that take YEARS to really shed.
But dammit, you will have some fun. Gwad I wish I had started at 23.
I took my brother to Rio. He had a FULL BLOWN existential CRISIS. "I CAN'T BE HAVING THIS MUCH FUN. THIS IS BAD AND I WILL BE PUNISHED".
It takes awhile to become good at this but damn it is a fun apprenticeship.
The thing to remember now is, It is not that you screwed up, rather it is recovering and moving forward.
Try and not fall in love. Do EVERYTHING in your power to NOT REPEAT with the first girl you boink.
I bet you will. (I did )

Good advice, Smitopher.
Intoit, what you should really shoot for is a "no repeat" visit. Force yourself to pick a new wife each night (or sometimes two, perhaps). Just repeat these phrases:
It's not love, it's lust.
She only loves my wallet, no matter what she says.
Variety is the spice of life.
Have fun!

As for the bed, of course you don't judge by if it is to hard or to soft or has a few stains or something. You judge a good bed by how many convenient attach points it has for all your ropes and how well the edge of the bed lines up with your dick when you are standing on the floor facing it. By those criteria, the canopy beds in Swiss Chalet are best.

I just got back to this thread...Intoit86...you want to fuck the entire time there even if you are tired. The simple fact is that once the trip is over...its over and its back on the airplane you go to a more difficult environment. I know that not even an in-shape good looking 23 year old can fuck all the time in North America....because the women here will not allow it. You know you cant just walk into a bar here everyday and select a woman to fuck.
Basically, you are on a timer that is ticking down once the airplane lands and at some point you have to leave. There is no telling if this will be your last trip because things come up. Maybe your work wont let you go on vacation for a while, maybe you meet the woman of your dreams or maybe you simply cant afford to return.
I would fuck as many women as possible and waste no time. Once you get to the hotel, throw the bags in the closet, dont bother showering or unpacking, just head down to the bars. One hour of wasted time means one more hour you are not fucking.
If you are looking for more of a scenic cultural trip then I suggest going to www.ricksteves.com where he has tours to Europe all setup. Now thats a scenic trip full of culture and sites...but this is a different kind of trip where you trek to a country whose citizens are trying to get out of. Once you get back on the airplane home, you have lost all opportunity to have easy casual sex until the next trip or until your next lucky occasion in North America.
There have been times where I have been exhausted, but drank coffee and forced myself back out knowing the time to get back on the plane was growing ever present. Its ok to get back home and have fucked way too many women, but its not ok to have regrets that you didnt fuck enough women.

Found a decent way to save some coin to get there. Checked out the old air miles I had sitting in my account collecting dust. Enough to get me to SEA where the flights are about $300 cheaper to MNL.
Was thinking bidding on a flight on Priceline.com might save me a bit extra.. maybe $100 or so. Has anyone had experience booking on Priceline?
Most flights are with Korean Air... anyone have any experiences with them? Their economy section looks somewhat decent compared to other carriers such as United...

Korean air is Great as is the layover at icheon the hub. Would take that any day over the delta stop over at narita. Cathay would be great too via HK. When in AC I would imagine there must be several new Korean BBQ restaurants that have opened. And would be a supper yummy meal.

If you end up flying into Incheon, consider grabbing the Asiana flight from there direct to Clark, so you can avoid the clusterfuck known better as the Manila Airport.

Korean Air is the best international flight in economy I've ever taken, highly recommend it if you get a chance.
The problem with using priceline is these international flights can have long layovers and turn into a 40 hour or more flight, unless they give you some kind of timeframe I wouldn't use them to save $100.
Book at CP as soon as you have your flight done and know the dates. The hotel is know to be full a good amount of the time.

Here are inside pictures of the Hotel Royal Amsterdam where a Superior room goes for about $45 a night. I dont think this is a bad deal.
As you can see, its not exactly the smelly hole that some here have reported as such...and its located right across from the bars making it a matter of steps from the action.

Sorry here are the pictures of the hotel along with a few choice pictures of the surroundings which clearly illustrate why I dont want to pay anymore then I have to in Angeles. This place is far from being anything like Thailand or Rio from a scenic perspective.
By Porker on Sunday, August 08, 2010 - 09:03 am: Edit |
It's also not a good deal -- no pool. videoke noise all night from most rooms, sweaty multi-floor walk-up.
Pac Breeze is much better for the money.

One purpose of sites like this one is to find the least costly solution to mongering. You dont go to a website like Clubhombre to learn where the most costly hotels and ladies are. Remember, some of us here are not high powered doctors and attornies. Some of us actually live off of social security. Im not afraid to tell everyone that I am not the richest guy in the world and I dont care if you know that. I worked hard over the years and proud of what I achieved, but I am certainly no doctor, lawyer or stock trader. Some folks on this messageboard like to flaunt the fact that they have money by staying at the most expensive places available, but thats not what sites like this are truly for...if I wanted to know about the most expensive hotels in Angeles then I dont need this website.
So with that said, I give you this low cost strategy for those who are interested.
When I was last in Angeles, it wasnt difficult to find a woman who was willing to do a repeat with me at a significantly lower cost. We would simply make arrangements, she came to the hotel directly and I gave her 1000 pesos without the bar being involved. She stayed as long as she could and then left. We kept it discrete as the bar might have fired her if they had found out. If I went through the usual route, then I would have paid like 1400 for the barfine then another 500 for the tip. Then there are all the drinks and food. So you might be saving 1500 pesos going that route.
You can link up with women off of Facebook who would be willing to come visit you for a significantly reduced cost. You could rent from an off-Fields hotel which are usually cheaper and better quality then the on-Fields variert getting women off of Facebook for 1000 pesos...
For example, the PJ:
http://www.pjramadahotel.com/
You get a 1000 peso a night room at the PJ which used to be a Ramada. It has nice rooms and a good pool to hang out by. You can have 2-3 women a day, stay at a nice hotel and keep it under $100 American per day.
I could get these women to easily stop by the PJ for 1000 pesos...its way off fields and no one would ever see them come in...
So here is a sample budget:
1000 pesos a night at the PJ= $22 American
2 women from Facebook per day at 1000 pesos per= $44 American
500 pesos a day for food= $11
$850 for roundtrip airfare
Total for a 30 day trip = $3160 (airfare, food and hotel inclusive) So for just a 2 week trip you can make it out of there for about $1500.
This would not be a fantastic trip, but it would be an affordable trip where someone living off of unemployment or social security can afford. You would have to find ways of getting in the ladies off of facebook. You might have to approach some of the ladies walking on the street or ask the ladies you get from Facebook if they have any other interesting friends. Quite a few strategies...
Its a no brainer. If I had to decide between a cheap trip or no trip, then its the cheap trip I would choose. The PJ Ramada isnt a bad place to stay and there are hotels in the United States that are much worse. In any event, I am not out to impress anyone with the level of hotel I am staying at. What would I tell my family and friends? I stayed in a nice hotel to bang some ladies in a 3rd world country? Get out, please, get out...

Thanks Portege. I think I'll do a bit from everyone's advice. My friends are desperately trying to get me to do Peurto Vallarta... $700, 7 days all inclusive or $2500 - $3000 for 10 days in AC... Need I ask what you guys would chose :P
By Portege on Monday, August 09, 2010 - 04:05 pm: Edit |
I think you should go to Peurto Vallarta with your friends and have a good time. In regards to pay for play though, its going to be at the same rate as what you would usually get where you live now. It would be about $200-300 per hour and the hotels will not welcome your guests. You wont be able to take them back to the room with you.
Lets say you pick up an American woman in Peurto Vallarta then you will be able to take them back to the room, but the front desk probably wont let you take back the pros.
Honestly, go with your friends and wherever they might be going. You wont be young forever and they will not be young either. Have a good time with your buddies...
However, I have another cheaper alternative which is Colombia. Its $100 one way on Spirit Airlines from where I am located. Its not a place you want to go by yourself though...for safety reasons. I suggest going with a few friends. Read the Blazer's alias trip report and copy it exactly. He has a few good email contacts in there for the room.
You definately do not want to bring any of the expensive electronic stuff to Colombia...

Intoit,
Puerto Vallarta is shit for the hobby. Expensive, ugly girls who'll bleed you for pesos.
AC can be done on the cheaper side by doing a couple of things:
1) Troll Santos/Raymond streets - ST for 700 pesos. I did MUCH more of this than usual during my three weeks there in July. As stated above, no need to buy ladies drinks or deal with some of the other Fields area drama. Moreover, most of these girls know their job and are good at it. In three weeks, I think I pulled 3 duds from here. I had many more duds from Fields/Perimeter.
2) Get a local cell phone number and troll the Fields/Perimeter bars for numbers. My good friend Porker has girls lined up coming to his room mostly for the low, low cost of 500 pesos per session. He tends to barfine a girl from a Fields/Perimeter bar and let's her know if she wants repeat performance, she can come see him on her time without the barfine. He doesn't seem to have a shortage of takers. You'll be amazed at how many sessions you can get simply by getting cell phone numbers in a bar. You need to exercise a little discretion doing this as many bar owners frown on the practice, but it can be done.
As to hotels, I wouldn't stay at the Royal Amsterdam due to the issues I've heard about from more than one person with noise from the videoke bars on the street in the back. I've only stayed at two hotels in AC and would recommend either - Swiss Chalet or Central Park. My current hotel of choice is Central Park. They have a great staff and use of the Pac Breeze facilities at a price lower than the Pac Breeze. Plus, you're right in the middle of the Fields area action. The rooms are not as fancy as some of the other hotels mentioned, but all I need is a mattress and a shower and I'm good to go.
Having gone to both locations, if you offered to send me to either Puerto Vallarta or Angeles and I had to pay double to go to AC, I'd still pick AC.

Puerto Vallarta is best if you want to get drunk and jack off. Philippines is great if you want thousands of LBFM options. Thailand is heaven.
BTW,I stayed in Royal Amsterdam and found it quite pleasant for one night before my Pacific Breeze room became available. I recall the bed being very comfortable, but jet lag may have affected my judgement.

LBMF is much better than jacking off.
By Lovingmarvin on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 - 09:00 am: Edit |
Sorry, but what is LBFM?
Puerto Vallarta versus Philippines??? Easy comparison:
Puerto Vallarta: Beach, great for hanging out with buddies, drinking, great for vacation....for mongering not so! NO comparison to AC from a mongering perspective
Philippines/AC: No beach, ugly, shithole type of 3rd world city, BUT in the top 4 of the best mongering destinations in the world (In my book, #1 Rio, #2 AC, #3 Thailand, #4 Indo). After my first trip to AC, I moved Thailand to 3rd place.
So, if you want to play for pay, no question - go to AC. if you want a nice vacation with your buddies, go to Puerto Vallarta. But if this your first time mongering, just do not think the level of service you receive in Mexico compares anywhere to that of the Philippines.
Hey another option - if you want mongering, plus a beach atmosphere, and more fun place, convince your buddies to go to Pattaya, Thailand.

LM, your kidding about LBFM right... little brown fucking machine? When I first heard it, I was on a plane within a month ;)
I'm amazed folks put Rio above SEA locales. Are you thinking current state or living on past memories/dreams?
By Lovingmarvin on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 - 12:00 pm: Edit |
Seriously, never heard of LBFM before, but now it makes sense :-)
As far as Rio above SEA.....I currently live in Rio. I love Rio in general...mongering is great, the attitudes of the girls is great, overall it is just the best combination of what is important to me: mongering, beach, nightlife, regular non-working girls, etc.... For me mongering by itself gets boring. I like to party, drink, but not only in whoring bars (like in AC). In SEA it seems almost impossible to meet a regular girl that is not at least semi-pro and does not want to suck every little penny out of you. In Rio, at least for me, it is very easy to go out and meet quality girls that are not GDP's. Plus with Carnival, the overall nightlife, it is the best place for mongering and combo vacation in my book - hence it is #1. Forgot to mention - All the best kisser's, including working girls, have always been Brazilians. Thai don't like to kiss, AC so so (they kiss, but badly for the most part), etc...

LBFM is the shortened version. The full, less frequently used, version is: LBFMPBR Little Brown Fucking Machines Powered By Rice

Ugh... Still haven't been able to quite book my trip. How long in advance do I have to book before I can call it SOL for a decent hotel room?
By Khun_mor on Sunday, September 05, 2010 - 11:07 pm: Edit |
Depends on what you call decent and what time of year you are going. No set answer.Usually a month ahead of time should get you a good room.
Non - high season at least.
By Hot4ass2 on Monday, September 06, 2010 - 12:52 pm: Edit |
Khun_mor: I will be in AC sometime early October. It would be cool to to meet a monger of "Legendary, Omnipotent, Bellowing Deity" stature, but I fear spinner availability will be severely compromised by your presence.
Intoit86: The KM definition of a good room does not exactly represent your price category. The top hotels may book early, but I found walk in rooms during high Season (March) while the Pan Am Hash convention was in town. October is low season and hotels probably use door girls to pull you in now.
My adventure is 22 nights and I want to spend 14 nights anywhere except Angeles City. All of my hotel bookings will be short notice. Unlike many mongers here, the prospect of a few nights without pussy does not bother me.
So far I have only booked my first four nights in a Malate Manila hotel and have not decided where to go next. Probably Super Ferry to Cebu for PADI Open Water Certification on Mactan Island, then onto Surigao City where a little hottie wants to rock my world (AKA find a sponsor) and finally up to Angeles.
