This is bad situation. What is the criteria for human trafficing. Is there any way to know if bar girl is working on her own free will?

CAMP Olivas, Pampanga - Police operatives rounded up some 200 entertainment workers at bars along the red-light district of Angeles City.

Senior Supt. Rudy Lacadin, regional commander of 3rd PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, said guest relations officers of Forbidden City, Camelot Club and Dirty Duck Club were rounded up after a number of them had sex with government civilian assets posing as customers.

Lacadin said club workers, including dancers, GROs, waiters, waitresses and managers were brought to the PNP Training School compound at Clarkfield, Pampanga for investigation and documentation prior to filing of charges of violation of Republic Act 9208 or the Anti-Trafficking of Human Act.

In coordination with the National Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, operatives of the 3rd PNP-CIDU backed by members of the 3rd PNP Special Action Force conducted a simultaneous raid on the clubs at 11 p.m.

"We launched the operations against these erring clubs based on the information provided to us by our assets who have been constant guests at the clubs," Lacadin told People’s Journal.

Forbidden City, Camelot Club and Dirty Duck Club are only a few of hundreds of bars and entertainment establishments located along Fields Avenue which cater to foreign and local customers.

Several of these popular bars are owned and operated by British and Australian nationals who were considered "untouchables" in the past because of their reported links to some ranking politicians and police officials.

Lacadin warned that they will push their crackdown on club owners in Central Luzon who are engaged in human trafficking.

"There will be no sacred cows in our campaign against human trafficking, masagasaan na ang dapat sagasaan," Lacadin said.

A total of 2 underage staff were found in Forbidden city, 3 in Dirty Duck and 1 in Camelot bar. Human trafficking charges will be filed against these bars.

After having had sufficient previous warnings, it comes as saddening news that Forbidden City, along with Dirty Duck which reportedly belongs to the same business group, have still allowed minors to work for the bars. Camelot reportedly had one minor who had been working at the bar for a week.

Apparently even though their mothers have provided valid birth certificates proving they are 18 or over they are still being held as underage because their wisdom tooth growth is not sufficient.

Birth certificates be damned !! They have to be under 18.

Here is a picture of the foreigner who has been working with the Police to set up the bars. He has been seen in multiple bars accompanied by two Philipinos undercover police. The poriner does all the talking and tries to get a girl to "barfine" He mentions barfine specifically and is very persistent about it. Now that cell phone photo has been circulated the bars are paying close attention to him and the girls avoid him.

The guy who posted this pic on the Phils board said he " bought" the guy drink. Took a shooter glass into the CR and filled it with unflushed toilet water. I guess you don't remember the raids 3 years ago. Or the raids 2 years ago. Raids have been going on as long as there have been crooked cops in AC and the Philippines, which means forever. It has never had anything to do with who's prez in the US.

Khun_mor stated that these raids seemed much better organized than in past years and involved a special division of the phillipine national police. Supposedly the earlier raids were conducted by local police and had more to do with unpaid bribes. Am I missing something?

These were definitely not raids meant to line anyone's pockets. I have not heard of any payments made to get employees out of jail. In fact there are still 14 people in AC city jail awaiting trial on charges of Human Trafficking. Waitresses and cashiers mostly. Those who had the cash ! Includes the British manager of Camelot. On the job only one week and look what he earned.

I'm just curious, since when are waitresses and cashiers central figures in trafficking? How does holding them represent a serious push on trafficking (assuming it exists)? If they wanted to make a real scene, they'd have taken owners, managers, and mamasans. Lewis would be in jail, since they went after his bars, but I understand he has not been taken in.

This still seems bogus at some level, despite the different set of actors.

"IF" there were girls of questionable age's working in any of those bars, one would think that the mamasons would be the primary managment types that would know that information.

You must understand Pilipino rational. They are required by the US State Department to increase their "trafficking" conviction rate in order to collect all the money that the US government borrowed from the Chinese to give the Philippine goberment. Thus they need fall guys. They most certainly would not want to imprison anyone who can pay bribes because that would not be profitable. Thus to fulfill their trafficking conviction quota to satisfy the US State Department they need to imprison some small time poor folks.

Building the case is easy. Their undercover police operative walks into the bar and barfines a lady. He pays the waitress who brings him his bill with marked cash. He bangs the lady back in his hotel. A documented act of "sex trafficking" has now occurred. Police raid the bar. Cashier is now found in possession of the marked cash which is now in her till. Waitress is the one who took the cash from the police operative. Both are arrested and imprisoned for sex trafficking. Bar girl "trafficking victim" is "rescued" and imprisoned for "rehabilitation" until she is able to buy her release with bribes or sexual favors.

Oh yea, new manager arrested, only one week on the job. Could a set up be any more transparent.

Fall guys everyone of them. Little guys set up and knocked down to placate the US government. US tax payers paid millions of dollars we borrowed from the Chinese to make it happen. WE are paying them millions to ruin the lives of innocent waitresses.
