A lot of new hotels and serviced apartments have sprouted in the Sukhumvit/Nana area over the past few years. Another brand new offering is the Shama Serviced Apartments, located between soi 2 and 4 (Soi Nana), directly next door to the Nana Hotel (so yes, you are spitting distance to NEP). The main entrance is on soi 2, but you can also access it from soi 4.

Shama opened in the latter half of 2010. I have not stayed there yet, but it certainly looks nice from the outside.

Their rooms are listed on Agoda; last I saw they were starting at around $100 a night. If Khun Mor ever gets his ass back to Bangkok, he may just have a new home away from home.

Hopefully someone will check it out and report on what the rooms are like. The location is definitely "ground zero."
