Guess it helps if you can speak Japanese.
Are most of the women from somewhere else?

As far as I could tell, all of the ladies are Japanese. I can't even say hello in Japanese, but it didn't seem to stop me from having a great time. The manager does speak English, so that was critical to getting set up.

Thanks for the info.
I like how they say on their website "foreigners welcome" and then post prices that are almost $100 an hour more for foreigners than Japanese. That makes me feel real welcome. On that basis I'll pass.

"The foreign guests are asked to pay these extra rates. This is the common way of paying requested to the foreign guests."
Hey, at least they are honest.

With the dollar down, they should feel sorry for us and lower the price.

Back in my Asia days, when confronted with this blatant racism in Japan, I usually responded with the following.
"Hiroshima, Nagasaki, boom boom, ha ha".

It is comforting to know we can count on Catocony to be the international ambassador of goodwill on behalf of all Americans.
