Im interested in taking a trip to Bankok within the next 2 months. I would like to stay for 8 days. Im leaving from LAX in california. For you guys that have been there before please tell me how much it would cost for airfare,hotel,and sex..total...i hope to spend no more than $1,500 USD... is this reasonable?

Duece - If you want to fly very cheap China-Air out of Taiwan can get you there for around $600.00 though their safety record is not too good. Otherwise I found most tickets around $900.00. A friend found a Ticket on EVA air for March for a good price as well. Hotels in BKK are around $40.00 to $60.00 and the rest well it just depends what you are looking for. I like to budget $150.00 to $200.00 a day when I travel, but you can do much less than that in Thailand. I would also look at other areas besides BKK.. they are cheaper if you are on a budget.

I just purchased my ticket last week on Thai Airlines - total cost of $680. I know that China Airlines still has tickets that run about $630. Thai Airlines is sold out at that rate for the Thanksgiving period. Hotels are very cheap. I usually use hilton points and stay there. The Nana hotel across the street from the Nana Ent plaza runs for 1000 baht. When I was there a couple of weeks ago the baht was trading at 42 to the dollar. You can usually get an allnighter from about 1000- 2000 baht depending on your negotiating sklls.

Might also check out the Omni Towers in BKK. It's right down the block from Nana, so it's close, without being across the street.

Reviews I've been given have been top notch for about 1600TB per night as a starter rate. YPMV.
