I would like to hit Nana Plaza this spring, is the Nana Plaza Hotel any good? I heard the plaza has 3 floors and about 30-40 bars full of extreme babage, any favorite hang-outs you guys could recommend would be most appreciated. What about prices. I would also like a gf experience and would like to take a few to the beach and may be deep sea fishing, is this cool? How safe are the red-light districts? Police attitude? thanks..SB

Salsa - I would not stay at the Nana hotel as its hit and miss with rooms. The first time I stayed it was fine the second I got a really dumpy room and was told from a reliable source that is the norm. There are several other hotels in that area that are good. Nana Plaza can be fun but after spending time in Pattaya on my next trip I will skip BKK. IMHO the MP's are better in BKK than the GoGo bars, you know what your going to get. If you want a GFE trust me, go to Pattaya.

I stayed at the Nana in December 2000, the quality is ok for the price you pay and it's close to the action, but more important for me, in case I haven't made my choice by 1 or 2 am, I just go to the Angels disco at the ground floor, so many girls there, ready to be picked up, I make my choice and back to my room in 1 minute! Very convenient!

I stayed at the hotel Sept. 11 thru the 23rd, 2002. Rate for a standard room is 1000 BT plus a 7% Tax. This includes a terrific buffet breakfast, a copy of the English language Bangkok Post discretely placed under your door each morning. Frig. and bottled water supplied every day. The hotel restaurant is excellent and reasonable. I wasn't too happy about the room service, food was cool, missing dishes, and forgot creme and sugar for coffee. Deserts were excellant. The hotel also gives you a complimentary drink coupon in the hotel bar, where old Thai Hookers go to die.

Well then there is a match....The lobby of the hotel is where old mongers go to die. I haven't seen the guy with the walker yet, but a couple of guys were close to it.

I used to avoid staying at the Nana for obvious reasons --- soiled carpets, torn sheets, bedroom smelled like a warn out brothel kind of thing, the bathroom dripped nicotine from the ceiling ...

Well the good news is that most of the rooms have been refurbished - the carpets in the rooms are not so stained and many are new(ish, the bathrooms have been well overhauled with the ceilings no longer dripping ashtrays

Fundiver is right - it's now good value for money

Don't agree about the food - it's got to have been the worst Thai meal I've ever had !

Just remember to ask reception for your breakfast voucher everyday and if you don't get a newspaper under the door (which does happen) then ask the floor lady for it

PS --- if you want to go "upmarket" try out their Junior Suites (1250 the last time I tried them - may have gone up since then (a year ago))

They also have full suites at 2200 plus --- not good value for money if you ask me ...

The single bed rooms are much better than the double bed rooms. Also no one is saying at the Nana they very discreetly (by the elevator where you can’t be seen from the lobby) take the girls I D card information. I felt uncomfortable with this at first but now I like it. It is almost impossible for an underage girl to get you in trouble or for a bad one to rip you off or drug you. Between the clout of the Nana and the fact they have the girls I D card any girl you bring to your room will behave. No other hotel offers that type of security.

The cheapest way to book this hotel is through Nana Tours that is in the hotel. Their fax number is 2543903. If you give them your flight number arriving in Bangkok and the flight is delayed, they will save your room for you and not charge you if you have to miss a day.

Also. the Nana has a laundry service that is reasonable, not a rip off like the big hotels. There's a swimming pool too but I didn't like it.The staff is friendly but does not get in your face.

I have stayed at the Nana on all my trips and have no complaints (apart from the views from the windows - always got a inside room so only saw the hotel as a view) the rooms are basic but thats not what i go to LOS for, if i wanted spanking rooms then i would saty else where. The guards by the elevators take the girls id cards and so far i have not had a problerm with a girl. The Angels disco is in the lobby, and there are freelancers in th ebar area (if you like / want older women) NEP is across the road and the sky train station is walking distance.The internal massage girls do offer "limited extras" but with Annie's and Edens only 10 mins walk away IMHO i would not use the hotels massage service. The swimming pool has been moved - well a new one has been built, as you walk up the drive the building directly infront of you has the swimming pool on top. Laundry service is good and prompt.The rooms are cheep B1000 std. I like it for what i use it for screwing and sleeping. And if you can't find your "partner" in the Go-Go's then the parking lot out front is a good place to hunt after 2am.

I finally decided to try this hotel after all these years of coming to LOS. i was charged B1,000 strd. think it went a little since last year. room is big, good cable tv, hot/cold wtr/laundry service/safety box at front desk. i was happy with the set up, maybe 'cause i'm not that picky. they also give give you a breakfast buffet as hotel guest!!! room service 24 hrs, convenient to have NEP across the street and quite a sight to see all those girls in the parking lot in front the hotel at 2 am!!! even if you don't have a girl by then is never too late to get the one for the night!!!. staff was very attentive, no hassle with girls and friendly all the way. wouldn't mind coming here again.////

I always found it to be clean, comfortable with very basic sparsely furnished rooms. Have they re modeled all the rooms yet ?? Some of the furniture and carpets were getting quite worn. Overall I always enjoyed my stays there and I am fairly fussy about hotel rooms. The suite rooms are nice but all on the third floor - right above the disco. Do NOT plan on sleeping from 8PM to 2AM - usually not a problem, but still not worth the significant extra charge.

NANA HOTEL is indeed an institution on Soi Nana in Sukhumvit. Whether you intend to stay here for long or not it is hard to beat the value-for-money deal. It's still very cheap, especially considering its prime location and facilities. The 24 hour resturant/coffee shop, 24 hour room service, Angels Disco, cocktail lounge and endless supply of freelancers make it a great HQ for mongers. If you aren't too fussy 1,000 baht per night is a terrific deal. Suites are available too.

I stayed at Nana Hotel during my last days of my Thailand trip. I loved it. Sure it's not 5 or 4 star quality. The staff was not overly friendly but not rude either. Room cleaned everday, good water pressure, 24 hour coffea shop, Angels disco onsite, massage service in hotel , also can get thai massage in your room with happy ending. Great location across from Nana Plaza in Sukhumvit area. 1490 baht per night.

It is 1490 baht still. it is in a great area and is a decent hotel. the take the girl's id everytime. nana plaza is across the street and there are free lancers around the hotel. it would be nice if the internet was free. i bought the card from the hotel and it did not work. i just went to the internet cafe.

there is a disco inside the hotel but i have not been inside it yet.

They gave me an 8th floor room for 1495 baht. Upon entering, there was a roach running across the bedspread. Welcome home. On other forums they say this hotel is good or bad, so been reading through posts and it seems it's been refurbished so got new furniture but because it was built in the 60s still a bit run down.
