This hotel is on the corner Gunung Sahari and Jalan Industri. I have always liked staying at the Novotel Mangga Dua instead because I have the mall right there and it is very convenient. But I am considering the Sheraton since I have Gold status with Starwood now.
Has anyone had issues bringing ladies back to the hotel?
Any other thoughts on this hotel?

I brought one back once and didn't have a problem. But I am Platinum and know the hotel staff rather well so while I think one can generalize from my experience, it is not certain. Incidentally, although I have soured on the Transjakarta bus system relative to the first couple times I used it, from the Sheraton Manga Dua is just one stop away (and the bus stop is in front of the Sheraton).
As to the hotel itself, I have found the staff there to be the most friendly in any hotel I have stayed at, anywhere. For Platinums the upgrades are great (two-room suites) but I don't know whether they upgrade the Golds to suites.
Generally I like the hotel, although it is a bit shop worn.

A couple of other things to consider:
If you haven't already noted this, you can stay using Cash & Points. $25 plus 1200 starwood points a night (although the $25 morphs into maybe $32 by the time they add taxes, service charges and an egregious 6 percent (approximately) currency conversion charge into rupiah.
Also, in-room internet is rather expensive (maybe $15 a day) unless you have platinum status, in which case it is free. I believe the executive lounge (17th floor) has free WiFi, but I'm not sure. The executive lounge is open until 11 pm. Don't know if Golds get access or not; they probably do but I am uncertain about this.
Also, Bluebird taxis hang out there, so it is not difficult to find a decent taxi (although the traffic in the area can get horrendous at times).
