I usually stay at The Vault but since I had the points decided to cash them in and stay at the new Hilton Pattaya. The hotel sits on the 16th floor directly above a huge mall and is next to the Pattaya police station facing Beach Rd. My only obvious concern was the joiner fee which I found out was 1000 baht. The way around paying this fee is as follows: there are 2 elevators. Elevator 1 takes you from ground level up to the 16th floor front desk. Elevator 2 takes you from there up to the guest rooms. Take elevator 1 to the 15th floor which is for the Flare restaurant. You can get to elevator 2 from there, take your girl to your room and bypass the front desk and security. Worked like a charm.

The elevator trick only works until 11pm.
At that point all elevators ONLY stop on the 16th floor for reception, not 15 or 17
