Does anyone know if there is any action on Boracay Island?

Hmmmmm. Tough one to answer. We stayed there for 4 days and I mostly saw couples and families on vacation. Oddly alot of them were Filipinos, and Boracay is expensive. I am sure you can find a girl, although she may not be a bar girl, the fact that you are a foreigner will intrigue her. If you are staying at one of the upscale hotels your odds will probably increase. There are lots of markets and plenty of eligible Filipinas working there. If you're not shy, you should be able to find a cutie. If your looking for a go-go bar it's probably best to stay in AC

Forget Boracay as the prettiest girls there were brought in from Manila by the guy she is with! Boracay is a place where you BRING your own girl!

I recently visited AC and Makaty. Honestly said the quality in AC is poor as compared to what you can find in Burgos Street. Okay, it may be a bit more expensive but even P3000 is no more than USD 60. Believe me, you get a lot for it.
Walking in the mall and being a white guy already makes girls glancing at you. A good hotel helps a lot. It may even be great fun if you take the girl out for a bite and buy her some nice things, clothes or shoes etc. Afterwords it appears that she is more like your fiancee than a short time girlfriend. Mind you, we are from the wealthy west and whatever it may cost you it is only a very small amount as compared back home and you are doing a good job.

Just got back from a 2 day excursion to Boracay from AC. Took my own 'girl friend' - barfine from Cherry's Club. Will do a full trip report later. Some quick comments:
- travel light
- September is depths of low season, everything battended down against SW monsoon winds
- expensive compared to AC, but generally higher quality
- girl friend virtually essential
- FL scene does exist. Only happening place is Cocomanga bar, at northern end of main road. Not sure on rates but girls quite cute.

Ditto on the travel light advice. Only way onto Borocay is these small ferry boats and once on the island you get around via motorbike or tricycle.

Didn't see any P4P action , but lots of cute chics. If you want a sure thing, must bring your own chick. Make sure it's a chick you get along with cause you will be flying there, riding boats, tricycles, lots of changes in transport modes and last thing you need is to be with a someone bitching, whining, or complaining.

The reason Boracay has little p4p action is that you can get a lot of it for FREE. When i went there, i had a cutie with me, but didn't stop me from looking at ALL THE GROUPS OF GIRLS IN CLUBS JUST WAITING TO TALK TO SOMEONE!! I had some good flirty conversations whenever my cutie went to the CR (bathroom). Many of these girls are foreign, some are white, so really hooking up options are abound. However, if p4p action is what you seek, im sure some of the filipinas in the clubs were freelancers.

As far as hotels go, getting an expensive hotel in Bora is bullshit. I paid 1000 pesos per night for an aircon/refrigerator/hot water room with 2 queen size beds just 30 seconds from the beach. My friend paid 3000 pesos, and the only thing he had which i didn't is a porch right ONTO the beach. So i walked 30 seconds to the nearest beach based bar, while he could stay on his porch and mix drinks himself.

What i WOULD spend money on in bora is the FOOD. Its fucking good, even though its higher than filipino in price. Paradise grill is my favorite, but mongolian grill, and the tapas cuban place at the mall are also excellent. The numerous crepe places available are quite delicious too.

i would have to agree on paradise grill. Had a GF with me on that trip and i did pack light. I did have a great lobster tail there expensive for PI but good none the less. Did some parasailing, reef walking and rented a jet ski so it is alot of fun. I met an hombre there that brought his GF from AC.

Chicks at Cocomongas and later on the beach
at Summer place and Hey Jude. No problems to
get lucky p4p, but there are a lot of tourist
gals, Korean, Japanese, Australian etc etc for
the pickings if you play it right, babes on
holidays.
Good food but of course more expensive that
other PI areas but also better.
My first trip to Bora was 1986, you could not
get a cold beer or ice for your RC

Anyone ever been to Boracay and Phuket? I would be curious seeing a comparison. I've been to Boracay but did not partake in any P4P. I heard that Phuket ,especially Patpong Beach, has it all.

baracay is best to bring your own, BUT if you don't there is alot of p4p for sale cocamongas club is the biggest for this, but be careful some are youg. also they opened alot of new clubs all over the beach and there are groups of locals in alot of them, sorry i didn't get anymore 411, but i had my girl with me, happy hunting guys !!!

Just got back from Boracay last week.
There is definately some mongering there, but dont expect the level of mongering that you get in Angeles City.
Cocomongers has girls and starts up at around 9pm.
Summerplace also has girls and kicks off at around 12 midnight.
Hey Jude was closed for renovations.
I had no trouble mongering in boracay except that my hotel was not really "girl friendly" and we had to slip the security guard 400pesos to let the girls in.
Girls ask for 3000pesos but you can negotiate them down to 2000-2500pesos.
Boracay is an awesome holiday destination.
I would highly recomend it.

boracay is tiny compared w/ phuket, ko samui, bali, etc., & less overrun by hypertourism. though still touristy (itīs PIīs most popular beach resort), White Beachīs fine white sand & turquoise water nicer than the above islands, imho. better to go during off-season when less crowded.

for peace, quiet, pristine beaches go to the tiny islets off the coast of el nido, palawan.
