I stayed in this hotel several times in January-February 2015 (going back and forth to BKK). Prices were around $60-$80 on Agoda, depending on the day I looked; once trying to book the weekend on Friday the prices were over $100.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is on Soi 6/1, at the foot of Soi 6. It's an easy walk back to the hotel with your teerak of the hour from the Soi of Sluts.

Also, it's pretty much right on the beach and it's a nice stretch of beach (not like around Soi 13). The restaurant is directly on Beach Road.

Room service was good, and extra towels were always available, although once I had to request three times.

One drawback: when I tried to bring two girls back to my room, they wanted to charge 1,000 baht extra. So we left, and came back via the entry by the pool on the lower level which bypassed the front desk (on the 2nd floor).
